Move from Coquitlam to Winnipeg.

I sought out this company via a search for moving companies, to help my son move his furniture from his dorm like room(after finishing university), back home. From the start, I was dealing with Liz and Emily. Both were very helpful and kind. Both were also very clear as to what the service entailed and what the cost would be. Before his belongings were picked up we were told the cost, and what the charges would be for some special packaging we requested. A deposit was charged and were told an approximate time of delivery (which was about a month after pickup). The pickup was on time, and went off without a hitch. About a week before the approximate delivery date, we were given a window of 4 days for it to come, and because of a snowstorm the first day, it was rescheduled for the next day. We were kept apprised of the whole situation. Once the driver was an hour away we received a phone call to let us know and he was at the delivery point on time. Nothing was damaged, and everything was received that we shipped. And at the end of the day, the final charges were correct as told to us. I would recommend this company to anyone who is moving a smaller load of belongings(less then truckload). Of course, you have to realize that in order for Atlanntis to be able to run a viable business, and make money, their aim is to be moving a full trailer(multiple households). Which is why it takes a month to receive their belongings. As far as complaints about the cost being higher than quoted, I think that would be the customers miscalculation of their own goods. When my son shipped, we were very specific about what he had to move. Regardless, I highly recommend them as a moving company.

Despite what many of these reviews would lead you to believe, Atlanntis Van Lines is the premier company for LTL moves. I made my move from Coquitlam in December of 2019, moving a room's worth of furniture. As a college student, I did not have a large amount of furniture or possessions to move, and so the 1000lb minimum quotes made by other competitors were far too high for my liking. Thus, we decided to work with Atlanntis. Emily and Liz were my two head office reps that helped me through the entire process, and they were very friendly and helpful every time that we inquired about both the status of my move and any other questions I might have had. The day the movers were scheduled to arrive, they arrived on-time and were very quick and efficient. They inventoried my items, and provided me with copies of all the necessary paperwork. As an LTL company, Atlanntis' quotes are far cheaper than their competition. A caveat to this, of course, is that shipments take far longer to leave their origin city as they wait to fill their trailers, hence the month-long (on average) wait for your possessions. Anybody making an order with Atlanntis MUST be aware of this fact, and expect that their possessions will be delivered in about a month's time from pick-up. Once my items arrived in Winnipeg, we were given a four-day window (January 16-20) for my items to be delivered. Initially, they had scheduled for the 17th, but due to terrible weather conditions, they rescheduled for delivery on the 18th. During this entire process, communication was fantastic, and I was never left guessing about the whereabouts of my items. Finally, everything arrived in perfect shape (just as I had sent them off in). No damage to any of my possessions (aside from a Rubbermaid container which may have…

I contracted Atlanntis Van Services for moving services from Regina, SK to Victoria, BC. I would recommend for anyone considering hiring this company to be aware of the following: the initial quote is very misleading as it provides estimated based on 3000 lb weight; the pick-up and delivery dates are beyond your control; be vigilant with the final invoice; and (this is still causing some pain in my case) the Client Services are beyond any reasonable expectations. A misleading quote: although the initial quote provided through the on-line application seems attractive, one should expect that it will triple at the end. Atlanntis will ask to fill a detailed inventory form to determine "the minimum weight" baseline. This, most likely, will inflate the final bill by at least 100%. Be aware that additional charges could be added (read fine prints) even if the services have not been provided. The pick-up/delivery dates: the company's policy wording is tricky as it does not give exact dates and incorporates some extra time in-between. For example, the pick-up date is within a one week period. The delivery date is never specified; instead, it gives "Dates truck departs from origin province (these are not delivery dates)." In my case, there have been ten days between the pick-up week date and departure time from the original province. Final bill: CHECK IT TWICE and compare it to initial estimates. My "final" invoice included the cost of storage for no reason and eliminated a 5% discount offered under the terms of a contract. Client Services: the company lost THREE boxes during the move. Following the company's policy, I filed a claim which supposed to be resolved within 6-8 weeks (this is by itself is a timeframe that can create trust issues with the company). Any follow-up…

Moved from ON to AB with this company as they appeared legitimate online at first. However once they picked up our items and had them in their vehicle things took a drastic turn. We asked for the status of when our items would arrive and they became hostile and dismissive. The driver was 3 hours late to deliver with NO attempt to let us know (it came at 9PM in the evening so it would of been nice to have been prepared). The driver was extremely aggressive as soon as he got out of the truck. It was myself, my wife, and my mother in the beginning and the driver immediately demanded we give him (at first $500) $300 cash or else he threatened to leave ALL our belongings outside in the pouring rain. The driver pretended he didn't know how to drive the truck into the space, though he had no problem doing it once he started to do it. Once my father arrived the driver changed his attitude, interestingly enough. When I informed the company about it they took zero responsibility and when you ask them to speak to a manager or someone higher in the company they ignore your emails or hang up the phone on you. I wrote this review as people need to be aware of these kind of scammers.

> You have an extra 5 boxes to ship on moving day? $500! Without even seeing or weighing. Don't want to pay? "we can cancel, but you'll owe us $1,800" is not what you want to deal with on moving day. "We're giving you a deal here, it's heavily discounted sir" > Your cross-country move is coming in 2hrs (after 5 days of silence), your payment is due in FULL NOW. Oh not convenient? We're dropping your entire household somewhere for you to pick up for an extra charge. > You want to pay by credit card? 3% surcharge! Maybe you can run to the bank and get cash?"($4,938) Atlanntis Van Lines is a fraud.

I would leave zero or negative stars if it were possible. The most disgusting company to deal with. Rude obnoxious sales staff. Dispatcher is one step above licking windows. They do not return inquiries as to tracking or phone calls as to tracking. Took a month for our household goods to arrive. Changed the quote last minute to over double the initial quoted rate. Held our goods hostage because they did not let anyone know when they would deliver and threatened to leave while waiting for an etransfer despite the fact it was sent and confirmed. Disgusting and deplorable.

I WOULD LEAVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. I contacted Atlanntis Van Lines for my move from Edmonton to Toronto in late July 2019. They picked up my items on on August 3, 2019. I began to get suspicious about the nature of this company when the men who came to move my things were being very rough with my boxes. I stood there and politely asked them to be gentle and they grumbled and obliged. I was told the delivery date for my items in Toronto would be August 15th by a customer service agent. When I arrived in Toronto on the 15th and contacted the company about when the delivery would be, I was told by the same agent that this was simply the day when they would being to TRANSPORT my items, and that my things would be delivered later the next week. I am not sure the exact day my items arrived, it was either the 22nd or 23rd of August. But to have my items for almost an entire month for a drive that takes two days was ridiculous. I begin to unpack my things, and I notice they smell strange. The towels felt stale. On top of this, a few of my boxes arrived completely opened, and more were bashed around and falling apart. They clearly were not treated with respect. Most of my items were okay, except the one box I was praying that they wouldn't damage. It contained some unique and special items that I cannot replace. I contacted the company about my damaged items and sent me a claim form to fill out. They then told me they would respond to the claim within 6-8 weeks. I thought this was a long time, but I was willing to be patient and wait. It is now November 1st, and I have just received my claim back. It has been 10 weeks. I have been extremely patient and have tried very hard to work with these people. They are only willing to compensate me 15$ for my damaged items, as I had packed…

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Their customer service is so bad it's almost criminal. We moved from Montreal to Toronto on August 28, 2019. Our quote was decent to begin with, but ballooned to almost three times that amount based on the weight of our stuff, which I will mention was a one-bedroom apartment's worth (for a couple). The pickup window was missed by several hours, which we are aware sometimes happens and were prepared for. However, the movers themselves were incredibly rude and told us that moving them mattress was "our job, not theirs". We witnessed them drop and break a family heirloom chair, which had been taped back together when it arrived in Montreal. Delivery was relatively quick in Toronto, and was on time. However, multiple boxes of things we need for daily living were missing from the delivery. When we reported this to dispatch (Emily was our rep) and followed the necessary claims process, we never heard back. We have now called every few days for approximately six weeks with no news on where our stuff is. Every time we call, we are told that they will be "asking the warehouse men" where the stuff is, and we never receive a call back. We are incredibly frustrated that no measures are being taken to find our stuff. On many occasions, dispatch has actually gotten angry at us for asking about the status of our boxes. It's actually crazy. We are understanding people, and we know that these things occasionally happen. However, the way that we are being treated by customer care has completely ruined this experience for us. Do not hire this company.

They had 20 days between loading and deliver of my furniture and yet the day before delivery called me and told me the supposedly remaining amount of my move with no invoice and I have to pay it immediately or my move will be delayed! when I asked for invoice got a list of costs with more than $100 mistake in adding costs and an extra $175 packing cost that I did not asked for or even informed about! avoid them if you could or be super careful with everything!

This is probably the worst moving company we ever dealt with. They showed up late for pick up and were still loading after dark. ( they were supposed to be there between 11&3. After our stuff was picked up, according to their quote it was to be taken and weighed and we were to receive a printed invoice of what the charges were. We did not receive this, and did not receive the actual amount until the day before delivery, even though I made numerous calls to get this information. Even though we supplied them with a list of items to be moved their over the phone estimate wasn't even close to what we were charged. In addition when the truck arrived to deliver our stuff they attempted to add an additional $500.00 for a stair fee even though I was told ahead of time that it would be between $200 & $300. The damage they did to our furniture and items was unbelievable and after contacting them about it I was asked if we packed our items ourselves. I stated yes and was told it was therefore not insured for damages So I guess if you pack yourself it gives them free reign to treat your belongings with the utmost disdain. Nice. We would never use this company again nor recommend to others. Even though we did do a check to see if they were reliable I guess it depends on you description of reliable.
