Full house removal.

I had an excellent experience with this removal co. As a single parent with two boys- the team arrived, I wasn't fully packed, my possessions were everywhere I was overwhelmed, unpacked stressed and very emotional. It was a huge job..my furniture, wardrobes,washers, & beds all needed dismantling. The men just got on with it, they got spare boxes and bags out of the van and went to work, telling me don't worry we will handle it from here. I felt awful as they had to carry big pieces of furniture right round the back of the house and along a walkway through the back door- they did this with ease- amazing!! All I had to do was make coffee/tea..I even managed to go run some errands. I can not thank them enough, by tea time I had beds made up & the washer plugged in, they even plugged my tv aerial in. The men were fantastic in the conditions they had to work in. I never want to move again, but if I do it will be Bowles removals I'll be using.

Excellent team of Alex & Carl,went out of their way to ensure satisfaction during a stressful day. Would recommend to any prospective customers. Unable to take all the many garden pots but we're able to make some very quick and acceptable arrangements to re deliver at a later date. Worth checking the overall volume to ensure the capacity of the vehicle is appropriate particularly with garden items,.

2 day job- packing and part load.

2 day job with a packing service and part load. My removal was then completed loading and moved out by 12 on 2nd day. We moved from a large house to a smaller one so there were quite a few challenges along the way. The team were fantastic, friendly and helpful. We were really pleased with the service they were professional from start to finish. Well worth the money to reduce the stress of moving home. Also all the packing was done with great care and attention. If we ever move again we will definitely us.

I was very nervous/stressed as we were attempting to move having just had a baby , and moving with two very inquisitive cats. All through the process from booking my move and the weeks leading up to moving day the office staff put us at ease and kept us well informed. On the day of the removal the removal van turned up on time and from start to finish the men were fantastic. They completely understood how stressed I was and nothing was to much for them one of the men even made me a brew. I can not recommend this company enough, they had to put up with me being very hormonal and hyrate at times. I would recommend to all my friends and family. Thanks again for a great service,what a great bunch of guys we will use again.

Overcharging and Damage.

I wish I had read these reviews prior to using this company! See below email sent to this organisation; Further to my messages last week, to which I have had no response, please provide details of your insurance cover and how you will be compensating us for the cost of repair to our dining table that was severely damaged (the wood has been gouged out rather than scratched) along its entire 1.5m length by your operatives during our move from XX to XX on XX. I have decided to write off the broken uplighter that was also broken during the move and brought to my attention by your operatives. I have already expressed my disgust at being held to ransom to pay the additional fee's that you charged on the day, increasing my agreed quote from £250 to £425. While I accept that I did under estimate the number of boxes that we had (though your definition of the size of a medium or large box is significantly different to mine) moving a 4 bedroom house in a single run in a 7.5tonne Luton Van is physically impossible, particularly given the bulky items that were listed on the inventory. You even neglected to provide a van with a tail lift to move an upright piano! As a result I have had to pay significantly in excess of the original quote for you to provide, in the end, 4 men and 2 vans (the second of which spent 2 hours driving round "lost" while I sat in the street on a freezing January evening) to complete the original job, which was only concluded at 10.30pm on a Friday night, and did not include the rebuilding of furniture, including the above dining table, that was quoted for. Unfortunately, having now read a number of online reviews, this appears to be a common tactic employed by your organisation. Stolen goods.

Hi, I've had lots of things stolen by this company, over charged beyond belief as well to add insult to injury. So, I am setting up a website to expose these people for what they are. If you have had a positive(doubtful) or negative experience with these people please contact me so I can create a website showing exactly what people will be dealing with with this highway robber.

We sent a full list of items and said to visit before agreeing the price. Peter said it would fine. The van arrived 3 hours late and was way to small. The removal men were friendly and did their best. However after leaving with one load, we were held to ransom by Peter at gone 6 o'clock saying we had not provided a full list of items and he would send his men away if we didn't pay more money. At that time we had no chose. When the we had paid and they returned for the additional items (which were on the list) we discussed that they had broken one of the lamps, they hadn't told us and when conformed they said oh yes sorry we were going to tell you and speak to the office about a compensation payment. We contract the office and over four weeks latter and threats of legal action we have not had any money for their actions. I would not recommend this firm at all, as the owner is extremely rude and abusive once he has you in the middle of a move. They have no customer care and clearly don't care about your belongings, they just care about getting your money.

What a disaster, we had initial quote to move of £250. We questioned to price as we had a 3 bad terrace with garden equipment. Lee ( owners son) came round and re-quoted £295. Eventually due to circumstances delayed by prospective purchase, we had to store a lot of furniture and have a skeleton amount delivered to the new property 4 miles from our old property. Owner agreed to do this but quoted £400 to do this, doing storage the day before and moving the following day. Owner held us over a barrel by not committing to our moving date until late the evening before after he had taken our main items into storage and had taken our money that day as well. Eventually delivered our items but demanded more money which I refused but I tipped the lads who worked hard and quickly, but you have to watch them as the word 'Fragile' was ignored with heavy boxes loaded onto them. I contacted the owner via phone and email at least 6 times to try to pay interim payments, get a quote for the storage costs for 16 weeks etc. Only time he replied was 8 days before the delivery of our storage goods to the house. By the time I saw the email as we had no broadband was 5 days before that delivery. I provided a cheque by post for over £1600 which he rang up the night before saying he got the cheque too late and wouldn't deliver the goods unless I paid by bankers draft that night. I went to his property to retrieve the cheque and return home to pay by faster payments through my bank. Had he communicated earlier and allowed us to pay some amounts as interim payments, this would not have been necessary. I have moved properties on 15 previous occasions but never dealt with such a poor removals company. previous reviewers comments about oil leaking all over the road and drive are also true and Lancs…

Moving half mile.

The movers arrived early in a van which was leaking oil all over the path. The 2 men were sociable enough but one was clearly not able to lift very well as he had a broken shoulder bone. We assisted with the loading a great deal. When the bedroom wardrobe was erected it had been damaged on the front of the door. The boss was abusive to us and as yet has not offered to compensate us at all nor has he replied to my emails. Next step - Solicitors. NEVER AGAIN.
