I had excellent service with this company. The price range was perfect and exactly how I calculated, actually it was cheaper. I was only moving my personal items. I brought maybe, four pieces of furniture. The lady I was in contact with Kelly was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I was referred to capital by a co-worker. My entire team ended up using this company from his referral. We all made the move from Victoria, British Columbia to Toronto, Ontario. Prices were very reasonable considering the service. I booked in with a lady named Kelly for my 3 bedroom house. I was a little skeptical after reading a few reviews, but she reassured me that in any business you'll find ups and downs and there was an explanation for it all which I understood. The nice drivers picked up my stuff from Victoria, and did all of what I expected. I was told to expect 7-10 business days for wait time from when they left Vancouver. My items did arrive 2 days late because of delays caused by the weather. They explained that I was paying consolidated moving prices so they do pick ups and drop offs on the road and that the weather isn't something that can be controlled. My items arrived in Toronto intact, which I was afraid wouldn't be the case because of the reviews. After giving a list of my goods I was originally quoted to have about 9000-11,000 lbs. In the end I was weighed at 10,620 lbs, which is pretty good since I thought I'd have way more. PROS: - good prices - nice service - Kelly included the price for the ferry so I wouldn't be seeing an extra charge - prompt email replies - was given tips on how to pack. CONS: - delayed by 2 days due to weather - they only reply mon-fri (I called in on a weekend) - the uncertainty of the moving industry Based on what I've read, I believe it may be based on the person who's helping you. My entire team moved with Kelly and it went fine.. I'm not sure if they operate out of a call centre or a small office. When I call in I always reach another person.

Shouldn't make promises they can't keep.

Move went awful - we were promised delivery between June 1-4 and we were called May 29 by dispatch who yelled at me that we better find a place for them drop off our stuff May 30 or they would store it and charge us up the as* for it. We had to pack up the rest of our belongings and 3 animals, without saying goodbye to our friends and family, and make a stressful cross country drive with very little sleep to get us here in time. We then had to store our stuff ourselves and move it all into our new home ourselves. The driver Gohkan was the only person in this transaction who had sympathy and was accommodating. We were given a contract with Green Moving and Storage instead of Capital, we were told Green Moving and Storage (who has awful BBB rating and reviews) just did the accounting. Capital and Green are the same company don't be fooled.

I hired Capital Moving & Transport to move my 88 year old mother from London, Ontario to Halifax, NS. BIG mistake. Worst decision ever. They were inconsiderate, unprofessional, extremely disorganized and dismissive. I started out anxious because I did not get confirmation of pick-up until mere hours before we were due to be out of her apartment and on a flight to Halifax. Once the 2 workers arrived they worked very hard to get the move completed before we had to leave. Gohkan, the driver, was very considerate and a very hard worker but it was crazy to think they would send only 2 men for a long distance move such as this. As our time to leave had passed and we were 30 minutes late in leaving, we were forced to move the remaining items into the hallway so we could lock up the apartment, turn in the keys and get to the airport on time for our flight. The movers were left to finish up on their own without supervision and we had to hope that all items would make it on to the truck. Their price was good and their weigh-in was pretty accurate. I have heard of many companies 'padding' the weight to earn more money so I was pleased to see the final invoice was even below the estimate given. But that's where my praise ends. Dealing with dispatch to try to track my mother's shipment and get any sort of delivery date or time, was the absolute worst nightmare ever! Every single time I called dispatch, I received a different story as to when the truck was due to arrive. Every time I called, they said they would find out and call me back. I never once got a call back. We were left guessing and waiting by the phone day after day after day. Finally, 12 days after pick-up, I called dispatch AGAIN and was told that her things were due to be delivered the next day and that dispatch would…

This company is close to the most unprofessional, unfriendly, disorganized, and questionable businesses I have ever communicated with when planning and coordinating. With regards to my long distance move, I was promised that I would be contacted when the van, which was coming from Ontario, was 24 hours out of Winnipeg, and would be contacted once again when it was 1 hour out of the city. I called their office twice prior to the 3 possible moving dates that were quoted to me of when they might be arriving, just to check on progress and confirm that the plan was still as described as above. The driver arrived on Saturday and said, "I'm here. When can you get here" As I live out of the city, I explained that I needed the 'before call' in order to be able to drive in to the city for the move. The person on the other end of the phone, who eventually told me he was the boss after I asked to speak to the boss, said I should be ready and was not dedicated to my move, along with some other ridiculous comments. Meanwhile the driver informed me by phone that he was taking a load out to Brandon and would be back the next morning. He continued moving west to Regina. The conversation with 'the boss' went back and forth about how what was promised and confirmed by this company was not being offered or followed through. After an argument and several choice words on his part, the deal was cancelled. When talking with "the boss", everything was anything but honest, professional, considerate, polite and helpful. I guess they didn't care if they lost the dollars on my move. Companies like this give professional movers a bad rap. Honestly folks, stay clear of Capital Moving and Transport. I will be following up with the Canadian Movers Association about this company today.

The worst customer Service Imaginable!

I have experience the worst customer service experience one could even try to imagine. I was lied to from the start by Kelly regarding my move order pick up days times. I asked for specific days and was assured these would be met since I was not at the location of the pick I had some doing that for me so I needed a specific days and times schedule or at least a two day window to change for he arrangements I had made. No follow up was able to be made. They do not contact you back. I cancelled my order 4 days prior due to no one replying back. I felt uncomfortable and did not trust this company anymore since they did not reply by telephone nor email. Trust was broken no one would get back to me. They picked up my move even after being told not to and I had cancelled by telephone and by email. I believed since I had telephone and emailed to cancel this was to be done! Big mistake quite the opposite. They went ahead and picked up anyways even after cancelling two days prior to when they picked being it was not the scheduled pick up from the order at all. So in actuality they were notified 4 days ahead of the booked pick up. When I finally spoke to a manger regarding picking up issue (two days prior to my pick up date and inconveniencing my person on the other end) I was treated so disrespectfully and rudely. I was shocked! The even after cancelling 4 days before actually booking order and picking up two days before actually booking appointment days I was contact via email by another company with not even a contract or any verification on who they are and they want me to e-transfer money when I do not even know who they are? Never mind that the quote on the order and pricing was no where close to the actual money they are trying to receive. When asking for a contacting the…

Horrible Customer Service!

At first this company seemed legit they were responsive and prompt on everything. After doing a price match I decided to give them my business, but I was not sure when my moving date was just yet. they insisted on a $100 deposit so that I could save 5%. After some thought I did it. After some time I was ready to move forward but I could not get a hold of them. This is what made me google the company, this was the moment I realized what a terrible mistake I have done. I wanted some confirmation with the company. I was still not convinced, I kindly asked for my deposit back since I did not commit to a moving date I did not think this would be a problem. Once I said I did not feel comfortable and wanted my money back they told me my deposit in non refundable and never heard anything back form them since. No explanation nothing. As this is only $100 I will not put up much more of a fight as it's not worth the added stress. But beware and do not make the same mistake I made. DO NOT GIVE A DEPOSIT.

I was provided with a pick-up window of about 4 days. Despite multiple phone calls to company no driver ever came for our belongings within the specified time-frame. Each time we phoned we were provided with conflicting excuses as to why the driver could not make it. Finally, they told us that we wouldn't be able to pick up our belongings for another two weeks. We had to go with a local more expensive moving company at the last minute and were very lucky to be accommodated. I would strongly advise against having any dealings whatsoever with this company.

I was looking for a moving company to bring my belongings from Thunder Bay, ON to London, ON and found Capital Moving Transport online. Unfortunately they were very vague about the terms of our agreement and maintained very little contact with me over a couple of weeks. Finally, I decided to contact them in order to ask a few questions and get some details for my move so that I could make plans. The agent I spoke to not only assured me that she would email me a copy of the contract that I would be signing, but also said that she would do so the following day. No response for 4 DAYS. She also would not give me a clear date of when the truck would arrive at my house giving me a suspicious range of three days (a range which was much sooner than I had intended to move, but had to reluctantly agree to seeing as I had already sent them a $100 deposit). Then I received a call from a driver asking me if I was ready to move tomorrow, 3 days before the earliest date they had given me. Fed up with the fact that I had been given no assurances that a truck would be at my house when they said it would, if it would cost what they quoted me, or if I was receiving a contract before the date of the move, I called their toll free 1-800 number and politely asked for my deposit back. In response, the agent began to come up with excuses as to why I was receiving conflicting information regarding my move. I was adamant in collecting my deposit as I no longer trusted Capital Moving Transport to handle my belongings. She threated to take me to court if I were to take any action to get my deposit back. This startled me and began to agitate me, by which time she decided to transfer me to the GM. The GM was just as unhelpful as the agent. He was very abrupt with me and clearly angered by my…

I found them online, finally booked for a pick up in Vancouver, BC. They have told me it would take approximately from 5-7 business days,( I was surprised on how fast the stuff will arrive to my destination, which is Toronto, Ontario). After one week of waiting, I decided to call them. All 7 numbers that they have provided me with were out of service, I have sent enough emails and the lady was not replying or if she was it would take her a week to do so. Finally 3 weeks later, someone called me back! They told me that my stuff would arrive to Toronto between Friday and Monday. Decided to call on Monday. I've talked to them for about 5 hours to find out if my stuff have been arrived, also what would be the final price, no one could answer me these questions. Where is the costumer service? Non existent. Then I finally got transferred to a manager/accountant (she was so rude and couldn't even get me a discount). I am so disappointed, this is not my first long distance move. Please people, save your money and go through another company!
