The guys I had to help move couldn’t have been better. My two bedroom apartment move wasn’t a huge one, but the destination I was moving to must have been one of the most frustrating moves for them- a main road, a tiny elevator that barely fit anything in it, and a maze of fire stairs to navigate to the third floor. Our two guys were efficient, very careful, and not to mention hilarious. They made sure to bring my attention to any existing scuffs or dents on my items and were super professional. Can’t believe how good the service was, I will definitely be recommending and using them again for our next move.

Had a wonderful experience with Carefree Moving! They moved us in 6 hours, were amazingly quick, and professional. I was impressed. These movers know what they're doing. I recommend them to your next move!

Move from Toronto to Fredericton NB.

Carefree Moving moved us from Toronto to Fredericton NB today and weren’t able to be more happy. They really did a great job for us! The beginning was very promising and positive when I saw the truck 30 min earlier (they’d been worry to come late because of the weather and came so early!). Guess during three Hrs or less they've loaded all my boxes (about 70!) and furniture. I must admit, some were very heavy because of the books. But the guys didn't complain at all. They just asked me to allow them to re-pack some of my boxes. So this part was great like all other. They helped me to load my big TV in my own car, my wife's plants (they advised us on how to pack them to not freeze poor things). In addition I had my old fashion piano. They charged me some extra but very fair and what we discussed before. In Frederiction we arrived on time, the unload seemed to me even faster than loading. Everything fine, nice and unbroken. So I am very happy with this movers.

I had a team of 3 lovely gentlemen arrive. Yes, they arrived late however, they did call to give me a heads up. I was perfectly fine with them being late as I was running late myself. The gentlemen's tetris packing skills are on point!! I was throughly impressed. Mattresses were bagged to be protected (which I had provided) and large pieces of furniture where plastic wrapped to protect it further and for their ease of removal and delivery. I had a large amount of boxes to load onto the truck. In the end they all were with room for extra! I will definitely be using this company again (should I move), and if possible, the same team. We chatted during the move and my family got to know them.

Boy, that was a taught day! Moving isn't easy but this company just did their best to make this day less stressful for me. I had hardwood floors and I was so worried that they will scratch the floor by mistake, but they didn't! They moved my furniture very careful through the narrow staircase without damaging the floor. So happy with them. Thanks, guys. You rock!

Worse Experience Ever Encountered.

THIS MOVE TOOK 3 DAYS TO COMPLETE. THE FIRST DAY THREE MOVERS SHOWED UP. THEY MOVE VERY SLOW AND REST FOR 10 MIN EVERY TRIP TO THE TRUCK. THEY DAMAGED MY EXPENSIVE DINING ROOM SET AT THE BACK OF THE TRUCK WHEN SOMETHING FELL ON IT. IT WASN'T COVERED WITH BLANKETS. WHY WASN'T THE FURNITURE TIED DOWN IN THE BACK SO IN TRANSIT THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN. THE SECOND DAY TWO MOVERS SHOWED UP BUT ONE WAS REALLY SICK SO THEY BOTH LEFT. THIRD DAY THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP TILL NOON. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT TOOK THAT LONG. THEY REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE ON MY FURNITURE. THEY DON'T HAVE ANY INSURANCE SO JUST WARNING YOU NOT TO USE THEM UNLESS YOU PURCHASE EXTRA INSURANCE YOURSELF. I HAD TO TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND AFTER ONE YEAR OF FIGHTING WITH THEM, THEY FINALLY REALIZED THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE A CASE AND PAID FOR MOST OF THE DAMAGE EXPENSE. THIS MOVE COST ME OVER 3,000.

This was a truly terrible experience. I moved over a year ago, but this still eats at me so I'm finally posting a review as a head's up for others. I suspect the quality of your move is largely dependent on who your actual movers are when they come. One of ours was brutally bad (I believe his name was Viktor), and the other followed his lead (I suspect he might have been okay had it not been for the bad influence). Took over 6 hours longer than the 3 they quoted us (and I had forewarned them I had a fair bit of stuff for a 1 bedroom), moved initial boxes etc into the centre of the room, strewn about, making it impossible to fit our furniture and the rest of the boxes, so they left them in the apartment hall. They broke many things, scratched others, lost screws and such for furniture, and lost two large framed prints (I suspect they broke them too badly so dumped them, since we didn't find them in the old apartment or truck). They moved at a snail's pace. We caught the bad mover playing on his phone when he thought we weren't around, the two of them moved very small, light items together, moved stackable chairs one at a time, etc. They also let my cat out of the washroom and the balcony door was open; we couldn't find him and they spent ages looking over the balcony railing trying to see if he'd jumped, even as I literally begged them to just keep moving my stuff and leave the looking to me - they completely ignored me, chatting and laughing with each other on the balcony. They were so slow that my boyfriend and I ended up moving a bunch of our stuff off the truck ourselves. They insisted I had to pay more for moving my treadmill despite my having checked with the company beforehand - they said that even though I had an elevator, it still counted as having to lift the…

This is the worst move I have ever had. I told them I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment and was moving to a 2 storey townhouse. I itemized all my contents including boxes as they requested. On the day of move, they sent a small truck and 2 men. They took 11.5 hours to load and offload the truck. Could not bring all my furniture. At the new location, they refused to take the furniture upstairs unless I paid them extra. Did not assemble the furniture nor unwrap them. Left all the boxes in the garage. Said they got a weird call from their boss who requested that I paid them in full before they completed the move. They lied because they wanted to just dump everthing and leave. Called the company and the person who answered said I lied about the size of my move. Said I told them it was a 2 bedroom when instead I had a 3 bedroom. This move has costed more than it should have. I had to pay 2 other people to move the boxes and assemble the furniture for me. They also damaged my furnitureI would never use them again or recommend them. IT WAS A MOVE FROM HELL.

Stay away from this company. The movers were very rude and refused to move boxes that they felt were too heavy, when I was able to lift it my self. They also spent 30 minutes getting there truck stuck in the snow. Finally the last negative experience was the tipping part. The mover was very aggressive and making fun of me for tipping low and compare my tip to restaurant tips policy being better. Also he mentioned that a 15% tip will be added next time I book with them. If there ever will be a next time. I do not recommend them for your moves. Really bad service and they make the experience very stressful.

Horrible Moving Experience with CAREFREE MOVING.

Save yourself time and money by NOT using this moving company. I had two large men show up to my home who moved bins one at a time - two men for every one bin carried! They claimed the boxes were packed too heavily but as a 30 year old female weighing 120 pounds I was quite capable of moving the bins myself. SLOW SERVICE is an under statement carrying items one at a time in stead of taking a handful. At one point I also got the feeling one of the guys was trying to take my TV that he thought was broken/unusable. Not only were they slow, unprofessional, and did not take off their shoes or placed runners to avoid getting dirt everywhere (it was raining that day so you could only imagine the mess left) but they REFUSE to accept responsibility for a couch that was damaged during the move. They are claiming I caused the damage although I was able to provide proof in the form of a picture of the couch taken a month prior in excellent condition. They were informed of the damage the same day to which it took them two weeks of back and forth communications for them to come out eventually and say that I (the customer) am lying. To date they also have not sent an invoice for the service provided however they were quick to charge my credit card the same day of service. This company does not understand the value of the customer nor their property. This company also does not seem to care that moving can be a frustrating as it is, and then to add to that an unprofessional team of employees that could care less about your belongings or home. I also enjoyed (sarcasm) watching one of the movers drag a metal picture across a glass top table. Towards the end (and almost at my wits ends) I put on my shoes and started taking my belongings out of their truck MYSELF to speed things along. I…
