Form the moment of my first phone call, Hollie took the time to answer my all of my questions. After finding so many positive reviews, I called back and scheduled my move. All of our belongings were in storage and only moving a few miles down the road. The two guys took excellent care of our couches and beds. We only needed the large items transported but next time we will sit back and relax. Thank you Element! You guys all are rock stars! You will be referred many times!

These guys helped me a lot. I'm a single mom and the kids were driving me crazy during the move. The movers were on time and courteous. They got me from Florida to Pennsylvania in a hurry. They also did not get lost along the way, unlike some people!!

The total cost of this move of 145 miles was over $4200 and occurred Sept. 2014. Three trucks and 6 men. We had multiple pieces of good furniture that was damaged by improper wrapping and quickness to finish the job. It all started with the movers showing up with 4 people instead of the 6 people promised. This caused them to work late into the evening and they just got sloppy in their handling. A table pedestal came loose because they failed to unbolt it. They dropped a Curio cabinet and damaged the crown moulding, etc. They damaged a leg of a sofa and other items. I submitted photos and weights of the items damaged and my contact at Joy Moving sent me a letter to sign and return for payment of the $504.00 based on weights of the items since I had not purchased extra insurance. They continued to delay payment and eventually my contact at Joy Moving left the company, reasons unknown to me. Then they turned over the claim to a third party, movingclaims.net to handle. I submitted all of the paperwork again, mailed it to Miami, FL. After 3 more months, I am offered $72.00 settlement. I turned it down and ask for another higher review. Now I am offered a sum of $102.00 to settle and never say anything against Joy Moving. What would happened if this company destroyed furniture? Offer you $100.00? Why would anyone use this type of company when there Good Moving companies out there. Please do your homework. Check BBB, unfortunately I did not and I have suffered. It is not about the money, it is about a company not keeping their committment to the contract.

Terrible Company.

Joy moving & storage damaged my Bed headboard, and Mattress. Also, was charged extra because Movers got lost twice. joy moving & storage company contacted me, and explained the process. I was told that the movers will come from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. They did not show up until 2:40pm. Then, it took them almost two hours to unload from the old apartments. The movers took forever to find our new place, and got lost. I started to panic, and called them to see what was up because after my already paid 2.5 hours $135, they were going to charge $22 per 15 minutes after that. Are you kidding me? Once the Movers got to the new place, they took their sweet time to start moving the stuff to the second floor. One of the Movers guy told me that It was going to be an additional 30 minutes. Well, they took waaay longer than that. We had to pay them an additional $132. Here is the shocker. They dragged my $600 mattress from their dirty truck. The mattress was full of splinters (from their previous move I guess because both of the apts only have grass) and I can't get them out. They damaged my Bed headboard. Chunks of the paint and wood was scratched. They pushed the washer to hard that banged and broke the bottom laundry shelve. I am furious. Called them multiple times, and they never took responsibility to my damages. Beware. .

Movers didn't take into consideration boxes labeled fragile. I even told them several times to watch out for boxes labeled fragile. They just piled the boxes on top of each other. They also tore the bottom of our sofa, not too bad about the size of a quarter, but still tore it. They would have torn the back moving it into the new place had I not pushed the sofa off the brick edge and yelled STOP! Back to the boxes. When they were unloading the boxes into the new place (garage) I still reminded them of the fragile labels. It was like I was talking to the ground. We ended up with many broken glassware, pottery, and a few others. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

The movers were inexperienced and untrained, therefore taking longer than necessary and damaging items that should have been wrapped and padded. They tried to force large appliances through smaller doors more convenient to them rather than taking a few-feet longer path through larger openings, resulting in damage to appliances and walls. The most disappointing part was the office after the move was completed. They are completely unresponsive and I have yet to collect on an insurance claim for a move that took place 4 months ago. They ignore contacts and lied to BBB when I reported them.

The crew was older, slower, and took a 10-15 minute cig break every hour. I purchased 2 large pizza's and they never said thank you. I ended up having multiple people (friends/family) come and help unload the truck. it took us 45 minutes to do 3/4 of the truck. Keep in mind its a 3bd/2bath house. It took the crew 2.5 hours to unload : 2 couches, one bed, and a washer and dryer. I was overall pleased since I got a $250 credit towards this move as a package deal with my new lease. But they broke 2 dressers and caused severe damage to the apartment I was leaving from. The total damage I incurred, was over $400. The office staff was quick to help with the refund process. But valued my damge @ $230 and then agreed to send $115. That document was dated 9/15/14. It is now 3/27/15 and I still do not have a refund. The direct phone numbers I have are no longer in service. They will not return emails or any messages. I don't know the exact additional costs that I had to pay for the extra hours. it was between 200-400, so I wrote 300 to be fair. 0.

I used this company and I told the movers I can move my 60 inch TV myself. I was told that's what I paid them for relax they could handle it, but when the TV got to my new home it was cracked all up. I put in my claim for the damages and the General Manager offered me 60.00 dollars for a 700.00. Please beware and do NOT use this company. I work hard for everything and for this company to rob me of my hard earn items is nit fare. God will deal with them in the end. .

Damaged 2 pieces of furniture and our wall. Took 2 months for them to ack damage and was told payment would be given that week, still no payment. I choose this company because the quote I was given over the phone was "$149 and hour for 5 men and $79 travel charge". Then somehow the travel charge went up and when I advised I was quoted a lower travel charge initially the response I got was "ok we'll lower it to $79 will that make you happy?". That response and misquote I was given should have been my first clue to choose another moving company. We had to push back our move one day and when our movers came the next day they were late and on top of that we only got 3 men not the 5 we got quoted. We moved most of all the big boxes ourselves the day before the movers came, but it still took almost all day for them to move the furniture. Because of this delay we had to cancel dinner plans that we had that same day. Everything was wrapped with ONE flimsy looking blanket. We ended up with 2 pieces of damaged furniture and a banged up wall. Pictures were taken onsite by the movers, but apparently never given to their office since I had to re-take pictures myself and send them to them. Then I had to e-mail and call multiple times over 2 months just to get a response. When I sent back the settlement response on 7/11/14 I was told that payment would be issued that same week. Now every time I call or e-mail to get a response I'm told they are waiting to hear back from another "department". I'm not sure how they are conducting their business, but I really doubt it takes over one month to get approval for a $280.00 payment. I really think our damages are over $280.00 but we agreed on that price because we are really tired of dealing with this company. In hindsight I should have done…
