I have used a removal comoany before who were charging me per hour rate and I ended up paying a lot more than what was quoted. But this time I chose full service with Otex Removals. I was worried because of my last experience but luckily my decision was right. Otex charged me the same amount what the surveyor had qouted at tge time of survey. I want to thank to otex they helped me to makemy move so smooth. Guys packed all my items properly and vehicle was big enough to move all items in one trip.I am pleased to recommend Otex as a professional removals.

We used this company for our move over a year ago but there is not a single day gone pass when I not think that it is our so bad luck that we used this company. We relied on them and used the complete package of packing and moving. Because we were living in our old address for 17 years and because we are old couple , over the years we collected lot of things. One of my very precious collection was old coins, 1st day covers, 2012 Olympic coins and stamps etc etc. Also I always liked costume jewellery I had lot of that from various places I visited over the years. Because we had so many boxes to open once we moved and because we are in our 70s ,and also we moved to a smaller place we were taking it easy to open the boxes. Finally after 2-3 months when we were coming to an end to emptied the boxes then only we realized they have very cleverly taken my collection of coins etc , which I put in a case and my jewellery , which they packed and took. My collection were really priceless and I think their team of people are not to be relied upon. They can steal things because they know eople will not open their boxes straight away to check if everything is there. So be aware do not use this company.

Moving out day was in January 2018. This was ok, everything just about fitted on the van, no complaints. Our furniture went into storage for four months. We finally moved into our new house in April 2018. Our drill and tool box were missing and parts of the framework of our bed. Our wardrobe was damaged and there were footprints all over the covers of our dining room chairs. The lock on our filing cabinet was broken off. It looked like it had been broken in to. It also had a large dent in the top of it. We have called Otex, and emailed them constantly but they don't respond and won't except responsibility. We had to buy a new bed, tools etc. Do not choose this company to move house under any circumstances.

Do not use this company - it’s a con.

! If I could put zero stars I would. This is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. The truck was not what we expected and too small for all our goods. Basically they loaded the first load and then refused to do a second load or offload our stuff until we paid them more money. They asked us for cash to the driver which I refused. So basically they were holding our furniture in their van until we paid them. We ended up paying them to get our furniture back, which they had to move 2.5 miles down the road. When they offloaded our stuff they didn’t care and a lot of our furniture ended up broken or damaged. This company should not be allowed to trade.

Stole my price possesion.

I moved house in 2016 and hired Otex International co. for packing and removal , I mean the full service. But I now regret every single day why we hired them and their services. As we were moving from a 4 bedroom house to a smaller bunglow we had nearly 200 cardboard boxes apart from few loose items , like electrical items, bed room items and garden items. We were in our 70s so we realised it will take us ages to open these boxes , which were stacked in our garage and two garden shades. and also some were kept in storage. After 6 months we more or less emptied all the boxes. However by this time we realised our very favourite Russian tea set was broken and two of our other very price possesions 1st our 40 years collection of coins, stamps, first day covers , which we packed ourselves ( bcos of its value and rarity ) but left for them to bring along with others , And also 2nd was costume jewelleries ., some of very costly one are missing. As we took long to unpacked we were not aware these items are missing until after 6-8 months. We called them but they will simply not co-operate and help. They completely denied their responsibility. I called police and reported but Police will not take action bcos it was late. For last two years there is not a single day gone when I do not think of my loss. The costume jewelleries can be replaced but the coin, stamp, 1st day covers are unreplaceble. We know one of the packer must have felt the suitcase I put all the coins etc. is heavy, looked inside without us watching them, did take it. Also with the costume jewelleries , they realised some of them are expensive , so very discreetly put those aside as well. I still wake up in night and think why did we hire this company ? we feel like telling people please do not ever hire this…

Wet and Scratched items.

Otex moved our house contents badly loaded on arrival at new house some of the good were wet and certain items were scratched. driver did not care when it was pointed out just said phone office. I have sent three emails containing photos and made many phone calls. even asked to speak to the manager but not one call or email from them. will not recommend them.

These are not a tall professional mover but more of a Man with van rather van drivers group. So charges are very expansive. Totally unprofessional attitude and lazy to make more hours to get more money. They seems nice when I booked but totally unsupportive once got job and tried to get more n more. Didnt even arrive with enough and adequate packing material. Very dishonest. Please don't book or use them.

Poor company, poor service, broken belongings.

Otex didn't send enough people to move a big sideboard and it took 3 goes and some weeks before it eventually got here. The packing was very poor and during the move 6 items of a Rosenthal china service were broken. I send a picture immediately and have claimed £105 replacement cost although I know I am very unlikely to to be able to replace them. The reaction is very negative and I am told that I, not they, am responsible for the first £250 excess on the insurance. Do not use Otex.

I have used this company twice. The first time we had a good service and we moved much further which is why we decided to use them again. The second time we moved 1.2 miles away. They arrived with a van that was totally inadequate and much too small for the inventory. They proceeded to load the first load (didnt even load all of the inventory) and sat outside the house for hours whilst extorting money from us. We were sitting with a house half full of furniture. They refused to offload our goods and refused to move our goods unless we transferred additional £250 into their account. I don't know how this company is still in business but they should be shut down. I plan to open a case with Trading standards.
