Mover reviews in Austin

On the ground

Austin heat cooks a packed truck. Crews who leave a leather sofa against an unshaded wall at 2pm will hear about it. Many 2-beds here are walk-up bungalows in Hyde Park or Travis Heights with a 40-foot truck that cannot make the last turn, so the last 30 feet becomes a long carry. Apartment buildings on Rainey and in the Domain ask for a certificate of insurance and an elevator reservation. Summer Saturday at month-end is the expensive slot. If you can move Tuesday in February, the local band drops. Interstate out of Austin toward Denver, Chicago, or the coasts picks up fuel and a possible shuttle when the destination street is tight. Texas also licenses household-goods carriers at the state level. An interstate mover still needs FMCSA authority. Ask for both numbers before anyone takes a deposit.

Downtown and Domain high-rises want a COI 48–72 hours ahead and a padded service elevator. I-35 lane closures turn a 9am load into waiting time you pay for.
