   Move from Birmingham UK, to France.

   Saint Georges European were commissioned by Pearson Home Moving to undertake my home move from Birmingham to the South of France, March 2018. Saint Georges European turned up on the 17th March and completed the job without any problems. We had packed up our things ourselves and it took up to about 5 hours on the day for the two men to take our things away, which allowed me and my partner time to continue packing the final things before they left. They had to move an 8 foot sofa and upright piano which they did without any problems. This we obviously did not have to pack, and they simply wrapped it in blankets in their lorry. Nothing was too big for them to take away, and we add ample space to put more things in the lorry than we had anticipated (Pearson had done the survey on how much space we needed, which Saint Georges European provided without issue). They were friendly with a good sense of humour. They did not get frustrated with me when I kept adding things on at the end for them to take (although personally I'd be screaming inside). A different pair of men from the same company delivered my things in France. The man who contacted us first let us know he was in the town but that he might be delayed due to French laws that do not allow articulated lorries through French towns. In the end it became dark and there was a delay on his side in getting the shuttle van on time to transport our things from just outside the town. He said they would deliver 8:30 am the next morning which they did, promptly, after giving me a courtesy call. It took up to 3 hours for him and his colleague to place the furniture, which was placed exactly where I wanted. They were professional, courteous and one in particular was very funny. They were confident that all of our things had been delivered to us, and they were right. Nothing was damaged in the move. I felt that overall the company were highly professional and competent and I would highly recommend them. (The price below was quoted by Pearson and included their arrangements as well as the collection and deliveries themselves. The quoted £2054 included a basic damage and lost item insurance insured at £40 per item. I paid around £200 on top of this to fully insure some of my more expensive items, not that I had to claim back in the end).
