Is Haulest a mover?
No. We are a research desk and a quote line. We do not operate trucks.
What is the 110% rule?
On a US interstate COD non-binding estimate, 49 CFR 375.407 says they must hand over the shipment if you pay up to 110% plus agreed extras. It is not a cap on the whole job. See the US interstate trust page.
Do I need a USDOT for a same-city job?
Interstate household goods need FMCSA. Many same-state jobs need a state HHG number instead. Check both if the truck might cross a line.
Can they hold the load for more money?
On a qualifying interstate non-binding COD job, refusal after you offer 110% is a reasonable-dispatch failure. Photograph, write, complain through Protect Your Move.
Where do I look up a mover?
SAFER for the USDOT. Our lookup hits the official census when it is up.
Do you publish ranked US movers?
No. We will not invent a 5-star strip. Dump stars sit on a mover card only.
