I moved within Halifax city limit (about 12 mins drive between the two apartment buildings) on April 10th at 9am. The rate was $150 flat rate. After the movers took their time (eg. answering phone calls during moving) putting everything on the truck, the sales person/manager called me and told me to pay by hours. In other word, they decided to charge me extra 75 dollars half way through the moving. I should stick to the agreement, but I just wanted to get it over with, so I agreed to pay $160 instead if the movers move my furniture to my room and I'll move the boxes by myself (shouldn't have done it since I did some blood work in the hospital the day before and was told not to use my arms). After I gave one of the movers cash, the movers ran off with almost everything left in the lobby. One mover damaged my desk, one of the most expensive pieces of furniture I own. I called Wayne Bear but Wayne yelled at me and told me not to play games with him. Moving Responder is a con artist. Rather throw your money into the river than give to these thieves. .
