    Charges for unused services

We ordered a large pod we were told to pay 516.70 Dec 6th 2022 we did on January 2nd I reached out by email asking them to come get their pod no reply January 6th they tried withdrawal 269.70 from my bank which my bank blocked payment request. I talked with 2 different reps on January 7th 2023 1st one hung up on me when I said I'm not paying more money for a container I just paid 516 on then another agent got on threaten me if I didn't pay they take our stuff so I again told them come get your pod she continued to be rude and demanding payment for more money for something we didn't even use, the city we are moving to needs permits for this container so we request them to come get it and this is how they want to do business by threatening you if you don't give them more money well wrong person to threaten they will never get additional money from us that is a guarantee, and I reached out to the better business bureau and filed a complaint against them with detailed information of what we paid and emails request them to pick up their container along with the 2 agents conversation with me including them threaten me. If anything they owe us a refund I could have been as ignorant as them and said if you want to threaten me with taking our stuff you will never see that container again, but I didn't I'll use my attorneys if need be but the better business bureau is aware of this and now as well as the attorney General. You don't treat Customers this way and threatening me was their 1st mistake, don't use this company for anything you be better off using someone else,

    Do NOT use PODS!

It's been 16 days and still our POD has NOT been delivered, yet, payment in full was received BEFORE scheduling our delivery. Every day we call and are given a different story of why or where our POD is. We are in TX. We were told it was in San Antonio and this is where the original delivery would originate from (2.5 hours from our new home). When that delivery day came and went with no delivery of our POD, we called were told they were "trying to locate our POD." A few days later, we were informed it was located - in Pittsburgh, PA! Finally, we were told it would be delivered last night. This morning, NOTHING. We called, again and were told they could not "find our street." There was no phone call from the driver. We were then asked by PODS customer service to send us a "Pin Drop" in an email to them. A simple Google search of our address would have given both their driver and customer service the exact location. We then sent the email, called PODS Customer Service and told "it takes about an hour for emails to come through" so they STILL could not confirm if there would be a delivery. We were also told we would get a credit, but that has also been MIA...maybe it's with our POD.

Response from PODS Moving and Storage

Hi, Peggy. We have been in contact with you regarding these concerns. As we shared, our team is looking into your concerns further and will reach out to discuss. Thank you for your continued patience.

    Horrible experience

Do yourself a favor and heed all of the terrible reviews that you see. I thought it would be great to have a container delivered to my doorstep to pack at my leisure and have it driven across the country and I can unpack. I can't even get my stuff delivered now! So far I've been on the phone for hours trying to get this resolved. I have two containers, I called to schedule delivery from Washington to Texas everything was set up it seemed. I needed to pay $5851 for the move. They tried charging my card and it got declined, come to find out I have a $3,000 limit as they kept trying to charge different amounts until it finally went through for $3,000. I got an email at around 4 am saying that they were unable to charge my card and I needed to call them. I called customer service and spoke to a man who told me that I was still scheduled and that they'd auto charge me the next day for the balance. He confirmed the remainder due was $2851. This was on Nov 15. We had Thanksgiving and I went to log into PODS to make sure everything was moving as it should be and I couldn't even log in! It said my account was locked and I needed to call PODs. I called them, they said my account was in collections, after two transfers and 40 minutes, collections unlocked my account and told me that I didn't have a balance due but that I needed to contact customer service to have my containers scheduled for delivery. They'd removed everything from my account entirely. After waiting 20+ minutes for a supervisor I was told I'd receive a call back from a supervisor (still has yet to happen) but that they needed to schedule my containers for delivery, couldn't keep the original delivery dates and I needed to call collections back to pay the balance otherwise their system would try to charge me the full amount and not recognize the $3,000 that has already been paid. So I'm still waiting on my containers, still waiting to speak to a supervisor all for something THEIR REPRESENTATIVE told me would be a non issue.

    Terrible Company

This company loves to tell you they will do things, and do the exact opposite !! First, I was told I would not be charged an amount of $295. Then I'm told I have to make that payment of $295 for them to pick up the POD.. After making the payment, they said I would be refunded in 7-10 business days. THAT WAS SEPT 3RD I DO BELIEVE. A MONTH LATER, I STILL DON'T HAVE MY MONEY !!!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I will never be using this company again, will tell everyone I know that this company is nothing but a bunch of liars, and thieves. Trying to take a couple hundred here, and there.. Hoping the customer won't notice they're being charged extra. Well, I work in Car Sales, and hate to break it to ya... I'm pretty good at working, and looking in the gray. And you're not getting over on me. So I'd greatly appreciate my refund, as I was told was already approved, WEEKS AGO.

    Lied to by customer service

After being notified that Pods would not deliver to the location I was moving to - even though they had already delivered a Pod to my house and arranged to pick it up since they originally said they would deliver it there, they are now refusing to refund the pick up fee they charged me - when they had already stated they would refund that fee. Now I can’t even get customer service to return emails- which they promised to respond to within 48-72 hours. One lie after another

Lie about fees and refuse to keep their word

We are receiving phone calls and emails from PODS about trying to collect an outstanding balance for service rendered. We have paid up-to-date the monthly fees we agreed to when we started their services. We were told there is only a monthly fee for the PODS and that would include pick-up and delivery. PODS charge out bank almost $800 extra than what was quoted. We were told the charges would be reversed and we would owe nothing since we were unaware of the additional service charges to get our stuff back their storage location. A few days later PODS charged 3 different amount that totaled more than the first charges we disputed. We disputed those charges with our bank and about 12 days later our bank reimbursed the charges. Now, about a month later, we are getting phone calls and emails demanding payment with threat to send to collections if not paid immediately. We were told the last time we talked to PODS customer service that we would not be charged and the fees would be reverse, but we are being harassed by them for fees they should have not charged to begin with. Stay clear of these lying scammers.

    Miserable Experience

They cancelled dropping off all of our stuff without contacting us at all. After calling every day for nearly a week, they finally agreed to deliver it on the last possible day that we needed our stuff by, which was more than two weeks after it was scheduled to be delivered. Then they didn’t pick up the empty pod filling our driveway for over two weeks. We filed an incident report to request compensation for them not fulfilling their end of the bargain. Have called six or seven times over the course of more than a month to ask about the status of that incident report. Every time we’ve been told that someone will contact us in a few days. We have yet to receive any communication from them.

Response from PODS Moving and Storage

This certainly isn't how we want you to feel, Bridgette. We'd be more than happy to check in with our team and get an update on their review of your account. Can you please email socialmedia@pods.com with your customer ID?

PODS - MOST PATHETIC SERVICE AND COMPLETELY FRAUD COMPANY

PODS - MOST PATHETIC SERVICE and COMPLETELY FRAUD COMPANY This is my First experience with PODS and they have made it my last experience with PODS. My PODS 16 foot container was picked up from source on June 30 and supposed to be re-delivered at destination on July 14 and I never got my container re-delivered. This is a long distance 1000 miles move with where move cost is close to 4k USD. I will explain my feedback on different factors below for their CORRUPT and FRAUD service. Delivery Schedule – They had provided maximum promised date Timing of July 14 (for re-delivery at destination) when I made my booking. On July 12, I received email that says make some space for your container and driver will message you for exact time schedule for re-delivery on July 14. Based on their email, I booked moving helpers that would unload the container. Now on July 13 afternoon, I get an email that my delivery date has been changed to July 19. Now when I call customer service team, they are not able to provide any surety that it will be re-delivered on July 19. So on the very last moment they shifted my delivery date by 5 days and screwed up all my plans causing a lot of inconvenience and hardship for me and my family. Also wasted money in cancelling helping team for unload and all other plans I had scheduled. PODS is not able to keep track of delivery schedule until the last moment and make your life completely uncertain. Cost – When I booked PODS, I was getting lots of cheaper options to move my stuff but I went with PODS with higher quote assuming they would be on time and keep my stuff safe. All that never happened and instead I have been facing extreme inconvenience now since they are not ready to deliver my container. All the extra money I put for booking PODS is wasted now. This is the MOST PATHETIC company I have ever seen. Customer Service – ZERO customer service. You can call them, chat with them but no one will help you for anything. The complete customer service team is so insensitive since they have no answers and no resolutions for your complaints. I have been calling PODS every day since July 13 wasting atleast 1 hour daily on call with them explaining everything again from ground zero and no one would help for anything. They always mention that a Specialist is assigned to your case and they will call back and no one over calls me back. Called them on July 13, they mentioned someone would call me in 24 hours – No one called me back. Called them on July 14, now they mention someone would call me in 48 hours – No one called me back. Called them again on July 15, now they say someone would call me within 1 week. This kind of Customer Service is completely ridiculous and very frustrating. Tracking – So when I call customer service team, they do not have any whereabouts of where my container is exactly. Every time they would simple mention that it is in transit or they would mention that it is between source and destination. This feels like going back to stone age when you are not even able to track your own containers. The most funny part is when the guy who delivered the container initially at source very confidently said that “ You know you can do real time tracking of your container and just call the customer service”. Their own guys are providing false-information about tracking which do not even exists. I am afraid that they have lost my container since they have no answer where my container is located currently. Payments – They deducted final payment from my credit card on July 14 and then I had to call and chase them to revert my final payment since they were not delivering on July 14. Overall, they keep charging your card without your consent once they have your credit card information. You have to fight back a lot for incorrect payments that they keep on putting on your credit card. Long story short – This is the MOST PATHETIC and CORRUPT company you will ever come across. People working there are INSENSITIVE and would never help you once they have taken your money. Do not trust them for your valuables and for moving. PODS is FRAUD and is a complete nightmare !!!

If I could put zero stars I would.

I am writing to let you know that I will NEVER use your service again. The first time I used it I was completely satisfied...that was why I chose your company a second time. Unfortunately my second experience was much worse. My container was dropped, HARD, so much so that many items were smashed! I filed a claim as instructed thinking your reputation would carry over. It did not! I was informed that thousands of dollars of smashed damage was caused by ill packing! What a joke. I am a tetris packing queen. I watched all the videos and packed it perfectly! I know it was dropped on the left side because the feet were missing and the delivery guy had to replace them. I used this company again to guard my belongs that are now ruined! Shame on you for this. I will tell anyone who will listen to NOT use PODS! I am disgusted by you.

Response from PODS Moving and Storage

Hi, Pat. Unfortunately, we can’t control the insurance company's policies, and we can’t negotiate with them in regards to what claims are approved or denied. We suggest reaching back out to your point of contact at UNIRISC and asking them to reopen/re-investigate your claim. You can do this by replying to the last email received or by giving them a call at (407) 228-2026.

USE PODS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

DO NOT USE PODS. 6/24/2022. I found their customer service horrible. I was quoted a price and that wasn't even close to what they actually charged! After they had my stuff, they suddenly didn't deliver to the new zip code. They were supposed to deliver 6/8/22. It took three calls to get them to follow through on their promise to make an exception (even though it was their error). Multiple more calls and chats to get delivery. Then they didn't show up when they said they would to drop it off. One of my containers didn't get delivered until weeks later. They didn't pick up the pod when they said they would. Then I got a text that they were coming and they didn't show up. I had to use the chat to get a pickup scheduled many days after they were supposed to show up (even though that was much later than they said they would). AND ALL OF THIS CHARGING ME MORE FEES FOR RENTING THE POD BECAUSE WE WERE KEEPING IT LONGER THAN EXPECTED WHEN THEY WOULDN'T SHOW UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. Using a GPS tracker in the pod didn't help because they would say it was in one city or en route but that just wasn't true. Oh, and they leaked oil all over our new house's driveway. What's less than 0/5 stars? If you use them after reading this and get screwed over too then that's on you. Update 6/24: Trying to use the customer service team that responded below some reviews. Update 6/25: The pod is still in my driveway. I was assured they would be coming to pick up the empty container on Saturday between 8:30 and 11:30 am. Guess what? They didn't show. So I called customer service and told them I was upset at having to pay for more rental time when it wasn't my fault they didn't show up. I told them the entire story, was refunded part of the rental fee, tried to reschedule (again x4) and was disconnected. Instead of getting a call back, I had to call and tell the whole story all over to someone else. They offered $30 for my "inconvenience" and was told the day wasn't over and they still might show up or today (Monday) at the very least. Well, they still haven't showed up or even called today. I think they have just decided to abandon their property on my driveway. Update 6/27: They didn't call or show up again. I had to call again this morning to schedule for tomorrow. Corporate has contacted me about the stains in my driveway. Update 6/29: They didn't call or show up again. I had to call this afternoon to reschedule AGAIN. As usual, the customer service agent can't see what has been delivered or all the times it was scheduled for pickup. Next appointment is in 8 days. I complained and suddenly there is an appointment to have it picked up in 2 days. Customer service assures me it will be picked up this time. If you need to get ahold of me and don't know what I look like, I'll be the one not holding my breath. Update 7/1: Never got an email last night about the pickup scheduled for today. I didn't get a text message confirmation this morning. I didn't get a phone call confirming the time. You are supposed to get all of these. I received none of them. But who cares?!? The cursed pod evaporated like a fart in the wind. How did this miracle happen? As the ancient philosopher Vince Neil opined, "Girl, don't go away mad. Girl, just go away." Update 7/6: Turns out there was something to worry about with the POD retrieval. They dumped more oil/hydraulic fluid on our driveway when they picked it up. I notified the corporate office, but I still haven't heard back. I've given up hope that this will ever be made right. I thought it was just a local PODS office that had awful customer service. I might be wrong, but it doesn't look like it. I will never use PODS again and neither should you. Spread the word.
