Huge help.
After recently beating this coronavirus I started to look at life from a new perspective. There was no more time for the hustle and bustle it was time to appreciate life and take a step back. Fortunately I was in a position to do so I decided to retire and move across country. There was only one problem I had no idea how to get that done. The first thing I did was go onto the Internet and research some moving companies I came across accurate express movers and decided to give them a call. I was impressed from the first phone call from how much knowledge they had about this industry in the best ways to save me money. I didn’t have a lot of money to work with but I had somewhat of a budget and the final price I was given fell within it. Explain to me in great detail you should every step of the move and have it would be worked out. They stay true to their word and didn’t charge me an extra dollar. The furniture showed up in pristine condition and there was no garbage left behind. They made my life incredibly easy in the least I can do with show my appreciation on a website like this.

Nice people.
Accurate express movers was the mover we hoped to find. .The way they handle their customers and speak to people yes with respect honesty and Complete professionalism. I’ve never used a moving company before so I had no idea what to expect or how the process even worked. They were happy to work with me through all my questions and all my concerns and overtime we developed a nice relationship. They were able to ship our vehicles as well as our household goods which was an added bonus. Finding an honest moving company is like finding a good mechanic and if there’s one thing I took away from this whole situation is that this is my reliable mechanic. They are highly reputable and review speak for themselves we would be happy to do business with them again.

Real Deal.
Just wanted to extend a huge thank you to the entire staff at accurate express movers. You’re the most detailed company that we spoke to and never cut a single corner. Our main concern was that her items were arrive safely in the same condition that they were in without being infected by the outbreak. We spoke with everyone within the company and we’re assured that they filed all the states guidelines as they traveled about the country. The last thing they need is a company is for an employee to get sick so they take the same exact measures. They were the first company to respond to our request so naturally we spent the most amount of time with them. The tedious process there any end saved us more than a few hundred dollars. We wanted to find a location that we can retire early and have a bunch of land and just so happened that I fell into our lap. We ended up finalizing with them on the first phone call to lock in a date as well as our rates. Is the busiest time of year which means the most expensive time of year so it’s important to do yourself a favor and reserve early and adjust later. Thank you thank you thank you you have no idea what this relocation has meant to us stay safe and stay strong.

Greatness.
I am not somebody who believes in coincidences. I am also somebody who has never used a long distance moving company before. We came across this company while going to research a different one and called them basically by accident. At this point we had already gotten a few quotes and were relatively happy with what we had. We decided to get an estimate from them as well because why not. We learned so much from one phone call that I feel the other movers left our intentionally just to charge us later to present as the cheaper company. They worked off of our same list we had and they fine tuned it. Most of the things the other companies were charging for they gave us for free as well as explaining in great detail what to expect. They gave us a se our discount and made us change our mind after seeing their bottom line. Sometimes the best things just make their way to you and the move went perfect. Thank you for helping us the way you did.

Horrible Experience
Horrible experience, definitely do not use this company! I got three quotes for our move from Chicago to Denver, they ranged from $12,000 - $15,000 but with similar services offered, so I chose this one. Our shipment was going to have to stay in storage for a few months, and this is where I made my big mistake. I didn't know until just a few days before our move that this company is un-insurable by a 3rd party moving insurance company, even though Accurate Express states customers should obtain private move insurance on their own contract documents. At that point it was too late to change vendors, and now I am paying the price. It took three weeks after we moved into our new house for the shipment to arrive. The wait was exhausting, and a number of items were damaged in the move and without insurance the claim is valued only at pennies by the item weight, so essentially nothing. But the worst part was the missing items. In less than an hour after the driver left, I called him and the company in a panic because an important family heirloom was missing. He said it wasn't in the truck, and the company has done absolutely nothing to find it. The company contracts with a truck driver who is responsible for getting his own day laborers to work the job on the day of, and I am 100% convinced that this item was stolen by them, either when packing or unloading. It is also important to note that we received items that do not belong to us, they are from someone else's move, and the company has done nothing to try to reunite that customer with their items, which I still have. Lesson learned: pay the extra $3000-$5000 to work with a big name moving company that can be insured by a 3rd party moving insurance policy. Hopefully with all these bad reviews, Accurate Express will go out of business, and I hope that the people who work there will learn to treat customers the way they want to be treated, and that scamming people and stealing from people is immoral.

Not accurate, not express, terrible to work with
Overview: This company does not deliver your items in a timely manner, they break a number of items, and their costs skyrocket to almost double on the day of the move. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Cost & Estimate: We detailed out every little item in our household and included it in the preliminary inventory. When they called the week before the move, they increased the estimate from $5k to $7k based on all of the items we provided. On the day of the move, with the items all packed in the truck, we were informed that our cost was increased again to $10k. At this point, Accurate Express was not competitive with the other companies, and if we had known they would drive up the cost on the day of the move, we would have picked another company. The move: They moved everything into the truck and loaded it well. They packed the items that needed to be packed. Then they left and said "the office will tell you when we're delivering." The wait: We called every day and they HAD NO IDEA where our items each day. They also had no estimate for when they would be delivered. The delivery: They called the night before and said they'd be driving our items from LA to Las Vegas. When they showed up, isntead of a full crew like the one that loaded, this one included the pre-teen kid of one of the movers and less adult movers. They wanted to get back to LA before dinner, and so they rushed to get done. They didn't unwrap many things, and they broke a number of items. DO NOT SHIP THE FOLLOWING THINGS WITH ACCURATE EXPRESS MOVERS BECAUSE THEY WILL BREAK THEM: * Desktop computers, servers, or any large electronic equipment. Our large tower desktop computer which they packed and wrapped, arrived in a hundred million pieces and does not work. All the data and investment in the computer is lost. * Large fragile items. We shipped a large vase and stand. They arrived broken. * Anything fragile really. Lots of broken glass, cups, plates, etc. * Other things broken include a wooden table, an antique nightstand, and a custom-made wooden desk. All were damaged beyond repair, but I expect we won't see any $$ in reimbursement, which leads me to... The claims: We compiled photos and documentation of all of the broken items. We submitted them to their email address as instructed. ONE MONTH LATER, we were told we need to resubmit everything to their outsourced claims company. The outsourced claims company is sending us through paperwork hell, using little discrepancies to hold up the process and not pay out a claim. After 9 months, your claim is no longer valid, so I assume they're just wasting my time to prevent paying out any money. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Neither Accurate, Nor Express.
I can't imagine a steeper downward trajectory in customer experience. My estimator had a "we're not like other moving companies" vibe that sold me. The rep for my final estimate was similarly helpful and nice. They were my regular points of contact up until pickup; after this, there was no relationship — we just had to call customer service and hope that someone would answer. The first unexpected charge came at pick-up when we were billed for materials and labor for wrapping some of the furniture (the estimators never even asked if any of our items were fragile). We paid an expedited shipping fee to get our stuff in 4-9 days. It ended up taking nearly a month to leave California. AE made many promises to update us that were not delivered on. They started screening my calls (my partner was able to get them on the phone, while my calls, from the number associated with the order, went to voicemail and were never returned). The transparency of the initial interactions was nowhere to be found. Eventually someone told us that the delay was because CalTrans was blocking their trucks due to COVID. Totally understandable, but it would have been nice to have been informed of this right away, rather than several weeks after they stored our stuff and stopped updating us. My partner also noted out that this was probably not a new development; California has been locked down since March, and we booked with AE in June. We were told the expedited fee would be removed, but got nothing in writing. Eventually we were able to get a rep to email us stating that the cost had been removed (no updated contract). She said that the driver would be briefed on the new cost, which he wasn't; he told us the balance due was the original cost, and we had to have him call AE to get the correct number. We were promised several days notice at drop-off, but didn’t get any additional information until the driver called saying he would be arriving the next day (we had talked to a rep the day before who said she would track down his location and call us back, but got no such call). He said that there would be an additional $400 charge to rent a van because our street was too small for his truck. There is a throwaway item on the contract mentioning this possibility with no estimate given. This was also never mentioned by the estimators, who had our address. We tried many, many times to get a delivery date so that we could apply with the city to have the street closed, but were never told anything beyond “7-10 days, maybe sooner.” We called AE about getting this fee waived, were told we would get a call back, and never did. The drop-off experience could not have been more different than the pickup. At pickup, there were three professional movers with AE who were thorough and helpful. The drop-off was performed by the driver and a local guy who was hired for the job — neither of them were employees of AE, nor were they professional movers. The driver was short with us and refused to even attempt to take any of our furniture larger than an end table upstairs (we have a spiral staircase, which is not ideal, but I would have expected him to at least try). I felt bad for the helper — he was great and clearly wanted to help us out more, but had to follow the driver’s lead. They didn’t reassemble or place any of our furniture. At pickup, the movers all wore masks and the foreman told me they get tested every three days. At drop-off, they didn’t have masks and the driver shook our hands on the way out the door. Almost everything that wasn’t wrapped in blankets is damaged. A shelf is smashed; the frame for a table is bent; wood items have paint scraped and splinters coming off; an upholstered headboard has what looks like motor oil on it. Every box is crushed, and no care seems to have been given to the boxes that were marked fragile. Per the driver, we will only be able to make claims on the items that he himself documented with pictures. He only noticed the smashed shelf; I also asked him to note the bent frame and one chair. The others we only saw after they had left, so I guess we're out of luck. We'll be filing a claim for the damaged furniture, but I’m sure the broken items in boxes will not be eligible for a claim since we packed the boxes ourselves. My advice is to have Accurate Express pack your boxes so that they are liable for everything. I know the standard refrain — “it’s in the contract.” The thing is that the reps from this company will only cover the absolute best case scenario, which is wildly irresponsible in the midst of a crisis that is having an adverse effect on everything. If I were to do it all over again, I would have kept each rep on the phone for four hours each discussing every line of fine print. Honestly, just move your stuff yourself. It’s not worth the stress of not knowing where your belongings are, when you can expect to see them again, whose care they are in, or how they are being handled.

Terrible Moving Experience.
DO NOT TRUST THIS MOVING COMPANY! I COULD NOT IMAGINE HAVING A WORSE MOVING EXPERIENCE IF I TRIED! We recently used Accurate Express Movers to move from FL to Chicago. I did extensive research and chose them based on several 5 star reviews. Unless you enjoy being lied to, taken advantage of, having several of your items damaged, PACKING AND LOADING MOST OF YOUR ITEMS ON THE MOVING TRUCK YOURSELF (and getting injured in the process), and dealing with the utmost unprofessional people, do not hire this company. Details listed below: -Their reservation specialist, [NAME EDIT], spent over an hour on FaceTime with me to obtain inventory of what we were moving, to create an accurate quote. She reassured me that the quote she gave was an over-estimate and that would be the MOST we would pay. However, on moving day, our quote was increased by their employee, [NAME EDIT], who told us we had more stuff than the 980 cubic feet estimate. He changed our quote to 1100 cubic feet, increasing our quote by $510. -The day of the move [NAME EDIT] would not begin packing our things until we signed this new quote. Prior to moving day, we were told the movers would show up early in the morning to pack our things and move us out of our apartment (we had to be out of our apartment that day). They did not show up until approximately 1pm. Only 2 men showed up to pack & move our 2 bed apartment.[NAME EDIT] told us if we did not want to sign the new quote, “we could find another moving company to come and move us out”…. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON! [NAME EDIT] told us after the truck was loaded, he would measure our stuff and show us that it took up 1100 cubic feet. When that time came, he wouldn't do this, saying it was too late but he reassured us that when our things were delivered in Chicago, the truck driver would measure our belongings on the truck. -The day our belongings arrived in Chicago, 5 days after we were told we would receive them, the truck driver, who was not an Accurate Express employee, refused to measure our belongings and also refused to move anything off of the truck until we paid him the remainder of our quote in full. *When I originally booked the move with Gina, she said Accurate Express does not subcontract out other moving companies and that every person involved in our move would specifically be an Accurate Express employee. When the driver arrived and was not one of their employees, it was just another example of how they misinformed us. -Once we signed the contract with Accurate Express, almost every time we tried to contact any employees we got no answer or response. -When booking the move, [NAME EDIT] told me that if we paid for packing, the movers would pack and move everything for us and “we would not lift a finger”. Because they showed up so late in the day & we had to be out of our apartment that day, my fiancé and I and 2 of our friends had no choice but to help pack our belongings and also carry most of our things out of the apartment and onto the truck. WE PAID FOR PROFESSIONAL MOVERS AND WE HAD TO HAVE 2 FRIENDS COME AND HELP US LOAD OUR BELONGINGS ONTO THE TRUCK BECAUSE ONLY ONE EMPLOYEE WAS DOING THIS AND WE WERE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. *While carrying out our things, I threw my back out. I could barely walk and was in severe pain because I injured myself doing a job that we were paying Accurate Express to do!! -The day our belongings arrived in Chicago, [NAME EDIT], the dispatch coordinator, told us that we could count the lines on the moving truck, and do the math to determine how many cubic ft our belongings took up. *We took pictures of the truck and how much space our belongings took (7 out of 13 lines). According to the driver, it was a 26 ft. Penske truck. Based on Penske’s website, their 26 ft truck can hold up to 1700 cubic ft. If our stuff took up 7 lines, it equaled 915 cubic ft, not the 1100 cubic feet we paid for. We were told if we showed [NAME EDIT] the photo evidence, we would be reimbursed. Instead of reimbursing us the difference, he argued that it was 8 lines, which is simply untrue. He was supposed to call us the next day to resolve this and but hasn't. ** Since they charged $4.25 per cubic ft, and we paid for 1100 cubic ft, WE SHOULD BE REIMBURSED $786.25 for the difference of 185 cubic feet ** -Finally, after all of this, several of our items were damaged in the move and had to be replaced. Their insurance policy is 60 cents per pound. So for instance, if I made a claim, I would probably only be reimbursed a few dollars for my $550 bike that was damaged. This entire process has been exhausting, upsetting and beyond frustrating. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIRING ACCURATE EXPRESS FOR MOVING SERVICES and I will certainly never do business with them again.

At first, this company seems pretty great. Their quote staff is responsive (as one would be when trying to secure paying contracts). Their preshipment staff is top notch. The guys who came to the origination point were great too. They loaded my household goods and took care to wrap and stack things nicely (note: we were present at this point). This is where the value and good stewardship ends. My things were taken to a depot to await assignment to a driver. What happened at the depot, I will never know. We get to our destination (it was a CA to MO move) and the driver calls 24 hrs in advance to give me a delivery window. The next day, the window is nearly over and no driver and no call. So we call. An he is rude but says he will be there in an hour. Okay, no problem. We wait. He arrives and is rude from the outset. After he is here for at least 30 minutes trying to situate his truck, a random man walks up and it turns out this is his help for the day! Not a professional mover, but a random day laborer. They open the truck and my husband is shocked. Why are our plastic totes upside down, have holes, and are shoved into spaces? They weren't loaded in such a manner at origination. Why is a statue my husband created unboxed on the floor? Why does the driver proceed to toss the statue and all of the boxes, regardless of how they are labelled, of the truck? Why are my new moving boxes that were pristine and packed correctly at the outset all trashed and crushed and shoved into spaces too? The day laborer? Why does this guy, supposedly a network or professionals known to the driver, look like he is going to die a few hours into the work and doesn't know how to lift properly and assemble furniture? Why does my husband have to stand over the driver to insist that he reassembles our furniture when that is a contracted service? Why does the husband have to reassemble things that were done incorrectly after they leave? whoosaaa.. right? The driver is rude and dismissive and careless the entire time, so much so that the day laborer apologizes FOR HIM at the end. The office is closed weekends, so Monday morning I call to complain. At first, it sounds like they are appalled too, and I am relieved. I am assured that the operations manager will call me within the hour. He does not, but it's busy so I am patient. I call again Tues. I am told that I am on his published schedule and will be getting a call that day. I wait. No call. No call Wednesday either. So I am not really frustrated and irritated. I call again Thursday. This day is the first time I am advised on the claims process. I will fill out the claim, but I can't submit it until all of the belongings are unpacked and checked because you cannot submit another claim nor can you add to the claim once it is submitted. I finally get to speak to the "operations manager" who is conveniently also the dispatch operator. He also has no boss over him, so my complaint dies there. So, I might get $0.60/lb for the damaged items.. maybe. But I didn't keep the crushed statue to weigh it. I paid over 8 grand to this company and was promised a professional moving experience. I did not get that. They have a lot of 5 star reviews on a lot of sites, but that has to be some kind of falsity if this is their usual method of business. I am including the photos I have available. In case anyone is wondering, that black wrapped object on the bottom of the pile, under the BOOKCASE and other HEAVY FURNITURE (Why is is that on top??) is my husband's TRAEGAR smoker. I tried to resolve this but the company clearly has no interest in customer experience once the money is in their hands. I was told as much when the "operations manager" said "you already paid for the delivery, there isn't anything I'm going to do now." Which I find funny, because had I not paid the driver nearly 3 grand (IN CASH or postal money order ONLY) he would not have delivered my goods, there would have been a $700 fee for re-delivery, and storage fees.. so it's not like I had a choice to not pay, take it, and try to resolve it later.

Very disappointed.
PLEASE READ if you plan on booking with Accurate Express Movers. They were extremely friendly and professional over the phone while booking. They promised we would have our stuff within a week max. It took 3 weeks. Which by law they have 21 days so I didn’t make a fuss about that. When they showed up our 65in tv was shattered, our daughter’s nursery mirror shattered and a large picture was also broken. They wrapped all 3 of those things. Again I know stuff breaks so I didn’t make a huge deal about it. However, they lost our very expensive rug that goes in our daughter’s nursery and have no idea where it is. Customer service has been a nightmare to work with and they tell me it takes 120 days to get any results on any claims filed. They also only give you .60 for every pound, which won’t even come close to covering the cost of the rug. And now I can’t get anyone to respond to emails about the missing rug. This company had great reviews so I decide to book with them. If this review stops just one person from booking with them then I will be satisfied. UPDATE: I previously wrote a review about Accurate Express Movers and how our rug was missing and some items were broken. When the company read the review, they immediately reached out to fix the situation. They truly went above and beyond to get my rug back to me, which I do appreciate. I know during these times things are hard on every business so I do appreciate them taking the time to locate my rug and get it back to me quickly. We have filed an insurance claim for items that were broken during the move (65in TV, mirror and picture) and are we are working through the claims process - their claims policy takes up to 120 days.
Response from Accurate Express Movers
Hello Paige, Please be advised your requests has been handled accordingly and your rug was submitted via UPS once found in our warehouse. We have carefully handled this and have been in communication with you as you agreed once the rug is received you will remove the review. But as of right now the review is still up and you are trying to extort us for additional $500 to fit your needs in order for you to remove the review. But we do have a claims protocol to follow and we will follow as any business would and file appropriately for a refund. Please remove or simply modify this review as you stated in an email with the accounting department that you would when the rug issue was resolved. Best, Accurate Express Movers.
