   These guys showed up on time and really did the job with style. We will not use any other movers but these guys. The truly are the best at what they do. Thanks guys!!

   Great service and customer care.

   As I'm sure everyone knows how chaotic moving day can be we were excited but cautious about it with a new company we hired. These guys showed up on time and were ready to go, we did have a little hiccup when one of the guys hurt his ankle. The owner came right out and switched the injured guy for one that wasn't hurt and took the injured man to the hospital. These guys were like a big family and during the job they made my kids feel like a million dollars by showing them how to move things without damaging them. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone I know and honestly after reading this other review I'm not sure if we even hired the same company. These guys were a little more expensive but we were able to see right away what the extra money buys you! Thanks Declan and Wade you guys saved the day!!

   Unprofessional Owner

   I recommended this company to a friend and they had one of the worst experiences you can imagine on their moving day. After we left negative reviews on google, the owner began harassing myself and my friends. It escalated to the point where the business owner posted a review of his own business including photos taken of my friend's home and private property. My friend did not consent to these photos and they were promptly removed by google for being shared without consent. Please pay close attention to the 1 star reviews on google where the owner posts responses that routinely devolve into pettiness and the harassment of his former customers. ***PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS***

   Poor management

   Told manager several times I had a lot of stuff but said 3 ton would be enough. They showed up and immediately left to get a bigger truck and call another guy to help. It could have been a disaster if it wasn’t for the quick reaction by the lead guy. Then a few days after the move I noticed they kept my Hand truck dolly so called and was told I’d get it back but heard nothing after a week so called again and was told they don’t have it.Check the truck after your move to make sure you have all your stuff.

   Buyer beware.

   I emailed this company to request an estimate for a short distance move. I supplied all relevant facts such as square footage, address, moving dates, etc. via email. The company refused to correspond with me in writing and directed me to a phone number. Upon calling the company, they had no record of my request, did not have any recollection of my information, and required me to restate the particulars already provided to them in writing. Upon requesting a written estimate, the employee unwaveringly explained that this company does not provide quotes and only will provide an estimate over the phone. In either case, the employee maintained that Clydesdale Moving will not provide written estimates under any circumstances. I emailed the company a second time requesting that they reply with a quotation in writing. The employee managing the email account once again directed me to a phone number. It is commonplace for companies to provide written estimates for the work they propose. The Better Business Bureau recommends that consumers obtain written estimates so that the terms of the job are clearly defined. Upon submitting an online review of my experience, I was badgered by repeated phone calls from an employee of Clydesdale. A voice message from the employee explained that their company policy is to, “Not do anything written over emails.” To my surprise, the message further expressed their dissatisfaction with a negative online review and stated that, “I’ll get in touch with my lawyer and can give him the phone calls of the conversations that we did have and there can be some files and charges to be brought against you for defamation of character.” The fact that Clydesdale does not follow the industry standard practice of providing written estimates does not suggest that this is a very reputable nor professional company. Furthermore, for an employee of the company to threaten baseless legal action is heavy-handed, and further demonstrates their lack of regard for customer service. I would recommend that persons using this company exercise a high degree of caution if engaging in a business transaction. Buyer beware.

   Rip off movers.

   So I called the owner and asked what it would cost for a two bedroom rancher to move from Ladysmith to port Alberni! He said it’s 600 dollars. I said that’s it? He said yes, and he said the truck he’s sending with two guys will be enough to fit everything! So on the day they showed on time but took 6 hours just to load the truck. I packed a truck to move to Ladysmith and only took 2 hours. When we finally unloaded in port it was 10 at night. And they told me the bill was 1300. And I was shocked. I’m on disability so money is not free flowing. That’s why I asked in advance! The kid said that he hates when the boss does this. The boss didn’t even come to the house to see what I had for moving before hand. Very unprofessional and I think I got scammed! Dont use them because they will do the same to you!
