   Really great experience with this company!

   They arrived right on time and took great care with our furniture. They carried that level of professionalism through the whole job, and were finished much sooner than I figured. You can't go wrong with this moving company and these fantastic guys.

   Reasonable Movers

   They arrived on time on the day of the move. We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom house. They were very careful with all of our items and very efficient Great job! One of the things I hate in life the most is moving, yet the folks at Domestic Company made this experience as painless as possible.

   As a small business with not too much stuff, we didn't want to spend a fortune on our move. I received a very prompt and professional response from the team at Domestic Moving Company. They were very fast, professional, prompt and courteous. They took extreme care of my belongings and were very respectful towards me.

   I was very happy with the service I received from this company. I found it very easy to communicate with Jeff. Mike and his crew were great. They moved everything at lightning speed. They made my move seamless. They were incredibly nice and enthusiastic too.

   Unprofessional

   I went with Domestic because of how highly rated the company was and because my initial interactions with them were positive. But this company’s unprofessionalism made moving day so much more stressful than it needed to be. They never called to give me my moving window - I had to track them down. The movers were several hours late and then rushed the job, damaging two pieces of furniture and losing parts to two others. I left a message with my rep but never heard back and when I called the claims number I got a “this number isn’t set up to receive calls.” My estimate was 300 cubic feet off (which meant a surprise extra $750 on the day off) despite being careful to keep my inventory list accurate. Basically I got the sense that once they had my initial deposit, they couldn’t care less about how the rest played out. Most of these issues could have been easily resolved with a little more honest and upfront communication. Trying to move a family is stressful enough without the additional burden of micromanaging your moving company. I’ve learned my lesson and in the future will go with a local company with more at stake in the success of my move.

   BIG TIME SCAMMERS. VINCENT (VINNY) SPAZZIOLO, THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE, WAS FRIENDLY & CORDIAL UNTIL THEY GOT THEIR MONEY. WE BOOKED OUR MOVE FROM ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS TO PALM HARBOR FLORIDA WITH VINNY. HE SENT US AN ESTIMATE OF $4838.40 FOR OUR MOVE BASED ON A ZOOM CALL DURING WHICH HE SAW ALL OUR BELONGINGS. DOMESTIC MOVNG COMPANY IS A BROKER - NOT AN ACTUAL MOVER. VINNY SAID HE WOULD SEND A REPUTABLE MOVING COMPANY & ESTIMATED THE MOVE WOULD TAKE 3-10 BUSINESS DAYS. WE PAID DOMESTIC $982 ON AUGUST 23, 2021 & ANOTHER $2000 ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2021, THE DAY OUR FURNITURE & BOXES WERE PICKED UP. AFTER LOADING OUR THINGS ON THE TRUCK THE MOVERS PRESENTED US A BILL OF LADING WITH A NEW TOTAL COST FOR THE MOVE -$7569. THE NEW TOTAL WAS $2731 MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. WE CALLED DOMESTIC MOVING TO INQUIRE ABOUT THE ADDED CHARGES. VINNY PROMISED TO INVESTIGATE. HE ASKED US TO EMAIL THE MANAGEMENT OF DOMESTIC MOVING WITH THE DETAILS. WE DID. THEY RESPONDED ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 STATING SOME OF THE CHARGES WERE FOR ADDITIONAL CUBIC FEET REQUIRED FOR OUR THINGS BUT SAID THEY WERE REACHING OUT TO THE MOVERS TO REVIEW THE CHARGES & HOPEFULLY ADJUST THE FEES. THAT WAS THE LAST COMMUNICATION WE HAD WITH DOMESTIC MOVING COMPANY. THEY DID NOT ANSWER CALLS NOR RESPOND TO EMAILS. WE REPEATEDLY ASKED FOR THEIR HELP WITH THE MOVERS TO FACILITATE THE DELIVERY OF OUR GOODS. WE DID NOT GET OUR BELONGINGS UNTIL JANUARY 21, 2022 - 4 MONTHS & A WEEK AFTER OUT FIRST AVAILABLE DELIVERY DATE. WE ULTIMATELY HAD TO PAY THE $7569. A FAIR WARNING. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

   A disreputable company that sends criminals to your house to scam you

   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We hired this company to move my mother, a 60 year old woman who lived alone, for her move from NJ to TN. Upon pick-up of the items, the movers intimidated my mother into paying an additional $600 in cash and a personal check made out to an individual after loading her belongings, including all of our family heirlooms, on a truck. While she understood that she was being scammed out of this money, she was afraid to challenge this man as she lived there alone. The driver insisted on cash and a personal check written out to him instead of the company for this undocumented payment after he already loaded her belongings into his truck. I called the company to complain about this scam and they told me there was nothing they could do. The company later then called me to accuse my mother of bribing the driver which is a disgusting accusation. My mother who was scammed out of a large amount of money by their employee had not bribed anyone. The company has recordings of this phone conversation and I urge them to listen to this disgusting accusation. Stay away from this company at all costs. No experience has made me lose as much faith in humanity as this one. The incident has been reported to all relevant agencies.

   Horrible Move

   I wish I would’ve never encountered this company. Moved my belongings from NY to Alabama. So many damaged items, so many stolen items I’m not going to say loss because how do you loose a 65 inch flat screen television? I refuse to settle for 100 bucks when everything I was moving was new. No legs to my furniture which was damaged my end tables damaged ironing board stolen clock stolen 4 queen size comforters stolen missing items for my kitchen and living room broken crystal broken picture frames. And then charged double the price after there was a binding contract which I’m being advised on once you have a binding contract if the weight is over the company can only charge a certain percentage but they determine their own rates. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL BE SORRY. Oh and one of their movers tried to sale me another customers lawnmower and at pick up one mover told me if I gave them 100 a piece they would talk to GiGi to deduct 600 off my bill. THESE PROPLE ARE SCAMMERS AND NEED TO BE EXPOSED VERY UNPROFESSIONAL GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS

   Dishonest and Do not Communicate

   Working with Domestic Moving Company has been a pretty painful experience. I was originally hopeful as they were highly rated but I strongly question how legit these are. FYI, they source their business to other companies, Green Van Lines in our case, so it is a gamble who you are going to get Communicating with them is nearly impossible regarding pickup dates, ETAs and shipment status. They provided us with a low estimate, but it turned out that the cost was more than double once the movers arrived and things were loaded on the truck. At that point we had no choice but to pay the extra money. The shipment arrived several weeks ago, with items damaged and missing a fairly expensive bike. I've been calling, leaving messages and sending emails for weeks with no response. I'm now leaving this review as a last resort as nothing else has worked. I would strongly recommend going with a different company even if the initial estimate is more expensive. Ultimately you will pay the same amount of money while working with a far more professional company.

    DO NOT HIRE!!!! Fraudulent pricing practices, uses Green Van Lines, DOES NOT COMMUNICATE, and is dishonest about moving/delivery dates. Look up these companies on FMSCA's website (https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/). Domestics DOT #: 3425548; Green Van Lines DOT # (note they are under One Stop): 2642285 (https://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/hhg/search.asp - click on the company name). I wish I knew about this site before hiring a company, hopefully this will save someone else the trouble and stress we've endured throughout the moving process. The mover showed up with two friends to help, who were not movers. They showed up 5-6 hours late without any communication. They did not have tools. Did not properly wrap all items and wrapped some items in some weird plastic wrap. When the movers showed up they demanded that the costs would be over double after the truck was loaded. Everything that was moved was on the invoice with Domestic and was accounted for. They also were trying to get the money in full (cash/post office order) at that time of loading, which I did not pay. They left the place a mess. It was an absolute horrible experience! Domestic would not tell us what additional items we had moved that nearly doubled our moving costs and we were forced to pay the additional money to get our things back. We tried for 7 weeks to get a solid delivery date. Just like with the pick-up, we were lied to and told they would be coming on X day and they never showed. The company would not answer the phone on the days we were told they would be here. Finally, we got our things delivered and EVERY piece of wooden furniture is damaged. All furniture is less than 2 years old and has serious damage that cannot be hidden or fixed. Thousands of dollars worth of damage as the items are high quality furniture. We did not have the movers bring the items into the house because when the movers came to load our things, they made such a mess of the place that I did not want to deal with that in my home. We will take on the added expense of hiring someone local to help us. The only saving grace from this whole experience was the driver/movers from Green Van Lines on the delivery-side were different people who were nice and respectful of our things. All in all it was a terrible experience that could have been avoided by good communication, fair pricing practices, and movers who are trained properly to move items and care for them.
