   Can't believe we've been here a week already!

   The crew did a fantastic job with the move.  I unpacked our last box yesterday and not a thing was broken or misplaced.  Considering he had to pack it all up, store it, and then repack it, travel down to Florida and unpack it, I expected that something would be broken or misplaced, but all was just as we left it.   They were so careful with our things and very organized.  Moving is stressful, but both you and the crew inspired confidence the whole way through.  It was a great relief to know that everything was taken care of so professionally.Thank you again for making it a smooth transition.Fondly,Susan & Gary L.

   Estimate Was Terrible

   I can’t recommend East Coast Movers to anyone seeking a mover. They recently moved us from Calabash to Florida. They gave us an estimate of the cost to move us. When the time came, we were required to pay approximately $2,200 more than was originally estimated. They refused to unload our furniture until we paid. Since we weren’t prepared for the total they gave us, we had to put the total on our charge card, which they charged us an additional $181.00 for doing. They talked to us twice after loading our furniture and never once mentioned the additional charges! If I could say one good thing, the crew was very good.

   Lost a $800 tv...offered $13

   Long island to Jacksonville. Packed 2 big screen TV's. Only one showed up and was noted on Bill of lading. Went through claims.... Where you find the tiny writing that says anything they damage or loose the will give you .60 cents per pound! They do it by weight!!! So when they lose your jewelry though luck. What a joke. $13 for a $800 tv they lost! They were also 2 days late forcing us to change travel plans. Zero stars. Find someone else.

   Horrible Experience!

   East Coast Moving in Shallotte, NC placed red inventory stickers on my furniture and the ink from the stickers bled into my furniture and I cannot get the ink out. When I contacted the general manager, Carrie D Partello, she tells me that this could not have happened so she refuses to pay for the damage. The problem I have is not the damage to the furniture..it's the fact that East Coast Moving will not accept responsibility when the problem was clearly their fault. Lack of accountability and responsibility is not what I expected.

   East Coast Moving was very disheartened by this Shippers experience, but his issue with inventory sticker residue was not proven to be due to mishandling or misuse of company employees or materials. The BBB and the NC Utilities Commission arbitration departments both confirmed that same conclusion, much to Mr. Phillips dissatisfaction. ECM General Manager further investigated with the provider of said inventory tape, and the same conclusion was confirmed.
