   They Kept Their Promise.

   From the very first person I spoke to at Element Moving to the last there were no surprises. What I mean by that is there are always those unexpected fees that weren't discussed and no one likes. However, with Element Moving there weren't any. The price they quoted me, in the beginning, was exactly the price I was charged at the end. Also, I hired six other guys to help me, for this was a big move. Those young guys started losing there steam around 1pm. Not so with the Element Moving guys. Those three guys kept their steady pace throughout the entire move. They completely loaded a 28 ft truck and unloaded it at the new home, placing furniture and items where I wanted, all within eight hours. I was really glad I hired them and would strongly recommend Element Moving to anyone looking to move. Thanks guys for making our move much easier.

   After Tornado Move.

   The staff members were excellent during the process of making a choice of movers and after I decided to pick them as the company to make the move. We had three gentlemen doing the after tornado move from our home to the moving POD. They knew how to pack and made a stressful situation less stressful. They managed the move with efficiency and timeless and they were done before I could take a next breath. They were great. They packed the boxes, brought the material, used their materials generously, moved the stuff, and arranged it in a way that we had plenty of space in the POD. The guys were courteous and professional.

   My move.

   Element moving did a great job with my move crew arrived on time and did a wonderful job moving my household.They were very careful packing things like grandfather clocks and china cabinets.Everything arrived on time and undamaged .Would definitely use Element again on my next move.It was a pleasure working with a team of professionals.From the estimater to the people in the office and the movers themselves everyone was very good at keeping me informed every step of the way during planning and the actual move .

   Move from South Carolina to Texas. Storage for 9 months

   We spent over $40K in moving and storage expenses with Elements to move and store our furniture for 9 months. When they moved us into our new home they lost 5-6 boxes. Including my wife’s entire wardrobe, kitchen supplies, family photos, etc. They said that all boxes were accounted for and were totally unresponsive. We had numerous problems with the president of the company, who refused to acknowledge any problems they had. Including trying to charge us $1,100 overage over the original estimate.

   Worst move ever

   I would not trust this company to move a dish from the stove to the table. My husband and I have moved several times in our life, even from Europe to the USA, with never a bad experience, never anything broken. And there were never any price shenanigans pulled on us--as Element did--the date the movers finally arrived. Element did all the packing. A valuable set of dishware for 6 became a set for 3. A Cuisineart food processor was cracked in several places. A vintage wall clock was left behind; but the weights were delivered. Glass covering framed graphic artworks were cracked. Boxes were just dumped in one room and the unpacking service we paid for was not performed. I could go on and on. Finally, to add insult to injury, movers asked for tips.

   Worse Move Ever.

   This was my worst move ever and I've moved across country several times. They packed art and it came broken and damaged. They insisted on soft-crating antiques and then lost the hardware to put them back together. I asked several times about insurance and got the same answer.. it was my decision BUT they had very few claims. Do yourself a favor and look for another company to move you.

   Horrible.

   After purchasing a Groupon, I called Element and booked my appointment a month in advance for 2 movers/2hrs. Element explained they would call me 3 days before to give me time options. Because this was accepted, I changed my lease days to accommodate their moving schedule. Then, as time was approaching to move, I did not hear from them, even a day before my scheduled move date. So, I called them the day before and they say they can now only move me at 8 am. Now, my leasing office doesn’t open until 9am leaving me with maybe 30-40 min to move, if I'm lucky. Even after explaining my circumstance and trying to re-schedule within the next couple days - they flat out refused. You would think booking so far in advance would grant some priority but it didn't matter. Element fit me in based on what was convenient for their schedule that day. I was beyond frustrated. they demanded that I move at 8 am or not all and only left me with 12 hours to turn around and find someone else. There's enough stress in moving as it is, then to have to deal with their un-professionalism was too much to handle.

   Appointment No Show.

   I did some research and chose and set up an appointment with Element Moving to come to my house and give me an estimate for a big move across the country. I office from my home and was working when I realized they had not arrived for our appointment time. I checked my phone, saw that there was a message forty five minutes earlier, that said they were on their way. I returned the call only to be informed that they would no longer be coming, since they had scheduled another appointment, and I that I had not returned their call in time. What?

   Charged twice what they quoted.

   It took the movers 11 hours to pack and move a two hour distance. In the past, other movers had done it in 5 hrs. The packers were slow slow that I eventually asked a friend to help. She arrive late and yet still packed more than 50% of the house. At the end of 11 hrs they still weren't done, yet they wanted me to pay them. I refused to pay until the job was completed, as contracted. The job cost twice what they quoted me and I had to haggle since the increased price was their fault (inefficiency). They damaged 6 items and gave me nothing to compensate. Do NOT use Element Moving. They will give you a great quote and then take twice as long and charge you twice as much.

   Tim, I want to make sure that we get this "story" right. We quoted you for 5 hours, you actually paid for 6.5 hours. You were quoted over the phone as an "out of area" move since you originated in Electra, TX. We could not send an estimator for an in home inventory so we took the inventory over the phone. More items take more time. Customer was told to go to our website to print the claim and send it in, that was in February. It is now April and the timely filing deadline of 90 days has been exceeded. The customer could have filed his claim and it would have been processed according to our contractual obligation. To say we "damaged" 6 things and we did not give him any compensation is a LIE. To say the job cost "twice" what they quoted me is a LIE. "Tell a lie once and ALL your "truths" become questionable.

    High Hopes Demolished.

    I chose Element from Angies list. They were a company located in the city I grew up in and from the first phone call I felt comfortable. When I booked and paid they told me they could pick up my stuff same day and could deliver within 5 days of pickup. 5 days would be a day earlier than when I was scheduled to move into my apartment, but I was willing to pay an extra day to get my stuff so quickly! I had already moved, so my mother was facilitating the pickup.  She said the people that loaded everything were very nice and professional and did a great job. Fast forward 5 days. I haven't heard from Element. I called them and they told me the truck broke down in Colorado and was being fixed, so it might be delayed a week. Fine, it happens. A week later, nothing. I call, truck still broken down and they are looking for a truck to pick up my stuff. Finally I hear that my stuff was transported BACK to Texas and they were waiting for another truck to attempt to take my stuff to Washington.  Fast forward 20 days from date of pickup, meaning I have now paid for a month of rent for an apartment I can't live in. Truck arrives at my place to unload everything. My bed frame is damaged to the point that I can't put my bed on it, my crated mattress is ripped, one of my boxes of clothes looks like it was dropped in the road and driven over and thrown back into the truck, and the leg to my hope chest broke off. I filed a claim. The claim process was normal. I don't think I had any legal ramifications, they delivered within their 21 day time frame and they offered me the amount of reimbursement based on the provided insurance. Just be warned that the amount awarded will not be sufficient enough to replace anything. I'm still not sure if they used their trucks or if they brokered out my move, that might have been a course of legal action since it was advertised that they use their own fleet of truck, but I didn't dive into that research. Ultimately I was just extremely disappointed. It's easy to make customers happy when everything goes right, but I feel like a company shows it's true customer service level when things go wrong and they have to fix things.  If the customer is still happy after a mess up then its a company worth using again and referring to your friends.  This is not one of those companies.    .
