   Emerald Moving Logistics Scam/Fraud

   I was scammed by this company told they would handle my 5x10 unit storage i gave exact amount items. Given a binding quote took my deposit then gave my move to nonaccrecited movers without telling me. Who began adding fees claiming the charge by cubic feet not size of unit or boxes, the person that quoted by price was a broker and doesnt know! Yet i was lied to!! The movers tagged on another $315 to my $462.78 balance claimed for packing, i did all the packing myself way ahead of them coming. A 15' truck picked up items. Numerous unanswered calls and emails to the company with rudest unprofessional person. Only time this uneducated person contacted me was to inform id have to pay $240 for storage as my delivery date changed due to my condo seller being unable to close on time. The sellers agent paid it as it was not my fault on delays. Still that was a steep fee for a studio size storage they were already moving, reputable companies normally charge $115 - 150 for the size. Upon delivery claim a 53'foot trailer wouldn't fit in my condo development theyd have to use a shuttle which would cost me an additional $500. Why the heck would they put my items in a trailer knowingly knowing they cant go into residential properties. This is their scam tactic. I refused to give another penny. I rented my own truck. They warned me i was responsible for driving and unloading and transport to my home since i refused their additional fee or basically hold my items hostage. They literally brought my items to a department store parking lot to fill my truck still charging me $789.78 delivery fee. Which they didn’t deliver i had to get it myself because i refused to ne scammed any further. I reported them to each state district attorney both Emerald Moving and G&M movers who by the way is not accredited. FMSA bureau, BBB, consumer affairs and DOT for both states from pick up to drop off. Unethical standards and profession needs to be reported to every agency. As well get yourself a good lawyer that handles these cases. Get them off the road.

   Original estimate after "inventory refinement" went up 267% (from 10 items & 37 pieces to 15 items & 73 pieces) Amount obviously changed but not even by 100% - however price went up that 267%. Only then to be charged $500 for a change of date (we called AT 7 business days - on the contract it states that was our allotted time for no charge) however the customer service person "Tina" argued with me that the 1st day doesn't count. So they argued it was 6 days. Complete SCAM. THEN on top of that - once the movers go there. One of the movers was on his phone the entire time. Furniture was supposed to taken apart - but the movers "forgot" their tools. Took 4 hours for them to load a one bedroom apartment (which I had done to move IN - in 1.5 hours just me and my son). The movers required my daughter (who just had a baby - 4 months old) to pay an ADDITIONAL $800 because there wasn't enough room on the truck. She refused so they didn't take about 25 pieces we were "CONTRACTED" with. She had to rent a u-haul to get the remaining stuff - adding to our cost. As I argued with the customer service rep - with no help whatsoever - I was told that the "contract" was just an estimate. So the amount of pieces didn't matter - even tho that was what we were being billed for. Assuming the actual movers (not the BROKER) was being honest - the room on the truck allotted was accurate. After talking with customer service - I can only assume the movers were lying to get more money. This company is a complete SHAM. DO NOT USE

   Terrible Moving Company

   WORST COMPANY EVER. To give us our initial estimate they said to just give them a rough estimate of things in our house, especially large items and then for anything additional we would be charged $3.70 per cubic foot when we did the final inventory call 3 days before the move. I had packed most of our stuff about a month before and called to update the inventory and they said to wait until the inventory call three days before. I also asked to know what company would possibly be moving us since I had found out AFTER the deposit that it wasn’t them (contrary to what the rep said initially) and they refused to provide that information. On the inventory call three days before our move went from $2800 to $9100. Our cubic feet had gone up and for small items they basically said it had doubled but they didn’t just charge us $3.70 per cubic foot, they added a $500 fee for changing the inventory and changed their estimate fee from $1600 to $3600. So they added over $2500 just in fees. I think they try to trap people into going with them because it’s too late by making you wait to give an updated inventory until three days before the move so you won’t have other options. We ended up canceling, received no refund/partial refund on our deposit and were treated extremely unprofessionally. Now we’re using a u-haul because we have no other options. Choose any other moving company!!

   Don't do it. Its a con. Here's the order: 1. Cheap Quote- (Usually 20-25% less than others) 2. A readjustment (will be 35% increase +$500 fee) 2. Movers in on Con as well. 3. Bill of Laden will be higher than contract amount. 4. Pay or they hold hostage.

   Scam

   I paid a deposit after receiving a quote based on the belongings I described over the phone — just a studio apartment’s worth. They assured me everything would fit within the quoted space and no extra charges would apply. However, the day before the scheduled move, I got a surprise call from the driver saying they were coming immediately and gave me only 30 minutes to get ready. When they arrived, they refused to begin loading and instead inspected my things. Then they suddenly demanded nearly double the original price, claiming I had exceeded the space limit. They said if I didn’t pay the extra amount, they wouldn’t move anything and I’d lose my deposit. It was clear this was a bait-and-switch scam meant to pressure me at the last minute. The company used deceptive tactics to trap me into paying more than agreed.

   I've left many reviews about Emerald Moving and Logistics or Emerald Moving Isles because they function under 2 different names and portray they're the Emerald Moving and storage which is the REAL MOVING COMPANY.... it's sooooo funny that people think they can pay $2000 to MOVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY... when a U-HAUL COSTS MORE ... MAKE IT, MAKE SENSE, PLEASE!!! I'm sorry but if you read all their reviews and still choose to move with these IDIOTS who are NOT MOVERS & IS NOT A MOVING COMPANY then you deserve what you get!! You've been WARNED AGAIN ...

   The worst move of my life

   Originally when I called everything was great they told me whatever I wanted to hear which later found out we’re all lies and made it seem like this was such an easy process and my price would not go up. I move day they charge me an extra $6000. my things came 20 days later many of it was broken please whatever you do do not believe what these people say. It’s a big scam.

   DONT USE THEM !!

   These people are no better then used car salesmen, especially, Paris Cohen. They tell you one thing on the phone and when the movers arrive, who weren't from Emerald, when I was told Emerald wouldn't sell off my move, then its more money and not what you were told. Then I tried to get in touch with Paris after I paid the deposit, was impossible. Even though he said, "You have my number & email, please reach out if you have ANY questions, I'm here to make the move go as smooth as possible". Nothing but LIES !!! Don't EVER, EVER use this company . Do it yourself cheaper or use a company that does the move themselves.

   Terrible, Terrible, Terrible, Horrible! I would be too exhausted to write my experience with Emerald. Take my advice and stay away from this company. They are liars, rude, and incompetent. I would haul my stuff in a wheelbarrow before I would use this company.

    Terrible experience

    I booked a move with Emerald because they gave me a good price and the salesman pretty much told me everything that I wanted to hear which I learned after the fact were all lies. Boxes and was charged $3000 for those boxes. I don’t even see how this is fair. They took advantage of me. Just want to warn others so they don’t have the same experience
