   Unethical company

   Unethical! They didn't send a big enough truck and because they charge by the hour they are able to pad their bill by having to make multiple trips, which they do not disclose that information to you. They do not do a walk through, they go by how many bedrooms and baths there are to be moved.. Ours was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and we didn't even take our couch or dining room set. Their truck was packed to the max and my husband had to load up a U-Haul and it was filled to the max. I am going through ACL recovery and we hired these movers to move us so it would take the stress off of us. Instead, my husband had to do the extra moving himself, plus, I had to babysit the movers in the garage have to move small boxes off the top of larger boxes so they could maximize room in their truck to fit more stuff, which took more time and that makes a difference when you're paying $175 an hour. I called Flex Movers and tried to reason with the owner, Bryce. I told him he needed to compensate us for their inability to complete the job they were hired to do. Bryce outright refused and even exaggerated the starting and end time. They were supposed to start at 12:30pm but when we arrived at 12:42pm, they were just backing into the driveway. They finished at 4:12pm as I was on the phone with Bryce when his employee told me they were finished. As for the start time, I have the time on my phone as I texted my contractor that was doing some work for me, when we were arriving. There was not a contract or even a text agreement with Flex Movers. They do everything by phone because if they had anything in writing, there would be proof of the agreement and a start time and end time would be documented and signed by the person that hired them. I thought we could agree on three hours which I paid them for but he wanted four hours. The actual time was three hours and 20 minutes, but he charged me for four hours. When I refuse to pay him for the full four hours and gave him the money for three hours, he called the police. I had to pay him the full exaggerated four hours or get arrested for theft services. Any ethical company would have apologized for not bringing the proper equipment to complete the job and agreed to a form of compensation. I would not use this company if they paid me to move me!
