   Sadly, my 80+ yr old parents were duped by this company, or an affiliate/franchise of Good Friends Movers, LLC, as the contract is on their letterhead. They did NOT fully explain that a promise date means NOTHING nor refer to the contact. They do not accept credit cards, which should have been a red flag, but my parents paid cash. Got one quote, then it was DOUBLED after an inventory was provided on paper. NO personnel came to do a visual inspection of their belongings, which was another red flag. After multiple days of having to call the driver for updates, I phoned the company and spoke with Jasmine, who is not management, per her title she provided. She was rude and disrespectful. Threatened to have the movers/drivers leave unless we paid BEFORE they unloaded and said we would be responsible for storage and a redelivery fee. I only asked for a discount for the inconvenience of having waiting four more days from the GIVEN date of arrival and not having consistent communication from THEIR staff. They also did not provide enough moving staff to get the household goods off of the truck, which took over 5 hours. When this was brought to Jasmine's attention before they even started, she basically made it seem that I was saying they were incompetent, when really I was advocating for the fact that they were exhausted before they even started. Her comments were condescending and unnecessary. These gentlemen were nice, but it seems like they aren't getting paid for the amount of work they are doing. Unfortunately, they did damage some pieces of furniture, due to not having enough manpower to get the items off the truck and into the house. We were not given ANY paper documents upon the delivery completion, which again I contacted Jasmine about and she placed the blame on the movers/driver. I highly recommend NOT using this company.

   Delivery date

   1,000 miles and it took them 4 weeks to deliver our belongings at 7pm on a Sunday night. They were beligerent and rude when I called after 2 weeks, and 3 weeks and he reminded me the small print in contract said "up to one month". But the man - Marc who you speak to originally is so nice, so helpful and polite but once you pay and the movers come you can never reach him again - he does not pick up or call you back. So much for "10 business days". Save yourself the aggravation or mismanagement or whatever the problem is with them.
