   Local move heavy desk suite.

   On July 15th this year I had a multiple pieces of a desk suite moved from one house to another. The movers were very pleasant, clearly identified what needed to be done,and communicated with us every step of the way! They had great personalities and got the job done with laughter and a smile. Great job in EO!

   Broke items.

   Moved in July, they broke the leg of a  WHITE Queen Anne Chair .Now almost Oct, no chair. Broke a not inexpensive wall  plate, refused to replace or reimburse. since " they had not packed it" . I guess they could have trashed everything and not be responsible. I FED THEM, TIPPED THEM WELL ! NOT A RELIABLE COMPANY Prior to the move, they added more money to the original estimate!

   Never use this company for your moving service!!

   The guys arrived 1 hour 40 minutes after scheduled time to pack up.  They wasted time packing and removing furniture from my place.  They did not have enough space in the van allocated for the move and pushed one carpet into my car.     They took an extended lunch break on the way to my new house and the office had the nerve to charge me for the extra time.  When I tried to explain to the woman on the phone what had happened and that I was waiting outside my home for almost an hour, she started screaming and abusing me over the phone.  She did not allow me to even put in a word when I was talking to her.   To top it all off, it was raining and all my boxes started breaking before they off-loaded from the van as the rain water had started rolling into the van.  I was alone with a 2 year old and every time I attended to my child and moved away from the van, they were throwing my (already wet and broken) boxes!   I have a whole lot of damaged clothing and furniture now!   Since my new place was under renovation, I clearly gave instructions for specific items to be off loaded into one room on the 2nd floor and specific items to the basement.  They did not adhere to any of my instructions and were just off loading and throwing boxes.   By that time, and after all the phone abuse from the office, all I wanted is for the job to be completed as she had already threatened that they had gone over their time allocation and that I would be charged for the extra hours.   Upon inspection of my furniture items, I noticed that they did not even protect half of my goods and that they had broken legs off the vanity as well as the chest of draws.  They scratched my leather couch while trying to bring it in and had not even put any protective material on that as well.   I am so disappointed in the service and the attitude of this moving company that I would never recommend them to anyone!

   You replied to this review on May 15, 2014: Aneesa, There are many issues I would like to address about your statements about the move. Although you are upset about the experience some of the statements are quite a bit contradicting. I would like to recall to the readers the previous rain storm that took place on April 30, 2014 with conditions of various flash flood warnings. The crew was dispatched with a 45 min travel time for a 20 minute drive, however arriving late due to flooding on rt 280 east. We kept you informed during this period and even requested if you would like to cancel because of the heavy rainstorm. The crew call the office to address how severe the rain was and that it was blowing in the directions of the truck entrance, despite you showing no concern then about the boxes getting wet. We provided you with an in home survey and gave you a realistic expectation of the work scope, however you insisted on your on unattainable expectation. Two men were provide for the job and the it took 6 hours including the additional travel time due to truck route. The crew stop for 15 mins and you were credited a hour, while you still complained the job should take 3 hours. This was explain to you on the day of the survey. As for the alleged broken items, there has been no communication of this to our office even after the follow up email and call. Aneesa I highly doubt that you would even tip the crew if they were throwing your boxes. Aneesa although you are entitled to share your opinion on the review board, it may have been more appropriate to share your concern with the office and review how we handle them.
