   Dishonest and careless employees

   When delivering a load of household goods and furniture from their warehouse, One Stop neglected to bring a big furniture item that they had stored in their facility even though they brought other pieces of the set (the item was listed on their inventory). The mover told me the company would buy me a new replacement if they could not find mine in their warehouse, and he told me he would drive back to the warehouse and look for it and come back with it. On that basis, he solicited and extracted a cash tip for his crew. The chief mover was intimidating and frightfully dishonest (as it turned out). The office agent called after a few days to say they lost the piece of furniture and that the protocol would be for me to make a claim through the third party "neutral" claims resolver. Meantime, the One Stop admins assured me they had the legally required insurance despite the fact that the BHGS website listed the insurance as cancelled. The One Stop admins also said they are committed to resolving the loss of the table through their claims resolver. That turned out to be a complete and utter lie, and after the claim was filed, the admins denied any accountability for the loss they caused (and for which the mover said they would pay and the admins said they would resolve). I could go on. But long story short, take the advice that is offered on this and other review sites from customers who have been ripped off by One Stop. If you hire them, and then have to report them for deceptive business practices and other abuses, do not be surprised.

   I hired One Stop Moving & Storage last year after seeing a post by the owner, Elad Bukovza, on Nextdoor, offering free moving boxes. Hiring this company was a serious mistake that resulted in property damage, theft, emotional distress, and financial loss. The problems began right away. I was quoted $587 but was charged $925 without any explanation or authorization. My bed was assembled incorrectly, two baseboards in my newly renovated apartment were damaged, and most disturbingly — all of my prescription medications, including two controlled substances, were stolen during the move. The theft of these essential medications forced me to miss work, pay for urgent care visits, and scramble to get temporary prescriptions filled out-of-pocket. To add insult to injury, a shadow box filled with irreplaceable keepsakes from international travels — handcrafted items, rare coins, personal photos, and travel mementos — also vanished. These items held deep sentimental value and are gone forever. I made over 20 phone calls and sent numerous emails, desperate for accountability or even a basic response. I was ignored at every turn. Out of frustration, I messaged Elad directly on Nextdoor, our original point of contact. Instead of addressing the serious issues, he accused me of harassment and responded with hostility and deflection. Eventually, someone showed up to “fix” the damage, but the work was incomplete, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I had to hire outside help and pay out of pocket to correct what they damaged. This company’s conduct is unethical, negligent, and appallingly unprofessional. They refused to take responsibility, dodged communication, and treated a paying customer with total disregard. So I pursued justice through small claims court — and I won. Let this be a warning: One Stop Moving & Storage is not a reputable company. Their actions were not just unprofessional — they were unlawful. Do not be fooled by their friendly marketing or Nextdoor posts. Protect yourself, your property, and your peace of mind — avoid this company at all costs!

   The movers are dirty and careless. The marked up my walls, broke my wall sconce, broke the elevator, scuffed furniture and took long breaks to increase the time so that they were paid more. Also they charged 15.00 for mattress covers when even Hertz charges 5.00.
