   Stranded Worst company.

   Owen gave us a quote via email, came to our home and confirmed this quote. We liked him and even though we had 3 quotes for less money we went with Owen as he seemed genuine. BOY was I wrong! We booked over a month prior to moving and as we were moving to the island and were aware it would be a two day move (load day 1 unload day 2). The week leading up to the move I was in touch with Owen confirming our appointment and what ferry to reserve so I reserved both of our vehicles on the 515am ferry Saturday morning which cost $17 each. Moving day arrives and we are all excited as we have just purchased our first home. The truck showed up 3 hours late. Upon arriving the 3 men walked through our home complaining and swearing (in front of my kids) about how much stuff we had (we purged since Owens original assessment) they tried to charge us $2300 more than the original quote as if this was no issue at all. When we took issue to this the movers instructed us to speak to Owen and while we got on the phone with him they left never to return. My family and I found ourselves and 830pm on a Friday night of the busiest moving weekend of the year stranded with all our belongings in our driveway and no movers or truck to put them in. WORST COMPANY EVER. Owen did nothing to fix the matter and blamed us for having to 'fire' his crew which I do not believe for one minute he actually did. Thankfully we were able to get a truck from DYSCO but not until 1am so myself, my husband and our two young daughters loaded the truck until 630am at which time we had to race to get the ferry. Both my husband and I have been in serious accidents causing us to both suffer from back injuries, the whole reason I hired movers was because we could not do it ourselves. There has been no contact since that day and Owen has not even apologized for the behaviour of his crew. This company took what should have been a very exciting time in our lives and turned it into the worst weekend of our lives. SO thanks for nothing Service Best moving! I would highly recommend you keep shopping if you are considering this company!
