   Great service!

   Ricky and John were excellent in their handling of our things! They came to look at what was to be moved, established a plan and quickly but carefully moved everything out to the truck using the appropriate equipment. At the new place, they put everything where we indicated, again, quickly and carefully! Their good manners and professionalism were excellent! If I have to move again, it will be with Sheridan including John and Ricky! ?????

   Above and beyond!

   This was my second time using Sheridan Brothers moving. Al, Kyle, and Adam were professional, friendly, efficient and took care of my furniture and newly refinished hardwood floors. They laid down flooring protector in the new house, moved and rearranged my furniture the way I wanted it, and *fixed* my broken dresser (!!!). I was moving the old dresser even though it was falling apart and they asked if I wanted them to fix it, I said yes, and in barely a few minutes they had it apart and back together better! They moved my washer and dryer to the new house and the old owner's washer and dryer back to my previous address. They were so cheerful even when moving very heavy furniture! Would highly recommend Sheridan Brothers Moving and especially Al and his team. Friendly and helpful office staff too!

   Move from 4 bdrm to condo Fri Dec 11, 2020

   Move went smoothly and efficiently. Moving crew worked hard and very friendly and humorous which was great. But some misjudgment on size truck and crew of 4. Several items had to go by cars that should have been on truck. Took longer than planned and some of crew were a bit upset they were not home for dinner with family. When unloading, despite careful plain labeling, several items went to basement and garage that should have been in kitchen and dining. I am 83 and that seems unacceptable, like a treasure hunt trying to find certain things! I am also having difficulty finding light bulbs for lamps they packed. Liked your company, easy to work with, dependable but biggest problems named. Sonja Poe, local move from Pittsford to Victor Fri Dec 11th.

   Moving a small apt. to a house

   O.K. so it is really too early to write a review before I get results. Three men showed up, very nice and very hard workers. ( I felt bad for them - tough job) Unfortunately, some items were damaged or broken. Antique end table (costly item) and my couch a tear in the front from a nail. I put in a claim and I hope they stand by their name and reputation. I went with Sheridan because they have a good reputation. So here is hoping......I will write back once the damage issue is resolved. Today is 5/20/24 lets see how long it takes.

   Quite the experience. We had a very large house to move. Dave came to take a look and took notes. When it was time time for the packing crew to pack it all up the people doing the move were surprised at how much there was. On the second day of packing there were some mumbling complaints about the amount of stuff still to pack. Day 3 brought a new crew to start the move. It went pretty well, but day 4 brought a lot of comments and complaints about how much there was still left to do. They were all tired, some exhausted. They seemed unprepared for the large task. Two of the young men were very kind and polite, but the other 4, not so. The delivery was haphazard, boxes in the wrong rooms and stacked so high that we had extreme difficulty getting to them. Now that I am unpacking, I am having trouble finding things that I need because they are in wrong rooms. Things that go together were not packed together, for instance my mixer was in one box but the bowl and tools for it somewhere else. The work load was underestimated but the bill was not! The Forman presented me with a bill that was over two thousand dollars more than the bill from the office, what is that about? Be sure to pay your bill at the office, not with the actual moving crew!

   Do not do it.

   Three men showed up. The one that appeared to be in charge complained throughout the day (9am-4pm for a small one bedroom apartment), damaged my bedroom mirror, damaged my windowsill, and didn’t put my bed back together correctly. This blatantly unfinished job isn’t even subtle. The tall one smelled like marijuana throughout the day. No sense of urgency. I chose to leave things in my old apartment and go back to get them myself because I just wanted these people gone. In the end, the employee asked me to sign the iPad. After I signed, he quickly filled out the survey that was meant for me, and gave Sheridan Brothers five stars on my behalf. So don’t believe any of the better ratings you find anywhere online because it’s falsification of documents for personal gain. Crappy service with unethical business practices. Sheridan Brothers is not invested in customer service or the quality training of its employees. MAKE NO MISTAKES AND HAVE NO REGRETS: This is not the moving company you want showing up on your doorstep the day your life is in a bunch of boxes.

   Damaged Furniture/Customer Service.

   Buyer Beware of Upfront Misleading Verbal Statements by Contractor: We moved our entire (nearly 3000 sq ft) household twice, within 3 months, with this  company.  The first time was reasonably smooth with upfront assurances by one of the owners (Joe Sheridan) that, despite insurance limitations, as a locally owned family company, they would take care of any damages that might occur.  After the first move we never saw Joe again.  The second move resulted in damage to a valuable chair due to a knife used by one of the movers to remove shrink wrap, as well as scratches to an Ethan Allen desk and a Bassett dresser.   None of these issues has been properly addressed 4-5 weeks following the move.  The insurance company has stated that Sheridan is only liable for up to $75 worth of damage based on the insurance we agreed to and despite Joe Sheridan's assurances that he would take care of any issues.  The damage is far more expensive than that.   Both owners have ducked our phone calls repeatedly and the office staff does not respond to calls.  The lack of a follow-up phone call from either of the owners shows a disregard for customer service and satisfaction and is totally unprofessional.   At least other prospective movers should know what they are getting into with this company before they sign any agreements.  Sheridan Brothers can be careless with handling furniture and does not stand by their verbal commitments or advertised claims.
