   The Best movers i ever used

   From the moment Ray, Carlos and Ben walked in you could feel that they like what they are doing. they did a walkthrough with me and asked if I have any special requirements, I showed them a few items of concern that were sentimental to me and they used double the cardboard amount and blankets to protect it. They arrived at our new address in Long Island before we did and by the time we got there they were ready to unload and the whole move too 2 hours faster than originally estimated. I can't be happier and I would recommend Simply Moving to anyone asking me about movers!!!

   Good experience

   The movers were great. Came on time. Wrapped and blanketed every piece of furniture. Fast and sufficient. The only reason I’m giving them 4 out of 5 stars, other than they got lost (which is no big deal, the area I live in is easy to lose your way) but, that they took apart our bed frame and didn’t put it back together. Easy assemble but I just thought they would do it for us. Also, I told the representative that our streets were really tight and they sent a bigtruck anyway. I asked the mover and he said he was not informed of this information. (luckily it fit). Other than that they did an excellent job. They maneuvered furniture into the tightest of spaces and I was impressed.

   Don't waste your money or sanity

   They damaged our front door, $1000, they scratched up our new floors and walls, they dented our fridge, they didn't have the equipment to move items so they said they would be back and never showed up, they didn't move a fridge into our house but left it in the garage, I called 3 times and texted before anyone called me back, and even after that no one called back to resolve my problem. They also charged an extra 500. I disputed 500 but I should have disputed the whole thing with the damages I now have to fix along with hiring someone else to move items I paid for but didn't get moved. Don't go with them

   Great if you want all your stuff broken

   This is a super frustrating review to write. I've used Simply Moving twice and the first time had no issues. It went so well that I booked them for my next move two years later. I hired them to pack and move everything from my one bedroom apartment to another apartment about 5 blocks away. This time they damaged several pieces of furniture (including a custom built, solid wood dresser that will cost $1000+ to replace), broke many dishes, and generally packed things so poorly that it was almost as if the movers had never done this before. First I found a leaking box which turned out to be a half empty box of toiletries that were just thrown into a box with no packing material or organization whatsoever. Multiple containers were packed upside down and leaked all over everything inside the box. That was a fun hour of cleaning. Next I opened two nearly empty boxes and one box with no items only packing paper. One had a single face mask wrapped in loads of packing paper - that's it. A medium sized box for a single face mask... The next box had two tiny items inside - again, loads and loads of paper but not much else. After another hour or so I started removing the items they had put on top of my dresser and noticed the enormous gouges and irreparable damage. It was clear that someone had put the dresser top down and dragged it off the edge of the truck or on the ground. We immediately emailed Simply Moving about this and were asked about the type of insurance we purchased. Meanwhile, we continue unpacking and begin to find more and more damaged items that were clearly from negligent and careless handling. Somehow I doubt I'll ever see a penny for the thousands of dollars in damage Simply Moving did to my things. But I'll certainly never hire them again.

   Misleading and unprofessional.

   They were rude throughout the call. The dispatcher implied that I’m lying to him when he didn’t know the difference between height, length, width. Then he started lying to me. He gave me an exaggerated quote, trying to sell me on it when he didn’t know the actual distance between place a and place b. Then estimated less time and tried to pressure me into giving him my credit card number. I don’t know if they are legit but the person I talked to on the phone made it sound like a scam while also being disrespectful.

   Do not use this company - they will break your stuff!

   I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with the service I was provided by Simply Moving during my move from Crown Heights to Williamsburg (~20 minute drive). During the move they managed to break and damage around $600 worth of stuff. I lost house plants, had an entire planter of soil dumped into a box that contained all of my books - I still have soil stuck between the pages. After filing a claim, I was offered $85 - which is not enough to replace a single item that was broken and did not even meet the minimum refund I should have received based on the formula on their site and in the contract (covers $.60/lb per item). They also snapped my TV from its stand in a way that cannot be replaced but refused to pay out and instead insisted they would send another stand (which is not possible to attach). When I insisted that my case be looked at again, they just stopped responding. I would hope that my experience is not standard, but I will not be recommending Simply Moving to anyone.

   They charged me without my permission.

   I had a horrible experience with these guys as they charged my card without my permission. They told me they will not be charging me and when I got off the phone with them I see an email from the bank that they have charged me.
