   Worst Move Ever

   I hired North Coast Moving and Storage (Allied) to move cross country from Seattle to Connecticut. I stored the entire contents of my house at Siracusa Moving & Storage in Connecticut for 2 months while I closed on my new house. Siracusa Moving & Storage is also an Allied Van Lines facility. I splurged for Allied and paid for the extra insurance for high valued items. They disassembled my Italian floor lamp to the point that it broke. They dissassembled my bed and lost all the hardware. They lost the legs to my dining table. They scratched multiple pieces of furniture including 2 end tables and 3 dining chairs. I have moved about 12 times in the last 10 years for work and I have never had so much go wrong across all my moves. I submitted a claim immediately to Allied and their claim department gave me the run around. It's been 6 months and they just reimbursed me for all the damaged items and I had to do all the legwork to find replacement items. The claims department did NOTHING to help locate replacements. They gave me the run around for 6 months. They are incompetent. Neither moving company -- North Coast Moving & Storage or Siracusa Moving & Storage -- would accept responsibility for their mistakes and kept pointing the finger at each other. I will be shouting from the rooftops just how despicable and awful North Coast Moving and Storage and Siracusa Moving & Storage are.
