   I went onto speedee movers website the night of the 27th and got an immediate follow up the next morning as 4 other companies failed to do so. Lea was able to fit me into the movers schedule on the same day. The guys were very professional and took their time wrapping the furniture to prevent any damages. The guys made sure they placed the furniture where I wanted and I never felt as if they were rushing. Overall had a great moving experience with speedee movers!

   Speedee Movers.

   My wife and I utilized Speedee to move from Concord, California, to Longview, Washington. Although Speedee does not provide direct long-distance moves in every instance, our stuff was picked up on a Tuesday and delivered to Longview on a Sunday. This was after "moving up" our moving date by three weeks. Lea was a total sweetheart to work with. All our items arrived in excellent condition and the estimate was almost right on the money.

   I really should've checked reviews before booking them. Everything related to the payment told by lea on the phone is not true. They finished packing and driving to my new house in less than 3 hours and they wanted to charge 6 hours! Of course double driving time AND 5% fuel only showed up then. When I asked them why don't we see how long it takes unpacking they threatened me! I was alone and a woman and I got scared so I agreed to pay them. Then the most horrible thing happened, lea said their credit card machine was not working and I needed to pay cash before unloading!! I don't have any debit card with me and I can't leave a new house unattended to drive to a bank to get cash! They immediately turned into gangsters!! They threatened me by stopping unloading my stuff and adding more hours if I don't go. I felt they are about to take out their guns!! They ripped me of more than $1200 CASH! I was charged additional $61 for the transaction!! I had no other choice!! They had all my stuff in their truck! How could a company like this still exist?

   The movers were on time and efficient. They didn't break anything. The move worked out fine. However, the estimate I received was significantly off from the final price - I grudgingly paid more than $400 in excess. I spent careful time and attention on the phone with Lea to list all of my items for the move. Her estimate was 2800 pounds. We both agreed 2800 pounds would be more than enough. (An average one bedroom apartment is 2200 pounds.) When my items were in transit, Lea tried to tell me that my items from a small apartment weighed more than 4000 pounds! Lea did not satisfy me that she looked into the discrepency with any vigor. Instead, she gave me a 'discount' on the overage that I still feel was unfair. Since there are so many options for long distance moves, I would not recommend Lea and Speedee Movers.

   Speedee Movers damaged ceiling of building elevator and refused to pay.

   Speedee Movers damaged the wooden ceiling of the building elevator and refused to pay. Further, this company refused to provide me documentation such as bill of laden and receipt for payment I made to the company. The company that manages the building obtained a price quotation for the repair, which I attached to this complaint. It will cost over $1300, for which the HOA is making me responsible. All I asked Speedee Movers to do is to pay for their damage and provide me with the documents that I believe that legally I am entitled to, I.e. bill of laden and receipt. Yet, Speedee Movers refuses and ignores me.
