   Horrible experience.

   Horrible experience with Speedy Man movers, unprofessional workers, took them one hour to move the refrigerator out, then the refrigerator doesn't work after powered on. The mover did not cover the leather sofa so the leather got scratched, and the wood floor got deep scratches too.. we called Jay many times, all he did is to schedule the GE technician to our home, he said Speedy man will pay for the service, but no response after we sent him the GE invoice, GE technician confirmed that the mover wired the door back oppositely and the issue was caused by the movers! I rarely write reviews but this time I hope the review can help other home owners make their choices wisely. I would not want to give any star if it allows.

   Very, very bad.

   I have had a HORRIBLE experience with this company. A desk was broken while moving which happens, I understand. We were told that they would fix it. My wife and I followed up regularly over the next many months and it wasn't until 6+ months later that they finally responded to us and not only told me that the desk (which was part of a very large office set) couldn't be fixed but that they had disposed of it. When they offered me a settlement amount (based on the weight of the broken desk which couldn't be verified as they had disposed of it!) it did not take into account the fact that there is a now a large incomplete office set. After many calls and emails, including correspondence from my attorney, I have settled on the fact that I either need to take them to small claims or walk away. They have taken minimal responsibility, wasted hours of my time, and caused an immense amount of frustration. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company.

   Speedy = SLOW!!

   I would give them zero stars if that were possible! This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing move! I was quoted a rate for 3 guys when I spoke with them for the quote, as that's how many guys I've used on ALL my other moves and ALL of my previous moves were done in 2.5 hours. They estimated the move shouldn't take me more than 3 hours and if it did they guaranteed they would charge me the same rate if it ran into a 4th hour. I was moving from a house to an apartment (essentially equivalent to a 1 bedroom move).. I only had a small amount of furniture in the house and a few boxes (almost everything was already in the living room ready to go out the door into the truck), ALL my other boxes were in the garage (maybe 60-70). A very easy move. I explained to the guy giving me the quote that I'm very apprehensive about movers and quotes because of an extremely bad experience I had in the past with a mover in IL (that was later shut down by the ICC) and he assured me that they are Christians and family owned and I could trust them. Well, I don't believe any of that to be true! Only two guys showed up and they had no clue about a 3rd guy being part of the quote. They had ONE dolly between the two of them (unbelievable)!! Towards the end of the move they were using my dolly. This move took 4.5 hours and would have taken more than 6 if myself and my two sisters were not moving things out of the house and into the truck! It took them an hour to pack the boxes (maybe 60 of them) from the garage directly into the truck that was parked just a few feet from it!! Even 2 guys should have been able to move faster than that!! My sister's and I stated bringing the furniture (of which, I do not have a lot of) out of the house to the truck so they could load it. When we arrived at the new loc (just a few miles away), to help speed things along, my sisters and I asked them to just unload the truck and bring items to the elevator and we'd get them up and into the unit. They were still going so slow that we were going out to the truck to get stuff and bring it in. I'm finally unpacking and I can't tell you how many boxes have broken items in them..and I pack very carefully. I also have a lot of bins with Fall/Christmas stuff in them - several bins are no longer usable because the lids were completely cracked up. I don't understand how any of this happened because they had a 26' truck and I probably only filled 1/2 of it! The two guys were very nice, though. Can't complain about their attitudes. The younger guy WAS trying to keep things going at a decent pace but.. this move truly shouldn't have take more than 3 hours! But, if they're only going to send 2 guys then they should only be charging their advertised price of $75 per hour (so don't trust them).. they charged me $95 for the first 3 and even tho they said they'd honor their rate for the 4th, should it take that long, they charged me $115 for the 4th. The move took 4.5 hours but the older guy gave me a credit of .5 hours and said they'd mark it as tho they took a break.. he knew I was extremely concerned about the length of time the move was taking and how much it was going to cost me. They also charged $84.95 for 1 hour travel time (what happened to $75/hour advertised price?). Had this move not been a last minute move I would have called around more. Maybe movers in IL are just faster paced than up here in WI, I don't know. What I do know is, I will never use this company again!!

   Moving experience.

   Inexperienced movers, they took loads of extra time to wrap items just to damage it anyway. Loads of scratched, dented, broken items and I didn't even have them move everything.  They took apart items to fit in the truck and left the screws, bolts and parts laying on the floor and couldn't find the parts when they delivered them. Worst movers EVER!!
