   Moving to Scotland

   In our recent move from the Midlands to Aberdeenshire we were very impressed with the service we received from this company. They came on time, were very efficient at loading up and were a pleasure to work with. In Scotland, after an eight or nine hour drive the previous day, they unloaded everything quickly and then helped with putting up beds and reassembling furniture. The men were friendly and courteous throughout and we were very pleased that we had used the company. They made what was quite a strenuous move for us into something much more pleasant than we had anticipated.

   Our move with Little Removals Company

   Our move went really smoothly. The team of guys were friendly, efficient and really helpful - which is what you need when the stress of a move is catching up with you. I’d definitely recommend the company. The cost was very fair too.

   Local Move in Oxford

   I moved house 3 days ago, a very short distance to new house on next street. The whole process was incredibly stressful due to muck up by solicitors resulting in the van being loaded, waiting to complete, then finding out at 5pm that the move was delayed by 2 days, meaning the men had to unload everything back into the house. They did this quickly and efficiently and returned 2 days later. Kian, Shane and Declan were excellent workers. Friendly and helpful throughout. They were happy to assist with extra drop offs of a few items of furniture which were being rehomed and not coming to new house, which I arranged on the day itself. After being quoted a very reasonable amount, the total came in £300 plus more and was taken from my account without invoicing which I learned was written into company policy, so beware of no fixed rate. Having said this, I was happy to pay extra for the guys flexibility and extra help. They even managed to navigate my large 4 seater sofa out of front door, which on move in with different company, involved taking out the window. Unfortunately the men were unable to reassemble my big climbing frame as it was dark by the time it arrived to new house. This is a shame because I'll now have to pay someone else to come and do it. Additionally I was told by office staff that empty box collection could not be provided. Would have been nice to see this service included in the cost of the move, or available at a small extra fee. Overall my experience was good. Everything arrived intact with no damage to goods or property. Kian, Shane and Declan were worth the money. Would recommend these chaps.

   Little removal company

   Elizabeth Bavister just now New Appalling service. Packing not completed and possessions just thrown into boxes without care. Items mixed up and boxes not properly labelled. Cutlery tipped over the top of crockery. Bathroom goods jumbled together with hair pins, toothbrushes, perfumes, just chucked in on top Several items of sentimental value broken through lack of proper wrapping Unloading was haphazard and careless and boxes were stacked on top of softer items that were squashed, and the piles were unsteady. Paintwork scratched. We needed a rescue team for the removal, as the first driver hurt his wrist, and also proceeded to have a shouting match with a delivery driver outside our new house, which was embarrassing, and from then it became better. The new team knew what they were doing, at last. James and Jay I can praise and thank, but I could not possibly recommended the company.

   Suspected Theft whilst this company did removal.

   I used this company twice, once to move from Stroud to storage nearby and a few weeks later onto Dursley. The removal men looked pretty scruffy but seemed quite friendly, and the first move was a success to be fair, but on the second occasion there were only 3 blokes and one of them was the younger brother of one of the first team who we saw again- he didn't seem very motivated; however I helped them with the move on both occasions and gave them a bottle of something to say Thank you for their efforts. In Dursley they set the fire alarm off on the staircase and whilst I was DISTRACTED along with my brother phoning the council it looks like they took the chance to grab a rucksack and an iPad from a broken draw left outside the flats. (There is a small chance a passerby took them but they were standing there when we returned). My Brother is a vulnerable adult and to steal of him is a very low thing to do! This has been reported to the police. Owner of the Little Removals company just spoke of claiming on household insurance and made no efforts to find culprit or to reassure us. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY.

   Appalling customer service. Vans too small

   The company sent out a surveyor to access our needs. We were moving to a different county so needed to get moving day organised well. They told me we would need two vans and 3 people. I opted for a fixed cost due to being charged extra on a previous move. They said £955 plus extra £120 because of the distance. I had to pay in advance. I’ve never had to do this before and have moved many times. I emailed to check the amount and was told £955. When they took the payment they took the extra £120 at the same time. I was not aware of this! When I queried this the attitude of the lady was not good. She didn’t understand my point that she should point out to people how much she is going to take at that time. On moving day they arrived at 9:45, I had been told 9:00 by email twice. A few hours in the men told me that they couldn’t fit all my furniture in the vans! I called the company asking what they could do! Their response was unbelievable! They told me I had paid for 2 vans so that was all I could have. When I tried to explain that if they had surveyed me needing 3 vans we would have paid for that. She shouted over me that there was nothing they could do! Due to us moving some distance we couldn’t just leave our furniture there! We did eventually sort something out at an extra cost! Moving day is stressful enough without such poor service. I would never recommend this company.

   Move from Churchdown to Tibberton

   Awful service, took over 8hrs for a 2-bed house, no equipment provided as requested, move not completed, items left at the sold property including my best clothes thrown in the garage - please do not use as there is no reasoning with this company -very stressful experience & management have very bad customer service

   Shambles

   We had the removals service booked to arrive by 9am but nobody turned up. We had a phone call at 9.15 to say they were one man short and aiming to find someone to replace him.Danielle said she would call back within 30 mins but did not call back until 10.15 to say there would now be 3 men arriving at 12. They did not arrive until 12.45 and then made no attempt to make up any lost time as it took them until after 3pm to load the van (I had a small 1 bed flat). The driver stayed in the back of the van on his phone and smoking (with my belongings in with him) whilst the other 2, clearly young and inexperienced men, carried down the boxes and furniture. 2 pieces of painted wooden furniture got damaged and they could not get 2 large bookcases out of the flat despite them having been moved in, made up, a year ago. When they eventually arrived at the new property and carried the furniture and boxes in, they picked up a parcel that was sitting on the doorstep of a neighbours property. When questioned if they had seen it they ‘found it’ in the back of the van and claimed they thought it was a parcel for us, which made no sense as they had put it into the van rather than the flat. To make things even worse we realised when we eventually got more things unpacked that there is at least one box missing, which contains lamps and lights. We can only assume that this has been stolen after the issue with the parcel, but as we did not take out insurance due to them apparently being a reputable company, we cannot make any kind of claim. I dread to unpack anymore of my stuff as I feel there will be more missing. I only went with this company because they had glowing review and their initial customer service was good. As a young single female, I assume the workers thought I wouldn’t notice, but I did. I recommend that no one EVER uses this company.

    Dishonest and Rude

    It’s a real shame to have to write this - but be warned here. Our initial quote was reasonable, early interactions positive enough and the two men who did the move itself were competent. The challenges started post move. We had 75% extra charged without warning citing “return to depot” - a journey that came in more than double the Google maps estimate (“we have the right to choose our own route and charge you for it” - was the rationale here). When we called up to query being charged almost double what we were quoted, Karolina Wisniewska became extremely rude. Real shame, she has let this company down and the unwillingness to be reasonable left a bitter bitter taste.
