   I was extremely please how they went "over and above" expectations to ensure our moving experience was stress free as possible. The team was exceptionally professional, helpful and friendly.    Shakedown followed by a furniture hostage situation

   Short version: We contracted a move from NY to PA 2 months before the move date. They inquired about # of rooms, furniture, etc. They gave us a quote which we signed off on. The day the movers came they DOUBLED the PRICE without ever checking the inventory provided. Detailed Version: I did a lot of online research before selecting a company and Amerisafe had very good reviews, so we decided to go with them. We contacted them approximately 2 months before the move and during the time up to the move things seemed to go smoothly. During an initial call they inquired about the # of rooms, # of bedrooms, about items in each room, large pieces of furniture, glass pieces (tabletops, shelving, etc.), area rugs, etc. We were quoted a price, which we accepted and signed. In addition, we were told Customer Service would call closer to the move date to see if there were any significant changes to the inventory - there were not. The day the movers (apparently locally contracted company named US Moving Enterprises) came, the "clipboard guy" came in, looked around, never checked against the inventory we provided and DOUBLED THE PRICE!!! We went back and forth with him but basically there was nothing we could do. It was either pay it or he would leave without moving the furniture. I called Amerisafe and the Customer Support person I spoke with was sympathetic but didn't do anything. It was just finger-pointing. Later i the day, the "clipboard guy" said the move would actually need another truck and that would be more money!!!! He offered to do it at a "better price" if I contracted that part of the move through him. So, he was trying to cut-out Amerisafe now. I said "No" to another truck. About 5:00 PM I told him he needed to finish up because the building had a 5:00 cut-off on moving in/out which we informed them of earlier in the week. He 1st said, "No one told him that." Then back pedaled and said "Well, we must have told a new person." The next day as they moved us in it was a similar situation - trying to nickel and dime where ever they could but my wife didn't fall for it. BTW, the actual men who moved the furniture were professional and polite. No complaints with them.

   Stay away from them

   Do business with this company if you want to spend thousands of dollars to destroy your belongs worth tens of thousands of dollars, which is my family's experience. They tell you nothing but lies. We moved from IL to CA. They promised us that they do direct delivery and we can have the stuff in 4-5 days. Instead, they take around 15 days to deliver your stuff, and your boxes have gone through countless warehouses (which the driver told us on delivery). The boxes must have been thrown like trash bags in every transit, anything delicate in the boxes have been shattered to pieces upon delivery. Enjoys boxes and boxes of glass shards, mosaic monitors, and electronics with cut-open wires after using their service. Oh, and we even had 3 boxes that went entirely missing (10% of our total boxes). I guess they didn't even count the number of your items when going from warehouse to warehouse. Enjoy their magic service of making your possessions randomly disappear. There won't be anyone responding to your call about your loss after delivery. Instead, you are asked to go through their insurance service, which is a joke. We lost tens of thousands of dollars of goods because of this company, and the amount of their compensation from the insurance is less than the money I will give to a homeless each time. I guess I can easily go homeless myself if I do business with them for a few more times. Do business with this company if you enjoy getting rid of your possessions, but you can probably do that with less money by calling garbage disposal. So I guess there is no reason to do business with them, unless you like to throw your money away and you also hate doing charity.

   The Worst Movers I've Ever Used

   Make sure you check out the Google reviews where this company has a 1.8/5 rating. US Moving Enterprises (New Rochelle, NY) is the worst moving company I have ever used, and I've used many different companies over the years. This company is full of nothing more than crooks and liars. To start, the salesperson lied every step of the way to get my money; lied about how my belongings would be stored and even lied about why he changed the pickup dates on my contract (and was foolish enough to text his lies to me!). The salesperson stated that a second date was added to my contract only as a rain date, all while knowing the company was never going to honor the initial date I gave them and had I not called the weekend prior I would have been waiting a full day on the movers (still waited because they showed up 5 hours late the next day!). The owner and manager are one of the same, will lie in each sentence they speak to you, or never give a straight answer at all. I had to keep on top of my move as if I worked there because the manager rarely kept her word to remain in contact with me about my move as she stated she would. US Moving Enterprises will continuously tell you they will deliver your items within 7 days and will not outsource the delivery to another trucking company, that was All a Complete lie. My items arrived over two weeks late through a company called American Relocators (MC 550326, USDOT 1456521), thrown in the truck like garbage. Several items were completely destroyed and I'm still missing items! I put in a claim for retrieval of my missing boxes and new ladder but I have no confidence in this company or them doing the right thing which is why I have filed complaints with the FMCSA and BBB against them. If you have been shafted by them, I suggest you do the same. No one should have to pay the high cost financially and emotionally that US Moving Ent. puts its customers through... or in my case, still going through!
