   Exceptionally POOR Packing.

   Do not under any circumstances use Willis Permian movers if you value your possessions. We used them to pack up our things in boxes and to pack those boxes and furniture into PODs. We did not use them to move or store our things. And this review is based SOLELY on their PACKING job. I am a sculptor and had a number of delicate piece that had to be moved and which required careful packing. When we received the POD and began unpacking it, it became clear quite quickly that the packing was insufficient. Two sculptures were packed on the top of their boxes with very, VERY little packing to protect them from jostling or impacts from other boxes. Another piece was packed so close to the wall of a box that a piece broke off. And the final piece was packed at the bottom of a box. All together $5,000 in artwork was lost, and as a relatively poor artist this is devastating. I spoke with the owner of the company who said they would take no responsibility for their packing because they did not "move and store our items." This even though the loss was caused by the service they provided, packing, and had nothing to do with the moving or storage of the boxes.
