Late crews and missed delivery windows in Dallas mover reviews

30 of 200 dated rows we hold for Dallas mention this, 15% of the set, as of 17 Sep 2026. Up to ten rows per mover. A mention is a phrase match, not a verdict; some rows say the opposite.

Rows that mention lateness, delay, or the delivery window. On an interstate move the window on the bill of lading is the promise, and reasonable dispatch is the rule.

What the rule says

  • The pickup and delivery dates or windows must be on the bill of lading. A window that was never written down cannot be enforced.
  • Reasonable dispatch, 49 CFR 375.601: the mover moves the goods inside the agreement without unnecessary delay.
  • If they will be late they must tell you, 375.605. Ask what they pay toward a hotel or essentials; some tariffs include a delay claim.

Interstate rules are FMCSA rules. A move inside one state follows that state, if it has a desk. This is not legal advice.

What you do this week

  1. 1Get the delivery window on the bill of lading before the truck loads, not after.
  2. 2Keep the first-night box in your car. A window is a plan and plans slide in summer.
  3. 3Ask for the delay or inconvenience claim terms in writing and keep receipts.
