When to book movers

For a US peak Saturday in June through August, four to eight weeks is the adult answer. February on a Tuesday can still be a two-week job. A quote with no survey is a guess you will pay for later.

Peak versus a Tuesday in February

May through August, plus month-end, is when trucks disappear. If your lease ends on a Saturday, book earlier than your optimism wants.

What booking actually means

A hold without a survey is not a booking. Written estimate, dates, and a name that matches the van. US interstate: binding, non-binding, or not-to-exceed, plus a USDOT.

UK completion day is a slot, not a vibe. If keys slip, ask what the waiting-time clock is before you celebrate the cheap figure.
