   Poor service; overcharged.

   I used Birch Circle Movers to move over six years ago. At that time, the owner was professional and his crew was excellent. I paid someone from his team to pack my kitchen and moved the next day. Unfortunately, my move on October 14th didn't nearly as well. I learned throughout my correspondence with this company that the owner was in New Hampshire for an extended period of time. The man who is managing the business is unprofessional and dishonest. I had no idea how bad this would prove to be. I said I didn't want to move if it rained to which the manager answered "First of all, it won't rain". It was in the forecast and I had no deadline as to when I had to be out of my residence. The crew showed up at my front door on the morning of October 14; it had started to rain and it rained non-stop for the rest of the day. I tried to call the manager to express my concerns but he did not call me back. The movers left boxes that they were supposed to take, they left a file cabinet and chair, and did not keep my lamp parts together. Everything was a mess. I was charged for supplies that they used because of the rain (cellophane wrap) even though I asked to postpone the move. I have moved many times throughout my life; never have I had such a bad experience. I requested that they credit me for the problems but they refused. Finally, the manager claims that I cancelled two different times when I only cancelled one time and it was more than a week ahead of the move. He is dishonest and disrespectful. When I spoke with the owner, he said they aren't supposed to move in the rain. He contradicted himself many times and will not credit me the amount I am asking for. I hope they go out of business soon before more people have to experience this kind of stress and expense. The owner said he doesn't think his manager has the personality to be a manager yet he left him in the position and did not honor or respect my wishes. He is still out of town.
