    Job Well Done & More.

Just wanted to put in a good word for the guys at Atlantic Xpress. Although not a large company, they handled themselves and more importantly handled my things with the utmost care and professionalism. Big contrast to the horror stories I've heard about some other companies my friends. I was worried that I'd have no one to help assemble a big cabinet I had moved but they came through, even stayed longer just to help me out. Very appreciated.

    Smooth Experience.

It's not easy picking up and moving a whole house halfway across the country. Having done it several times already (my husband is in the military) definitely made me wary of things taking a left turn. This time however everything went very smooth. My rep was helpful and a straight shooter. They did some very thorough packing of my vase collection and didn't have an attitude. Everything was on time and in one piece. Will be calling you again in the future! A+.

    Studio Move to San Jose.

Really happy with the way my move was handled. I took the plunge of moving cross-country after finishing school.. didn't have a lot of items but I did have some antique furniture pieces that have been in my family for ages and mean a lot to me. The guys who did the packing wrapped and loaded everything with care. Been burned by movers couple of times before but these guys did right by me.

    Sam Pierce.

Greetings. I want to make note about working with Sam Pierce. Our moves from Medford Or to Vancouver WA and from Reno NV to Vancouver WA went well because of Sam. He's professional and trustworthy. The company that he contacted to deliver our stuff tried to make changes to the agreement but Sam fought for us and was on our side all the way. I will recommend his company to everyone. Good luck Sam and God bless you.

    Great Service.

The good people at Atlantic Xpress Movers helped me with my move every step of the way. I had lived in one house for over twenty years and then decided to retire to the south land and had no idea of what was involved with packing up a lifetime of stuff but when it came time to send it on its way one call to Sam and his team and they took it from there. Truly a great experience for me as they took the stress out of my move.

    Response from Atlantic Xpress Movers

Thank you, Keith. Glad we could make your move a smooth experience. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

    BEWARE- Bait and switch!!

They underestimated my move purposely to win the contract and then sold it to another mover. These guys are brokers not movers. Upon discovering that they had underbid, and then knowingly sold to another mover who in the end was going to charge me even more because they were misinformed by Atlantic Express. I cancelled my package once I realized the scam and they would not refund any of my money though NO SERVICES were given. They kept ALL of my deposit though they had done nothing except get caught before they could steal more of my money. Since they kept my money without any product or service it is THEFT. They were totally defensive and confrontational when I cancelled. Numerous attempts by phone and email, only to be told with good luck with trying to get a refund.

    Zero Stars if I Could.

If you are expecting to pay only the estimate given to you by Atlantic Xpress and you want a professional mover, not a broker, I would highly suggest not using this company. I was given a binding estimate by Atlantic Xpress and was assured by them that the price would not change unless I loaded additional items not listed on the original inventory list. My wife and I went over the list multiple times with Patrick and Sam to ensure we had the most correct inventory and price. We were also supposed to get an onsite estimate by Sam and he never showed, called or emailed, despite claiming he did. On the day of the move the moving company which is subcontracted by Altantic Xpress tell me I've loaded more cubic feet, not items and that I need to pay nearly $2,000 more than my so called binding estimate from Atlantic Xpress. I dispute this and refuse to sign the paperwork only to be coaxed by Sam, the owner of the moving company and the supervisor into signing the paperwork, otherwise I would have had to unload the truck or take items off of the truck. I continue to dispute the price with Sam, and he tells me the original contract and estimate I have with Atlantic Xpress is no longer binding since I signed the other Bill of Lading (which legally isn't true). Also he continues to tell me that the binding estimate locks in a rate for the volume and fuel surcharge and that I loaded more cubic footage than estimated. This despite the fact that this is never disclosed up front, we were also told the price would only change if we loaded items not listed on the original inventory list and the Atlantic Xpress contract states clearly: "Your estimate price is guaranteed not to change unless you order additional services, add additional items, or additional cubic footage/weight to be moved which are not listed on the estimate." Both myself and Sam verified that I did not load additional items or cubic footage that wasn't listed on the original estimate. Finally I'm told I need to try and negotiate directly with the moving company because they don't agree to reduce the price, even though I contacted Atlantic Xpress and agreed on the price with them. The movers themselves were Citi Movers. The movers at origin were sloppy, left items in nearly every room that I had to pack myself, they broke a lamp in my dining room and didn't notify me, and used my own personal boxes I had purchased to pack my belongings. They also sent the movers to the wrong address for delivery. The only positive was Richard and his helper on delivery day. They were fast, professional, and did an excellent job despite being sent to the wrong address and showing up over 4 hours late. So again, if you are expecting an actual professional moving company and a truly binding estimate that won't suddenly change on the moving day, then I would highly recommend you not to choose Atlantic Xpress.

    Response from Atlantic Xpress Movers

Dallas, we offered you the option to inspect the loaded truck to show that indeed the cubic footage was an additional 440 c.f. over the initial estimate which you refused to do. We also offered to unload the items off the truck for you if you did not agree to the extra cost, which you also refused. We would have never agreed to be liable if you decided to unload the truck yourself and hurt yourself in the process. We also offered you to remove some items to get back to the original estimated cubic footage - also refused. We did not coax you into anything - we simply provided 3 clear options on how to proceed. You chose to sign the adjusted Bill Of Lading and proceed with the move, only to choose to dispute the cost afterwards In our Terms & Conditions it states that the estimate is not a legal contract. The legal contract IS the Bill of Lading, signed on pickup. We told you that legal contract has to be signed in person with a physical signature and not over the phone. We have asked you to provide specific dimensions of your items which you did not, leading to the miscalculated cubic footage on pickup. Meaning: even if you did not have additional items, the cubic footage still increased. The transfer of communication went from us speaking to your wife to you, as she left for France. We made attempts to reach out for the in-home estimate but must have been trying to you using her contact info while she was away. After your own return from France, which was after the loading day, you chose to dispute the charges. As we went back and forth for days disputing the price, we were still working in good faith to get you delivered on time on your requested day and did in fact do that. We also want to point out that your complaint with the BBB was denied and they did not hold us responsible. The BBB is an esteemed organization experienced in conflict resolution. Had they found us at fault they would have reprimanded us or at least even posted your complaint online. Our BBB profile remains with no complaints.
