   Great experience!

   The entire experience was absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend a better company for moving. Ben made the booking process so easy, explaining every detail so that there would be no surprises and getting me scheduled much more quickly than I thought possible. When Mario and his crew arrived they worked quickly and carefully to finish packing my house. The group clearly has worked together a long time and it was fun to be around them as they moved through it all. I was even able to work while they did everything. My realtor wanted me to leave some things in place for staging and they followed all my complicated instructions perfectly. They also put down materials to protect my floors and wrapped things carefully to protect anything from damage. I was originally scheduled for two days (one pack, one move) but the crew was so fast we were able to pack and move on the same day even with having to also pick things up from storage. When placing things in the new home they made sure things ended up where I needed them, and even waited for me to run and get a different dryer plug so they could finish setting that up. The whole crew was so polite, nice, and fun the entire time and I really enjoyed working with them. They truly made a normally stressful experience completely easy and smooth, all for a extremely reasonable price. They were referred to me by a coworker who also had the same glowing reviews. If you’re looking for movers, don’t hesitate and give them a call, they will take care of you!

   Black Tie Movers.

   I researched a few companies, I selected Black Tie Movers because of the quick response, availability, and competitive rates. I moved on Nov 1, the day time changes, they were even early! The guys let me know when they were on their way, when they arrived, assessed the environment, asked questions, quickly, professionally got the job done! Easiest move ever! Thank you Black Tie Movers.

   Would not recommend

   Black Tie movers were referred to me by a friend. I cannot recommend them to other. The estimate given upfront to get our business was low, but at the end of the move for a 1 bedroom apartment was almost $1000. They took a deposit at booking that should have been deducted and was not. Trying to contact them after the move is impossible. Nobody will return your call after they get paid.

   Very dissapointing move

   We had a very disappointing experience with Black Tie. First of all, when we called to get a quote, it was conveniently not mentioned that we should expect to pay an additional fee for "packing materials" used to move our items. This ended up costing us around $250 more than the initial quote. The individuals sent to move us were unbelievably careless, resulting in severe damage to our flat screen TV and several other items. We had specifically requested a TV box - and agreed to pay extra for it - to mitigate this risk which the movers conveniently forgot. Instead, they wrapped a $1,000 TV in a blanket and set it on the floor of the truck. Needless to say, both legs of the tv broke, the siding on the bottom was split, and the TV is completely useless now. Further, the individuals were incredibly lazy and slow, often times seen chatting by the truck instead of moving items. This resulting in a two bedroom apartment move taking 4 hours, ridiculous considering the majority of our items were moved out in 45 minutes. It was very apparent that they were "eating time" to try to get more $$ for the job. Furthermore, the team disappeared for an ENTIRE HOUR driving to our new home - what were were told was a quick "stop and grab drinks". For reference it takes about 10 minutes to drive between locations in medium traffic. Once they finally arrived, the entire team reeked of cigarette smoke - a smell that is still present in our new home as a result. All around, not a pleasant experience and not a company we will be recommending to friends and family.
