   BTR is the worst removal company we have worked with.

   We are in the middle of our move from UK to US. As per another review, the initial interaction with BTR was good. Once we had agreed on the quote, everything turned from bad to worse. Only 2 out of the 5 removals team showed up in the morning, the rest of the team came in around lunch time, again as per previous reviewer mentioned, they were totally disrespectful and walked out by 3:30 pm. The sign off was not explained properly and they left one of the big boxes behind and we had to run after the moving truck to ask them to pick it up. Once they left we realised things we had asked them to pack were not packed, some of them partially packed (1 shoe packed and 1 left behind). Delays in everything since. The shipment date has moved 2 times so far and the goods are supposed to be sent today. We only hope it will be shipped today and things will land safely. We regularly move countries and this is by far the worst movers ever. There is no proactive update, no process for complaint or escalation (when we asked to speak to their MD we were told he was on a holiday) and dates that seem to move to their whims and fancy with no explanation whatsoever. We feel completely at the mercy of this company. If you want to have a similar experience, please choose BTR International.

   Avoid these Movers.

   We had a good first experience with BTR as the delivery agent of our household goods shipment from the US in May 2011, but they were a nightmare on a local move in December 2012.   The crew was disrespectful, and management was inconsiderate.  The insurance/coverage for goods was not explained, was confusing, and ultimately, a big issue for us when the crew damaged several items during the move. Their office staff didn't seem to have the first clue.   After the move, BTR and their insurers refused to acknowledge our damage claim for a broken light and several items at first.  Then they said it was late and couldn't be considered.  When I pointed out that I had met their requirements for an extension, they told me I hadn't submitted the claim within 30 days and that I had not sent pictures.  (This was the first I had heard of both "requirements",)  It was clear they simply wanted to avoid paying my claims - and to think, I paid more than 200 for "insurance" over and above my local move cost of nearly 2,000.   The crew stayed in the truck overnight, but not before a night out and using our showers beforehand.  They overslept their alarms in the truck and we had to wake them up by beating on the truck at 0930.  They stopped working at 1600, with the job incomplete.   I couldn't discourage anyone more from using BTR.  Unprofessional, unethical, unseemly.  Your belongings and money won't be safe.  Choose anyone else.  One great example where you do not get what you paid for.
