   We got a quote from them of $1750 for moving our one bedroom stuff from houston to Tennessee and just 4 days before our moving we got a call from a different person and he asked for $2300 for the same amount of stuff that we got quoted for earlier. After that we decided that we will not move to Tennessee we’re just gonna move 5 min away from the apartment and they still wanted $2300 for moving 5 min away as well. We already gave them $1500 as a deposit and they picked our stuff as well but on the drop off day they said if we don’t pay the other $700 they won’t give our stuff back. So basically we paid $2300 just to move one bedroom apartment which was 5 min away. I would never recommend this company to anyone that I know. Please stay away from this company.

   Where is my moms stuff

   I am going to go to every review site and every place I can file a complaint. My moms belongings were picked up on July 29th. As of my writing this review we still do not have her stuff. These brokers hired some fly by night movers and then they do not take any sort of responsibility to fix it. The movers were late showing up in the first place, and they charged more than what was quoted. At this point, we have no idea where my mothers stuff is at. When you call “customer service” to find out what is going on (because that is required by the contract you sign), they do not answer the phone. I tried to email at the “info” number and got some garbage message back asking me for an M number and then nothing. These folks are a mess and please avoid at all costs. I am contacting the regulators in my state about them and I am also going to do the same with the movers.

   Horrible Experience from Every Aspect

   Avoid this company! The sales team assured me of a date the movers would show up and a date our things would be delivered to the new address. We were told the driver would be contacting us 2 days before the move date to let us know what time to expect them. No call from the driver. We were then told that we would receive a call from the driver the day before the move. No call from the driver. The day of the move we still have not heard from the driver and customer service cannot provide any information as to when they might arrive. At 3pm that day we are told that the driver will be there the following morning (a day late) and we will be getting a call from him with the time of arrival. No call from the driver. The following morning (already a day late) we are told that the driver will not be there until 3pm. At 3pm we have still not heard from the driver and customer service cannot give us an update. To summarize, the driver never showed up and we had to scramble to rent a UHaul and move ourselves. We were never given any explanation as to what happened and now are being told that they cannot tell us if/when we will be receiving our deposit back. I have never dealt with a company with worse customer service.

   FRAUD ALERT This company is a scam. They take your deposit and do not provide any moving services. Had a move booked and was told dispatch would contact us 24 hours prior to move. Never heard from anyone and called customer service multiple times with no answer.

   SCAM ALERT!

   DO NOOOOOT USE THEM! DO NOOOOT use the is company. I had problem after problem after problem. Jessica, who coordinates after the salesperson gets you to sign, was extremely unprofessional and not responsive. I gave specific dates from the start that were agreed upon, but Jessica then charged me $1,000 to “confirm that date and get things there when you want them.” And my stuff STILL showed up 3 days late. The company did not refund me the $1,000. In addition to that, the truck was supposed to arrive 2-5 on the pickup day and did not arrive until 10pm at night. I was there with them until 1am. Again, no refunds were made. This company is an absolute joke. The will continue to raise the price along the way while not delivering their end of the deal. Do yourself a favor and use literally anybody else. Oh! Ps: the salesman will brag that their DOT has no dings on it (which is true - looked it up myself) but that’s only because they use OTHER companies as soon as they get your money. Ran THEIR DOT and it was full of horrific reports.

   These guys are liars.

   This company is a fraud. They lie through their teeth to get the deposit then you’ll never get an answer after that. They missed our move date by 10 days and the actual movers that showed up charged me double insisting on cash only. Do not use this company I promise if you read this review I just saved you from a nightmare. I am so dissatisfied that I might write a review every week until I get tired of thinking about how bad this experience was. I wish there was more I could do to make these people feel the pain they inflicted on me and my family, guess they wouldn’t care any way.

   Long Distance Move from Worcester, MA to Frisco, TX.

   I would give a "0" rating if possible. We contracted with Coastal Transport for our moving from Boston, MA to Frisco, TX in April. The whole process appeared to be a "Bait & Switch" model, where they give a pretty low price for the move. And once you pay the initial deposit, the sales person mysteriously never picks up our calls anymore. For my move from Boston, I was quoted about $2700,(Bait). These guys are just brokers and will contract another company for the move. (Our move was contracted to Movers and packers relocation specialists). Here comes the switch. The guys came over and obviously started to create a ruckus stating that there are more boxes and additional items and we need to pay extra. They filled up the truck sparsely and write up a new contract that is almost more than double of what we agreed upon. Since we don't have any option, we ended up paying. Wait, this is only half of the story. We did not receive our stuff on the said date and it took an extra week, (that is understandable as it is a very long-distance move). But they guys who were supposed to deliver created another ruckus stating that the house is on the second floor and we were supposed to pay extra $300 (even though it was clearly written in the contract that moving charges include delivery to second floor, which I even verbally confirmed with Alex, before booking). I bargained with them for $200 and they delivered the stuff, which is missing four boxes and one king-size mattress ripped. The delivery guys asked to claim insurance. So I reach out the Claims department from the information they provided and filled out a claim. After thorough review of my claim, the Claims department said they are paying me $137. Mind you, this is for a torn king size mattress (see picture) and four boxes that have electronics and other stuff missing. As I was unhappy with the outcome, I reached out to Coastal Transport (since they were the one's I had my contract with), but they are asking me to reach out to the carrier, who in turn are asking me to reach out to Coastal Transport and I am being tossed around like a rag ball. Honestly I am so fed up with the whole process, that I intend to file a complaint against Coastal Transport with the Texas DMV.

    Stay Away!! - Really bad Eperience

    Stay away from these guys!! I have never posted a bad review and I am doing so now in hopes that I can save others from the total nightmare we went through. Our sales guy Patrick promised our movers would show up within a 48-hour window, they would present our paper work, show identification, take a full inventory, be waring matching uniforms, line the door ways to prevent damage and shrink wrap all large furniture items. What showed up, at 9.30 pm on a Saturday night, was two guys in an unmarked truck with no license plate. They were unable to provide a registration or proof or insurance for their vehicle. They did not have any paperwork, were wearing crocks, did not take an inventory and were not prepared to shrink wrap large items Now 10:15 at night and fatigued by the whole process, we decided to continue with the move if they would allow the police at least confirm their identity and ownership of the truck. As soon as they heard the word Police, they removed the few items they had loaded and drove off. Though out our 48-hour window, we attempted to call and email Coastal Transport to obtain confirmation of the name of the driver and specifics of who would be handling our move. Those calls and emails were not returned. On Monday, after renting truck, hiring local loaders and driving 900 miles, I called Coastal Transport to see what happened. After several calls and recanting my story, I was finally told by Alex, the Manager, that they would not be returning our deposit because we refused to let them load the truck. Before you even consider hiring these guys you need to ask yourself if legitimate movers show up at 9.30 at night, with no ID, in an unmarked truck with no license plate?
