    The absolute worst. Stay away!

Actually, it is very difficult to write a review of CR7 Moving because the service was so unbelievably horrible, and the furniture damage and financial loss were so extensive, it is not easy to express. Aftwr more than one year after my cross-country move from Brooklyn, NY to Los, Angeles, CA, I still look at the tremendous damage that CR7  caused to my furniture: a newly purchased platform bed, dining room set, and sofa bed, and several bookshelves that were in perfect physical condition until in the hands of CR7. First, CR7 and whichever moving broker who sends them to do your move, will certainly take advantage of you by doubling the price of the estimate. Estimates should be close to the original price quoted, not 100% more on the day of the move. It's certainly a financial kick-back scheme, of which I'm sure that CR7 would deny, but it is. CR7 takes advantage of the circumstance that you have agreed to relinquish your apartment or sell your home; therefore, you have to move and have no choice but to pay. When I look at things in retrospect, I would have been better-off by remaining in place and suffering the consequences of not moving, instead of incurring the massive financial loss and damage to my furniture. I just did not know how horrible CR7's moving service would be. In fact, the movers were inexperienced and novices at packing, disassembling, and reassembling furniture and personal items. It seemed as if the movers were just given a moving job without any training or experience. ALL of my furniture was poorly disassembled and poorly packed with little to no padding, leading to severe damage to newly purchased furniture. Also, during the move-out day, the movers caused damage to my building's elevator, and instead of informing me, disposed of broken parts of the elevator in my apartment building's trash. CR7 ignored the issue when addressed to them by phone or email. Additional, my clothes, particularly business attire, jackets and coats, were thrown into what was supposed to be garment boxes in which I paid for. To make matters worse, their staff searched through the boxes at some point and stole expensive clothes. One would think that for the excessive amount CR7 charges for storage, that your items would be well taken care of. It was not. It took several months for me to receive all of my items, and some were never delivered or were finally delivered with missing parts. When I received my belongings, it looked as if it had been through a storm. Neatly packed items in brand new boxes looked a total mess and were filled with broken items. Absolutely unacceptable and unbelievable! Of course, CR7 would state that it offers insurance but the insurance does not nearly cover damages, missing items and stolen clothes in the least when coverage is based solely on the weight of items. Full coverage was not even discussed or offered simply because CR7 doesn't want to be obligated to pay it. Still, the main purpose of hiring a mover is not to have to file insurance claims for your items, it is to have your items delivered in the best possible condition, or for them to reach its intended destination and not be lost without any reasonable explanation as to what happened to them. CR7 failed miserably. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT. I STILL REGRET IT. ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCES EVER AND A HUGE FINANCIAL LOSS FOR ME!

    Worst Company Ever! Run Away!

I've moved 4 times in the last 8 years and never dealt with a more terrible company in my life! Quote to move cross country went from 12k to 20k and a lot of my stuff was damaged. Took 2 months for my goods to arrive which they claimed they did me a favor and kept it in storage for me for free. NO ONE EVER COMMUNICAYED THIS TO ME! We called every week and got the same message "We are loading the truck now and it will leave in 3 to 6 days. They can say whatever they want in their defense, but what this boils down to, is just being a terrible company.

    Broken and destroyed more money

Multiple items broken or destroyed. One whole box of stuff in pieces, fragile boxes dented and smashed, a leather ottoman left with sticky tape residue that won't come off and the tape was so tight it dented the sides. Broke my daughters bike was broken when the bike was dropped from the truck to the ground(as we watched) the change of trucks and only one guy showing up to unload the whole truck was shady too.

    Overcharged: Scammed by Forman

Forman said my couches were too large and I would need to buy more space. I asked if I could pack myself, he said it was liability issue, but It was really just a scam. I took photos of how he packed my furniture vs how the furniture arrived. They repacked it more efficiently after they left. I would like a refund for the additional space I paid for.

Response from CR7 Moving and Storage

Hello Noah, We have tried to reach you several times by phone but couldn't contact you. As you can see in the photos, it is a different truck; the one we used at pick up was considerably smaller than the one at delivery, that’s why our team couldn't fit your items the way you wanted to. If you have any more questions, please email us at Cr7moving@gmail.com

    Borderline Criminal Behavior

Avoid both Discount Van Lines and CR7 Moving and Storage. DVL quotes around $3500, calls again and they raise the quote to around $4400. I figure 'OK, too much going on to get caught up on $1000 right now'... BIG MISTAKE. CR7 arrives with a rental and proceeds to double the quote, threatening to just drive off if I don't agree. The quote was complete garbage, but they catch you with your pants down at this point. I had a major move with over a month of planning, airline tickets, utilities, everything. I pay the extra $4000 they want or my whole life gets tipped upside-down. Throughout this whole process the person walking me through the contract deliberately LIED to me, telling me only what I wanted to hear. I'm very busy so I sign each page not realizing that there's all this garbage hidden away in the tiny text. I wanted a delivery date, they say 'YES OF COURSE 100%!'. The text says 'we have 30 days... business days'. He tells me I need to sign an area to have basic insurance on my items, so I sign. Then I look over it later and realize that it actually WAIVES the default insurance that I was NOT INFORMED ABOUT AT ALL. The contract also says payment must be made before delivery and unloading, which is ILLEGAL. 100% grade A illegal. At least they didn't jack the price up a 4th time... The people loading my stuff had no idea what they were doing, tossing my boxes and handling them like wrestling opponents for no good reason. Literally expending more energy than it would take to gently and respectfully move other people's boxes. So the stuff arrives LATE, at least it was only a few days, but it threw a massive wrench into our plans. My desk was WWE smashed and dragged all over the place. This is a nice tough desk and it has a great big dent in it and it creaks when it didn't before! At least my monitors made it but only because I triple wrapped them in super heavy duty bubble wrap from home depot. My computer chair was clearly dragged along a dirty floor. Someone put out a cigarette on my tower fan and then shoved it inside the fan grill. My mini-fridge may not even work, it has a massive impact that ripped through the plastic wrap and the paint AND scratched the metal. Half of my boxes had obvious damage. All of my expensive baby gates had been dragged all over the place and are all horrible scuffed. One of my premium folding chairs was smashed so hard that it's missing a foot. Those suckers are rated for 350 pounds, how do you even possibly break the foot off of that?! Sheer incompetence is how. Stay far away from these two companies, they don't give a crap about you or your stuff. I'm lucky that I put all my super important stuff in my car to be driven down by the in-laws, otherwise they could've destroyed so much more.

    Missing items

I moved last year and my experience was horrible. They tried to over charge me but I stood my ground and they received an additional $500 only to show up with half of my things, a broken television, and bed frame. I’ve contacted this company CR7 over the last 13months and no one has responded. I had items in the missing boxes that have sentimental value from my late mother. I just hate that they get away with this unfair treatment. Do no use them.

Response from CR7 Moving and Storage

Hello Terrie, We are sorry for the inconvenience, we can't repair the sentimental value of your items, however we can open a claim for you. We tried to communicate with you by phone with no response. To resolve this matter please send us an email to Cr7moving@gmail.com

    Thieves

i was assigned to CR7 by Homesafe Transit, an online moving broker. I had a firm quote for a partial load. From the moment the truck arrived, the driver made it clear that he was going to charge me more. While I had calculated the volume of my boxes (below the minimum) he inflated it to increase my cost by $700. He told me to sign the documents or he would unload the truck and leave my goods on the street. I was told to pay the excess on delivery; I was 1500 miles away when the delivery day. They called and demanded payment by Venmo or Zelle as the truck arrived. I used Zelle but it had a daily limit of $500. The CR7 representative was very abusive demanding that I some how come up with the extra money or he would take my goods away. I finally found away but I will never use CR7 or Homesafe again. As the other reviewer said, they deserve negative stars.

Response from CR7 Moving and Storage

Hello Richard, I apologize for the inconvenience during your move. The Price arrangement is strictly based on cubic feet, if the customer surpasses the cubic feet that was listed then the price will increase as well. Your estimate was 286cf the reason the price was raised was that you had more items at the pickup that you have state in your estimate that increase your space to 359cf

    Do not use !!!!

Do not use this company!! They ruined every piece of furniture I had!!! They were rude and unprofessional! Tried to overcharge me also. All custom oak wood furniture was ruined. They came without blankets to cover furniture and placed tape directly on items which made the paint peel. The bottom of the wood was all chipped from the banging they did. DO NOT USE!!!! I would give negative stars!!

NEVER USE CR7 ESPECIALLY FOR MILITARY MOVE

Signed contract with CR7 6/3/2021 for 680 cubic feet/ approximately $3,100 to move me from Connecticut to North Carolina scheduled for pick up 10/4/2021 to include storage and then delivery in NC 11/1/2021. Estimate went up 950 cubic feet approximately $5000 once I gave them exact box count with dimensions. When arrived at my house told me I had way more than the quoted amount even though I gave exact box dimensions and counts. Had no other options and was ultimately charged for 1800 cubic feet and was charged $10,690. Delivery date of 11/1 was confirmed on 10/29. Didn't hear from anyone until I called several times on 11/1 and was told driver didn't have right clearance to drive out of state so wouldn't be there until 11/2. Called on 11/2 and finally heard back at 3 oclock that driver was injured and would not be there until 11/3 late in the day. At 6PM on 11/3 was told they would be there at 8AM 11/4. At 12PM 11/4 began calling both the driver and the owner neither of whom answered me until 1:30PM. I was then told he would arrive at 3:30PM not 12. At 3:30PM, when no one was there I called the driver and was told he was almost to NC I reminded him that I needed a weight ticket in NC to complete my military reimbursement. He said no problem. An hour later he called and said he was 15 minutes out and needed an address for a weigh station. I did not know of a weigh station because I thought he would use a weigh station on the highway as they had in Connecticut. I quickly sent him to a landfill where he was told they couldn’t weigh trucks of that size. At this point, I called the owner and tried to explain. He wouldn't answer so I called several times in a row. Once he finally answered he began screaming and cursing at me so I hung up. At 6PM driver got there and demanded payment before even showing us the truck had our items. When they began to unload the only helper was wearing flip flops. when we asked about other shoes he said he was fine with the flip flops. As a result of this incompetency, my husband began to unload our items because he was able to do it faster and safer. Each item that was packed had room labels on to show where the item was to go in however, when I tried to tell them which rooms were which, the driver told me that they weren’t going to use the labels they needed me to stand outside the truck and read each label and show his helper where the item belonged. This was another reason my husband continued to unload items because he didn’t have to wait for me to tell him where items went. Once all the items were in the house it became clear that they had not been well taken care of. All of the wardrobe boxes were crushed and falling apart, they dropped and destroyed our toolbox, so tools were going everywhere in the truck, our coffee table had several deep scratches, everything was dusty and dirty, both mattresses that had been put in mattress bags by the movers in Connecticut (I provided the bags as instructed by First National) had dirt/mud spots on them, and my adjustable height desk now only adjusts on one side. When they went to remove the moving blankets and protective wrap, they hadn’t brought any knives or scissors, so I had to find some in our boxes for them to use. Additionally, part of the contract was to put the furniture back together that was taken apart, however, they didn’t have any tools so they had to unpack and use our tools as well. Eventually, all the items were put together, the final paperwork was signed, and they went to leave. My husband walked them out and the driver then asked him for tip money for him and his helper which seemed very inappropriate to me with the way the process unfolded.

    Worst movers Ever

I don't know how these people can even stay in business. I moved from NH to FL and they said that because they had trucks in both locations they could give me a good deal. That good deal changed really quickly. Once they arrived to start packing they told me it was going to cost more money just to start. The driver charged me an extra 1,300 for him and his partner separately from the price. Said it was his fee for helping me out and that he couldn't load my stuff until I agreed to pay it. Then there was thousands of dollars in damages when they arrived at my new place and they wanted more money just to bring it in my house. Then I tried to file a claim and nothing. No one got back to me no one answered my phone calls, emails, nothing. It's like they just vanished. I even filed a claim with the better business bureau and nothing happened there either. I say if you have a choice choose someone else.
