   I moved from Lima, Ohio to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and chose Fresh Start Relocation due to their plcompetitive price and how thorough they were with the services they provided. On the day of the move 3 guys showed up and got to work immediately. They were very efficient and gentle with my fragile furniture. Once they arrived in Fort Lauderdale they put together everything and placed it exactly where I needed it! No damages and well worth the price! I highly recommend using them for their services if you want a quality move.

   I'm a student and I moved from Florida to Georgia. My initial price was 2000$ I had to pay an additional 250$ for packing rather than that everything was perfect! Kenny the forman was very nice and helpful. I had a good experience with Fresh Start Relocation! Thank you, guys.

   Amazing team.

   Talk about a life saver.. I couldn't image having made this move without Fresh start. The movers were on time, polite, and quick. Once on the road all of my belongings made it to my new home safely and on the designated date. I would definitely recommend them to anyone making a long distance (or even short distance) move. Thank you again.

   Overall I had a great experience with this company. From the first guy that I spoke to the customer service person that I dealt with, everyone has been very helpful. I received a quote and when the guys came to load it did increase a bit because of packing but I was aware that it would. They loaded everything in a few hours did a great job. I was ready for delivery a week after they picked me up and I got my stuff 10 days later. This worked out well also. The delivery crew was good and put everything where I asked them to. So, all in all the move was great. From Freddy my pick up guy to Anna my Customer Service person everyone was great. I will recommend them to anyone that is moving.

   They asked if they could move me a day early due to the bad weather moving in.This was during the polar vortex freeze and ice and snow.I hurried up to get the final things packed. I left immediately after to drive south. I gave them a move in date and thought things would be fine.I had a few questions and try to call my representative and left messages. I tried calling the company and couldn’t get through.I figured it was because it was a weekend. Monday I finally got a hold of my representative and was told my furniture was still in Ohio and due to the weather they couldn’t tell me when I would get my furniture.A week later I received a call that they were leaving Ohio and hoped to be here on Monday.I was very worried since I paid all the costs already instead of the balance due on arrival.The guys both loading in Ohio and unpacking here were wonderful and so helpful.They need a raise.my only complaint is I gave a tip in my payment to the company and was told the company doesn’t pass it along.Lesson learned I guess.There was a lot of unfortunate circumstances but all in all the move was a great one.Thank you all.My estimate was exactly what I was told

   Taking a chance by writing this as I have not received my items yet.

   And judging by these reviews my truck will not be here for weeks. ---- I am in the middle of my move with you and everything possible has gone wrong so far. I should not say anything yet because you will leave my items on the road. Jacob Garcia is who sold this to me. He won't respond to my emails texts or voicemails. I have already been charged $1500 more than I was quoted. They held my items in warehouse for a week and now they are telling me it could take up to 14 days ( Chicago to DC). I was told it would take 3 days and cost $1900. Now it's 3 weeks and over $3000. And I told Jacob I lost my job which is why I am moving and this is what he set me up for?? When I questioned the doubling of what I was quoted Sherry said I am sending the truck back to drop off your boxes and hung up on me! Even though I paid what she asked, they sat in warehouse for 5 days before being dispatched and now say it could take up to 14 days to go 700 miles. Please deliver my house! ?

   ZERO STARS IF I COULD!

   JUST DONT DO IT!! If you want to save your time, money, stress and getting CURSED out by the OWNER, just run!! The positive reviews are all fake. They give you a reasonable quote and at the offload point they will DOUBLE it, claiming its for a transportation surcharge of 18% of the TOTAL along with other fees and taxes on top of the increased rate. They don't send you a full contract in your initial estimate, so you won't see it until you sign the papers when the movers come to take your stuff. NO WHERE in the contract has the 18% surcharge, so they can say and charge you anything at the end of the day. Paid $600 more than the initial quote. TERRIBLEE customer service. Bobbi the manager screamed at us and the owner Shawn Thompson cursed us out and told us to "f*cking listen, or we'll just bring your sh*t back to our warehouse" and "go get a tutor so you can learn to read". RUNNNNN as fast as you can! They need to be shut down

   I wish I had done my due diligence prior to scheduling a move with this company! If I could give 0 stars, I would! I contacted this company in the beginning of April to inquire about scheduling a move with them for the end of May. I explained that the move was unexpected and that I was in treatment for stage IV breast cancer, and I needed to make sure that things went smoothly bc of my physical limitations. I also let them know that my sofa/loveseat were oversized and that the doors had to be taken off to get them into the apartment, so they would probably need to be taken off to get them out of the apartment. I was assured that all their movers were professional, and that it wouldn't be an issue. Also, my new apartment wouldn't be ready for some time. They explained that they had their own storage facility, and that my belongings could be stored there until my new apartment became available. They even included 60 days free storage as part of their quote. I was assured that my move would be worry free, that my furniture and my mattress would be wrapped before being transported. The date of my move was scheduled for May 29, 2021 between an 8-10 am arrival. I was required to put down a $100 deposit to secure my date and time slot. By noon on moving day I still had not heard anything from the company as to when they planned on arriving. This was on Saturday on Memorial Day weekend, so I called their dispatch office to inquire about when the truck would arrive at my apartment. After about a 15 minute hold I was told that the storage unit was not going to be ready and they rescheduled for the following day. Sunday morning rolled around and the moving truck with the two movers arrived at 9:35 am. Right off the bat, neither gentleman introduced themselves to me. So, I showed them the living room and the master bedroom where everything had been boxed up into plastic totes, and was ready to go. They began work at 9:45. I ran into the first issue within the first 5 minutes when they tried to move an oversized stuffed chair out of the master bedroom, but it didn't fit. I explained that they probably needed to remove the door by popping the pins off the hinges so that they would have the room they needed to get the chair out the door. Both guys looked at me like I was asking them to perform heart surgery! They said it wasn't something they were supposed to do. Because I am still healing from my double mastectomy, I was not supposed to lift anything heavy or twist my body. They stated that the had to call their boss, and I agreed. Once the manager got on the phone she was extremely rude and condescending. She said that it wasn't their job to remove the doors. I explained that I could not do it because of my medical issue, and she eventually told them to be helpful. When I came around the corner, the one guy had started to unscrew the door hinges. I told him to stop and that it was easier and quicker just to pop the pins. Without saying a word, he walked away! I was forced to take the door off myself. The next issue became immediate when they attempted to move the sofa without wrapping it first, which transferred paint to the leather. They moved 3 totes, and then came back for the queen-sized mattress. They moved the mattress out, but after 5 minutes failed to come back in the apartment. I walked outside to find them making fun of me bc my mattress had a water stain from my elderly father trying to steam clean it immediately after I had finished my first round of chemo. Once they returned, they moved the box spring and nightstand, and once again failed to return. After about 10-15 minutes, I went outside to find them in the truck. I asked them if I was being charged for what amounted to them basically sitting on the job. It was at this time they said they were terminating the move bc it was "unsanitary". I was honestly so exasperated and overwhelmed by this point that when they said their boss would be in touch and that my deposit would be returned, I just said okay, and they left. I never heard from this company again. We managed to find another company who accommodated our last-minute move, and my daughter was able to be present bc I had chemotherapy to attend. We ended up spending $900 over what we were quoted through Moving Giants. Due to my medical treatment schedule, I didn't think to check my bank account until after I was moved in to my new apartment. When I realized my deposit hadn't been returned, I called the company, explained what had happened and requested it be returned. I was then told that bc the conditions were "unsanitary", they would be keeping my deposit. I wish I could say something positive about this company, but every step of the way they have shown themselves to be utterly unprofessional and completely unethical. The gentlemen they sent did not know what they were doing, were rude & unprofessional, as was their boss. BUYER BEWARE! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!

Company USDOT number is 3403973. This company goes by several names this should be a big hint. I wish I had done my research before hiring. Was given contract for on price day before the changed price to late to call someone else. Run away from this company! Cost us a fortune plus damage to our belongings.

    Don’t Do It

    OMG! Hiring Fresh Start Moving & Storage was a HUGE mistake!! My move was from Clermont, FL to Tavares, FL & I’ll keep it simple. Shawn absolutely misrepresented the fees on the phone! When presented with the new pricing (while my items were held hostage on the moving truck), I repeatedly asked him too explain my sudden $201 increase in costs (I was seriously confused) he said he’d explain once more, then he was going to hang up!!! How rude, disrespectful and different from the gregarious salesman who talked me into disregarding the awful reviews I saw online...I was stunned!!! Don’t be fooled or charmed!! Ask about the $100 surcharge! Be sure to ask what your “estimated travel charges”, Fuel, Tax & Mileage will be!! If you have a small move, there is a 3 hour min., so don’t fall for the 2 hour min + 1 hour travel line! Admittedly, everything is in the contract, but you’ll believe the promises you were told and sadly sign thinking it reflects the conversation you’d had...YOU’LL BE WRONG! Trust the reviews! I hate to write negative reviews. However this was just too much! Find an upfront, professional, transparent, respectful, moving company!!! If you are in a situation that calls for relocation, you don’t need the additional stress that WILL accompany your move if you hire Fresh Start Moving & Storage. I was a fool that DID NOT LISTEN to those before me!! YOU DON’T WANT TO MAKE THAT SAME MISTAKE! If you don’t listen, PLEASE say in your misery filled review that you should have listened to “J” & my sympathies in advance:\
