   Moving

   One of the worst moving experiences I've ever encountered. Broke furniture.They understaffed my move. Two movers for a 2 bedroom condo on the fourth floor with no elevator. Damaged my floor in my new home. And denied my claim.

   DO NOT USE! Original quote looked very reasonable but movers deliberately taking their time, (ex: texting by truck instead of loading) so therefore inflating the final amount substantially. Not a proper moving truck as no lift gate or ramp so everything hand lifted. Quick to move belongings from apartment only to just pile them up in hallway by elevator, unattended (in very sketchy neighbourhood). Deliberately driving slow to new location (1 1/2hr drive became an over 3hr drive). Poor packing in truck as well as storage unit. Apparently, annoyed other customers at storage unit. Left some belongings on a dolly in a hallway & left. If we hadn't done a double check, belongings would be gone. Movers very judgemental of location. Management refusing anything other than to admit there have been previous complaints against these movers. No receipt or invoice. Please pay that bit more for better quality company.

   RUN!

   Get Movers has zero integrity and absolutely DESTROYED our belongings. Throughout the entire process, the customer service representatives (Sharoni), on site crew members, as well as company supervisors (Victor) intentionally misguide customers and then do not return calls/emails. A complete failure in customer support. The company was notified that there was a fight between the crew members at origin that resulted in our belongings being thrown from the truck in a dispute based on lack of loading experience. The crew arrived completely unprepared with limited packing supplies and asked the customers to supply packing wrap. Not to mention the cigarette burns in our couch cushions from the crew smoking in the truck. The crew mentioned the truck from not packed properly and that he would better wrap our belongings once unloaded at the warehouse so that they could be better protects while in storage; however, this never happened. Absolutely zero respect. Completely unprofessional. The crew leader as well as a company supervisor was made aware of the damages as they were inspected and unloaded from the truck at the destination. The crew was late. We were told that there was nothing Get Movers could do because the office was closed, but don’t worry since they have insurance, and to call customer service the following morning at 10AM for further instruction rather than directing us to the proper company protocols. Get Movers said we never notified the company of any damages, which ultimately resulted in our claim being denied. The allegation that we did not notify the company of damages is absolutely false as the mishandling, lack of care and respect for our belongings was acknowledged by customer service from the point of origin. This company is untrustworthy and corrupt.

   Get Movers Oshawa-DON'T HIRE!!!

   ***WARNING***. Please be warned about Get Movers. I had a move recently and the team did a fine job, but after I paid and tipped them, they smashed my car when leaving and failed to remain at the scene. Even after filing a police report they refused to take responsibility and have told me that they subcontracted the truck and it's not their problem. They won't even give me the plate number of the truck for my police report. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS BELOW OF THE DAMAGE. I have the whole incident on video and still they don't act. My car is now in the shop with a lot of damage and they act like it's not a big deal. Save yourself the headache and use a different company!

   No show, no call, on moving day!

   I scheduled them, confirmed on the phone, and paid the deposit only to have no one show up to help us move. No call saying they were going to be late. I ended up calling customer service, who was unable to locate the movers who were supposed to come. 4 hours after the scheduled pick up, 1 hour after I called asking for help they call back saying that "The truck broke down" AND "The driver lost his phone". There are two people per truck btw... so explain to me how that works. What a nightmare. What was supposed to be my gift to my family (getting them moved out) ended up being done by myself and my girlfriend 4 hours after we originally wanted to start moving. This company is a joke, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or risk yourself getting hurt. 0/5 honestly I wish them the worst.
