   Adequate for our needs, pleasant staff.

   We used Glass City movers recently and the things that were moved were moved without damage and the gentlemen were courteous and pleasant during moving day. They did work to try and save us money and worked hard, so for that reason I would still use them again, if needed. My complaints are below in no particular order: 1) there were many items left at our original home location, that should have been moved causing us to make 2 trips to get the rest of our stuff and haul ourselves. There were items that we were advised on move day that would not be moved, I.e pots with soil, any equipment with gasoline in it etc., but next to the pots with soil were many items that they left behind and there were boxes and additionally clothes in the house left because the estimated wardrobe boxes were all used. I am not sure how we were supposed to know how many we would need those were all calculated in the original quote. 2.) They left empty pop cans, cigarette butts and a partially opened candy. This probably bothered us the most. 3) Tips? We thought that it was odd and inappropriate that the movers asked for tips and further asked that we not add it to our credit card because "the boss will never pass it on to us". Apparantely,he was asking for cash tips. 4) Things were not put in appropriately labeled rooms: such as Kitchen items found in other rooms such as a bedroom. I would recommend that you supervise closely and not expect that instructions will be consisitently followed.

   Misrepresentation of price, service & timeframe.

   A moving broker, Perennial Van Lines of Florida, had this company contact me and arrange to pick up & deliver my belongings. They immediately tried to escalate the price from what was quoted. No delivery date was provided, despite multiple phone calls. This company refused to provide an estimated delivery date for more than two weeks. When they finally did so, they wanted twice the quoted price to deliver my belongings. Their estimated delivery date is more than a month from the pickup date for a move of less than 600 miles.

   Beyond Dissapointing.

   The most disappointing experience I have ever had. The crew of 2 showed up an hour and half late due to a broken down truck, and that set the bar for the rest of the day. 2 movers were sent to move our belongings - in a 2.5 hour time frame all that had been moved were 3 dressers, 2 night stands and a mattress. There were more cigarette breaks being taken (on the truck with our furniture) than work being done. Cigarette butts were left all over our driveway in fact. When we asked the movers why things were taking so long they were extremely combative and argumentative with us - us the PAYING customer. After numerous calls to the office and speaking with the owner - we decided to ask them to just stop and we would have to move items ourselves as we were being charged by the hour. The owner did not like this and threatened to not give us our belongings back that were already on the truck!! We were charged $450 and the few items they had moved were left in our driveway. Never in my existence have I seen such poor business practices. I was truly horrified and felt extremely "taken". I had actually used Glass City in the past and had positive experiences - but they have lost my business permanently and that of everyone I know. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy as clearly their motto is taking people for everything they can and not even doing the job they were hired to do. Beyond disgusted and disappointed.

   Glass City Movers.. Never do business with them.

   Glass city movers   I moved on November 14, 2014 with Glass City movers and the reason I am writing this review is that my experience was not a pleasant one for the following reasons:   1. Employees were so careless carrying the furniture and throw it in the truck or drop it in the truck in a very unprofessional way. As consequences, they broke one side of my bed.    2. They were very careless and reluctant when they uninstalled my bed, they were about to lose an important part of the bed that they had forgotten on the floor and I had to run after them to check on them in every step of the process and watch what they were doing. I could not trust them.   3. I called several times John Pastrikos and left a message several times to fix my bed or to give me a refund (as this is their responsibility) but no one returned my calls.   4. I asked the movers several times to wrap and cover the furniture before they move it out of the house but they never listened to my instructions. They should professionally cover the furniture before moving it to protect it from the dust, scratches or any damage if they want to get the job right but they don't do it that way.   5. Movers were so reluctant and slow to get the job on time and the reason is very obvious is to charge me more as they charge per hour rate.   I did not like the service with glass city movers and I definitely do not recommend them to any body and I will never do any other business with them.   Thank you, Sally Afram, MBA 419-320-2301.

   Don't use.

   These people are crooks. They overloaded the weight on trucks by not getting fuel before initial weight in. They take initials weight without fuel and no gas. They then pick up your furniture and then fill up on fuel. When they get to your destination for 2nd weight in the top off fuel causing you to be over in weight! Works like a charm, the Company also uses delay tactics on refunds in hopes you will forget about it! Scammers do not use.
