   This Company Exploits Customers, Calls Them Idiots

   Using Handle with Care Moving to move from Nashville to LA was the worst mistake I ever made. Please don't make the same mistake. They quoted me a price of $2,233.45. Upon pickup, they added a few hundred dollars worth of charges, but I was expecting that. Then, I agreed to pay 50% of the remaining balance (after already paying a $583 deposit), and would pay the other 50% upon delivery. I paid $971.43 over Zelle, expecting to pay the exact same amount ($971.43) upon delivery. Two weeks go by without me hearing anything about when my stuff will arrive. Then I get an email informing me that my current balance is $1,693. They added an extra $722 without explaining the charges and insisted I pay $893.98 or they wouldn't deliver my stuff. I emailed back asking for an explanation of the added charges. A customer service rep, Brittany, called me back and tried to explain it, but couldn't. She said she'd look into it and call me back. It took over a week to get the call back (apparently her boss was on vacation). I asked if there had been any changes in the charges, not wanting to pay more than the amount on the contract I had signed. She said no, I still owed the $1,693. I asked if her boss was there, she transferred me to her boss Eli. Eli proceeded to read off a list of charges adding them up one by one to explain the amount. It still doesn't add up to me, but he claimed "any idiot with a calculator could figure this out," calling me an idiot over the phone, then insinuating that I was trying to rip his company off. He boiled the whole mess down to miscalculations on the driver's behalf. He also said I will not have my stuff delivered until I pay the remaining balance and that if I didn't, they would start charging me a storage fee in the next week. It was truly the worst customer service I've ever had. This company has done nothing but cause headaches and frustration. They are crooked and will overcharge you. Hang on to that contract you signed tight, but don't count on it saving you. They don't care about contracts. They just care about exploiting customers to turn a maximum profit. Will never use their services again and would not recommend them even to my worst enemy.

   1st interaction is great then it is horrible

   I hired this moving company back last year. I closed on my house on April 19th. They were supposed to show up on Tuesday April 17th or Wednesday April 18th to get my stuff to be moved to Tx. They were a no show and they wouldn't return my call. I had friends on standby to rent a uhaul if they didnt show up Thursday. They finally showed up on Thursday at 5:00 pm, well after after my closing. Thankful I had an amazing buyer. They charged me more money stating the estimate was too low, kicker was...I didnt have everything being moved that I had in the estimate. When the moving company delivered my stuff to Tx. I had a lot of damage and missing items. I put in the claim through their 3rd party. That was a nightmare. The 3rd party sent Handle with Care the finalized claim and Handle with Care never sent the check... If you like your belongings and you want them all delivered safely and on an agreeed upon schedule... DO NOT USE THEM!!!

   Everything you see on others about being scammed is true. Happened to me! I was scammed by the company they work on with name The Best State to State Movers. Will be filing a police report with all of their names, every phone number, every email. I have contacted the local news in each state they do business in. They are a bunch of scammers!

   Let's just put it like this... it has been since February 17,2022 and I still have not received my items. I am currently in communication with 10 other consumers that have been defrauded by this company and we are seeking a Class Action Lawsuit. Fraudulent companies such as these MUST be stopped. But nothing will be done if you do not contact your local Attorney General's Office. Filing a complaint with the NCCDB, FMCSA, and Consumer Affairs proved to be futile because if the company is not registered, they close the case as unresolved and people continue to be defrauded. But do NOT let that stop you. STILL FILE and call all of those entities to start a trend and build a case. I have had enough of this. Losing $1,300 in cash and over $6,000 in personal and Government property (which is a Federal crime) is unacceptable. Laws HAVE to be changed regarding moving company scams. And it would be gravely helpful if everyone who has suffered under the hands of these fraudulent corrupt companies could come together in pursuit of justice.    The worst moving experience with moving company Handle with care

   Handle with care, Georgia based moving company,is a very very bad moving company. It is the worst moving company you don’t want to hire. First of all once they take your deposit which is half of the moving cost they will hardly answer your phone call. They will initially give you big discount to get your business but the way they will hai your move is going to be one of the worst experience of your life. We did not receive so many items we packed and they loaded in their moving truck. We had them unloaded the truck in to Public storage in North Carolina after a month from they picked up all the boxes and bags and all the other items. After about a year when we bought the house in North Carolina and brought all the stuff back from public storage facility which was secured pretty good during the time of storage we are now missing so May items we had packed in boxes and luggage bags. At least 3-4 boxes of stainless steel pots and pans and some small kitchen appliance like a new countertop microwave which we got as gift from a relative and we had packed some kitchenware like expensive pots and pans sets and glass ware and Pyrex glassware sets. A game board called Carrom, at least 4-5 big plant stands and some luggage bags of costly Indian dresses and accessories. Please please please never ever hire these Handle with care movers because you will lose more money then you think. You are not going to save anything at all. They also broke some items like they broke my dyson vaccum and a storage bin that I can’t use any more. They will find a way to steel and brake your stuff. If we didn’t move our stuff almost year later after they dropped if my off in To public storage, we would have found out all this things earlier and we would write this earlier but we just moved two months ago and found out we are missing lots of stuff that these moving company stole. Now they won’t even answer the phone because they know they stole our stuff. Very first time when I called few days ago to let them know we are missing lots of items they they picked up and didn’t deliver the lady said at the other end it’s too late now and I told her we just moved to our home because we just bought the home. She asked me to hold and never came back on the phone for over 30 minutes and I got tired of waiting and hung up. I also called I believe is the owner of this company name Eli and he never picks up his phone. Never ever use this moving company because they will steal, they Will tear and they will do whatever they can to damage as much as stuff they can and they will not answer your phone calls. They should not be in this business because they just want to steal. They will take your hard earned money because they will steal stuff which you worked hard for and you will never get the stuff back. They ask for check for half of the moving charge and upon the delivery they want other half cash because they don’t want you to do stop payment and have credit card company fight with them for the cost. Never ever pay them with check or cash in fact never ever hire them if you do not want to have your costly and any of your belongings to disappear. Handle with care is the worst moving company that no one should use. Instead of last Rating 9one star they should have choice if minus one thru five star ratings and they would be minus five stars.

   I wish I could rate them a 0! This company lied to me from start to finish. On day two of packing. Their truck arrived, lifted the back gate and my bed frame and other belongings fell on to the driveway. A strap was not fastened properly. When I asked questions, Their pick up team threatened to "leave my sh*% by the side of the road" That's a quote. Multiple items were never delivered. Many more damaged. They said they don't use contract companies - that's a lie. The truck arrived at our new home with just a driver. I had to unload the truck! We received not reimbursement for many items that never arrived at our new home. We only received $63.00 for damaged items. They paid at .60 per pound. I can add up more than 100 pounds of damaged goods with just three items. We had MANY more than that.

    If you enjoy getting ripped off, rude customer service and lost and broken items then this company is for you! Quoted $1900 and after truck was loaded they said exceeded the limit and went to $3100! The extra items—2 boxes, a broom and a mop. Don’t believe the 5 star ratings. Most of those are paid and if you look closely you will see they have rated 4-5 moving companies in a few months. STAY AWAY YOU ARE WARNED!!
