   total rip off

   I used them a little over three years ago to move from California. I went over all my items with 3 different people and they all agreed on the size truck I would need. They showed up with too small a truck. The head guy looked at my storage units and said the est. was right on. They filled the truck halfway and told me that was all I was allotted and I needed to pay another $3,000+ to move everything. Then when my stuff arrived the mattress and bed frame were tied onto the back of the truck and driven through snow storms on the way here. All of it was ruined. A few boxes were missing. I called and could never get anyone to call me back. I figure I lost over $6,000 in damaged and lost items. Never ever use them

   Broken Items, Bad Coordination.

   STAY AWAY. I've moved several times and this was the worst moving experience I've ever had and now I need to file a claim for damages. The people at their office do not communicate with the truck drivers and will say whatever they think will get you off the phone. Their price estimates are also way off. If you think you're getting a good deal, add about 70% to your quote; their software grossly underestimates the volume of certain items and unless you know the cubic footage of your stuff beforehand, you won't catch it until they charge you for it. For reference, I was quoted $2800 and got charged $4200. My estimate was only off by 170 cubic feet. These guys showed up to my house 4 hours late, tired as hell because they drove from Baltimore to Boston for the job. They were scheduled to deliver my stuff between 5-8pm on a Friday; I get a call at 829pm saying they have 6 hours left on the road so they're going to come the next day. Why couldn't they tell me that 3 hours sooner, when I could still change my plans? Then, when they show up, half my furniture is broken. I'm not kidding: a dresser is missing a leg, 3 wheels from a serving cart are gone, one of my side tables is destroyed. Oh, and you better watch them put your bed together if they took it apart, because they put my headboard on backwards and stripped EVERY SINGLE BOLT in the process, so I can't even fix it myself! I'll update this review based on my experience with their claims (for my damages) and refunds (I have a second job booked with them that I'm canceling asap).

   Avoid at all cost.

   DO NOT USE I&A is my advice. They rewrote the contract, added $500 dollars without telling me about the increase. They took my property and refused to unload without the additional $500. I refused to pay and the driver drove off with my goods. What I could see of my boxes they were pretty well smashed as well. The office person, Dave, kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain the situation. He actually said "I don't care about the contract." (Yes that is a quote.).

   I And A are Rogue Mivets.

   I and A movers were the movers that Purple Heart Moving Group used to transport our goods from Maine to Oregon. I and A are rogue movers for the following reasons. 1. They did not give us a copy of “ your rights and Responsibilities When you Move” which they are required to do. 2. They weighed nothing and charged by the square foot. 3. There was no on site inspection. 4.Charges were determined after loading 5. No information about registration or insurance on website. 6. Arrived in leased truck 7. Constantly spoke Russian and mentioned mob 8. Constantly late 9. Complained, acted nasty.
