   Great Company

   I used Interstate Direct Movers to my my 3 bdr home from Illinois to Ocala FL. The movers did a great job, they were professional and very careful with all my furniture. They also moved me within the 72 hours that they promised it would take. They did a direct move and only my furniture was on the truck. I would definitely use this company again.

   I moved from IL to Wisconsin and I used Interstate Direct Movers. The movers were incredible!! They packed all my furniture like it was new. The guys were incredible nice and they went out of their way to move my belonging where I wanted them in several rooms. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I recommend this moving Comp to anyone.

   Strong Professional Movers

   I used Interstate Direct Movers to move part of my company and the movers were excellent. They were friendly and professional! TK and Mark were incredibly strong and they wrapped all my items in blankets very professionally. The movers took extra care on my business items like computers, printers and desks. I would definitely recommend them and I will be using them on the other part of my move to Wisconsin.

   Excellent Service

   We made a move from Grays Lake IL. to TN and the movers were outstanding. They packed all of our belongings in a full pack move and there was no damages. I can't recommend this company enough. The movers were polite and hard working and the lines of communication from time of booking to delivery was excellent!! The time of delivery was within 48 hours where other companies couldn't give an exact delivery time.

   Long Distance move

   I used Interstate Direct movers for a job relocation and I had a really great experience. My company always uses the same moving companies, however, this time the move time needed to be quicker because I had to start my new position with two days. The movers arrived and had all my stuff packed into the truck with four hours. They packed all my furniture like it was brand new. The movers were able to deliver my furniture the next afternoon from IL. to Ohio. I definitely recommend this company especially for long distance. Bob

   Shady movers

   These guys showed up in an unmarked truck and illegally parked in the alley, which required a permit. they later demanded several thousand dollars more, even though we already did a video tour and had an agreed upon price. They also said they didn’t offer both types of insurance and only offer the one where you get reimbursed by weight — which is a huge rip off. After doing research into this company, we concluded they might be running a scheme. Look them up on the federal motor carrier safety administration website. They have complaints filed against them and have a fleet size of only 1 truck. My guess — most of these good reviews are not legit.

   Please remove this review as Marie King NEVER moved with Interstate Direct Movers. This same person wrote a review several times on Yelp and they had removed it but she kept posting it. Again Marie King was never a customer of Interstate Direct Movers. I challenged this suppose customer to send proof of her move with us-Example to Confirmation Order from her move or an estimate--She never responded!! Some customers get us mixed up with Interstate Movers---However, we are Interstate Direct Movers. Again, please remove this false review!!

   Abandoned the move on moving day!

   My 68 year old mother hired Interstate Direct Movers to move her from Illinois to Ohio and they cancelled in the middle of the move! They did an over the phone flat rate that included a 5 piece queen bedroom suite and a jewelry armoire; 1 queen mattress and frame; 5 piece living room suite; 5 piece dining table and chairs; curio cabinet and 30 totes. They never physically or visually saw the furniture, which I found quite peculiar. I’m retired military and have done countless moves in which a survey of household goods was always conducted. While it doesn’t seem like much, my mom has oversized furniture. It would have been prudent of Interstate Direct Movers to have a visual of the furniture. On the day of the move, Interstate Direct Movers showed up with a 16 foot truck rented from Enterprise. I thought maybe a second truck was coming, because it appeared to be too small for the move. My mother even confirmed with [NAME EDIT] the day prior because she was concerned after hearing the size of the truck they were sending to do the job. [NAME EDIT] assured her it was no problem and even stated she could fit 40 boxes versus the 30 totes. I gave the movers a tour of the house indicating what all was being moved. After seeing the sofa, they said everything may not fit, but if the sofa would fit upright in the moving truck, then everything else would fit. After placing the sofa on the truck, the movers confirmed that everything was not going to fit and that they would have to leave some items behind. They suggested that we rent another truck and move it ourselves. Which defeats the purpose of hiring a moving company. By this time, I was headed back to Ohio to get there in time to meet the movers. I was 20 minutes into my drive when I had to turn around, heading back to my mother’s home as I could tell she was in distress. My mother contacted the lead, [NAME EDIT] to discuss other options. [NAME EDIT] indicated that no bigger trucks were available. As my mother was discussing the matter with [NAME EDIT], the line was disconnected. I believe he hung up on her as he refused to take her call after trying several times. I was sitting next to her during the call. She was very professional and polite, so [NAME EDIT] had no reason to hang up on her. I tried calling Joe several times and he would not take my call either. Meanwhile, the movers removed the 2 sofas off the truck and left. No one said anything to my mother, they just left and abandoned the move. Shortly after, Interstate Direct Movers refunded her deposit. My mother sold her home and the walkthrough was the following day. So, [NAME EDIT] left her in a jam and distraught as the entire house had to be cleared for the walkthrough. We ended up renting a 26 foot U-Haul to move her ourselves. Which her household goods filled ¾ of the truck, so there was no way a 16 foot truck would have worked. The way this “company” handled my mother’s move is appalling and egregious! As I stated above, I have moved several times throughout my military career and this company is by far the worst I have ever come across. To abandon a move the day before a walkthrough is unprofessional and incompetent to say the least. What legitimate professional moving company solidifies a move without a survey either in person or virtually? I would never do business with Interstate Direct Movers and would not recommend them to anyone. This was an emotional time for my mother as she had lived in that house for 27 years, and Interstate Direct Movers made an already emotionally charged move even worse. Do not rely on google reviews because the company reports and have negative reviews deleted. The owner tried to rebut my review with an outright lie.

   Hi Larissa, To respond to your accusations about inventory, you and our representative took an inventory over the phone and he kept asking you if there was any more items to be listed that your mother had. The softare we use clearly stated you had under 800 cubic ft. which we use a 16' truck for 800 cubic ft. or less. When are movers arrived on the day of the move, they called me to tell me there was a myriad of items that was not on the inventory form. Also, you stated there was a working elevator in which there was not. I tried to work with you, and I told you that all of our larger 26' trucks were in use. I had suggested that you could rent a 26' truck and our movers would help you load and drive the truck, but you didn't want to hear any other suggestions. I always tell my customer to be totally transparent while giving an inventory because this is what the end result could be. Interstate Direct Movers also refunded your deposit when our policy states there is only a refund up to 3 days prior to the move date. Again, all of this could have been avoided with a more trasparent inventory & a working environment that would allow the movers to do their job. Sincerely, Management
