Horrible moving experience
This was a nightmare of an experience. I would never recommend Matt's Moving to anyone! Not only did they lose to of my boxes wtih ~ $2,00 worth of valuables, they also damaged my sleep number bed. The first question I asked when assessing moving companies is if they were expereince with sleep number beds an dthey reassured me that they were. What liars! After the move they placed my sleep number remote in a hidden place which took me 3-4 hours to even find it, only to find out taht my bed wasn't working. It took days to even get in touch for them to come and fix the flat bed. Well it worked for about 1-2 days sand then was flat again. In addition the bed was stuck at a 45 degree angle and not able to adjust it. I had to spend my own money to sleep at a hotel since the bed was not fixed. They sent someone else out to fix it and not only did he fix it for only 1 night but managed to turn the bed upside down thinking he knew what he was doing. After that they basically refused to further address the matter. I had to schedule further out with sleep number and pay them to come fix it. They were much help and it was working again. Within a week one side of the bed began going flat and continues to do so. So, that means that they also managed to puncture the mattress. I had to order parts and now have to modify my schedule again to have sleep number come and fix it. This has cost me about $900. In addition, I have had to leave work and other activities early multiple days to speak with Sleep number staff. I have spent hours on the phone with that company scheduling appointment, trying to get forms that Matt's moving is mandating. Multiple people at Sleep number have told me that they don't even have that type of form, But does Matt's Moving care? heck no! They are basically saying that they won't pay me without the forms that do not even exist. Matt's Moving is the worlds worst moving company!!! I do NOT recommend them. They will give you trouble, could care les about their customers and their valuable supplies and only care about stealing your money! I DO NOT RECOMMNED THIS COMPANY unless you want a lot of trouble!

Piano moving disaster
I hired Matts to move a piano, small desk and bookcase. They assured me that they were sending an experienced crew. They sent one experienced man and one man who was clearly brand new and did not have the strength to handle a piano. They dropped the piano many times, chipping a concrete step outside and taking a chunk out of the wood side of the piano (plus scratches). Also they broke the back of the bookcase (the easiest item to move in the group!). I've called "customer care" 5 times, left messages and not gotten one call back. Some "care"! That complete disregard is perhaps the most annoying part of the experience. I'll never use them again.

Terrible Employees
Minneapolis Moving staff sucks. I've had the joy of having them leave twice because we were packing the kitchen still.on top of that after I figured all was good on the third day things are moving the guys seem ok I go home to leave my father with his move and the movers take off with a half loaded truck because my father wasn't ready for them to take his dresser yet... whole house to move and they a having a tantrum over a dresser with may I add is full and my father is taking the drawes out of.

The Worst Ever.
This is by far the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. The mover’s were rude to me, damaged my bed removed the mattress protector before they dragged it on the grown, which they also assembled incorrectly. Out of a 3 man crew two of them spent most of their time hanging outside of the truck doing nothing. I confronted the mover about the damage and he essentially accused me of complaining because I was black. I called Matt’s to request reimbursement for the damages and an apology for the poor treatment by their staff. I had the dishonor of speaking to Micha who refused to provide me with the contact information for their insurance provider and told me they handle their own claims and do not use an independent provider. It was so stressful I finally just gave up and replaced the damaged items myself. Anywhere else would be better.

Document Everything.
Crew severely damaged leather sofa, bent a bed frame, and falsified contract documents. They stated they were there 1.25 hours longer than they actually were. They blamed us for the damage to the couch saying we ripped it moving it from the center of the room to the wall rather than them causing the damage forcing it through a doorframe. Had Matt come out to look at the damages and talk about the situation and found him to be condescending. He promised to get back to me the next day (took 3 days) and said he would "make it right". We have been working with them for over 3 weeks and still have not received compensation. I also find their policy of compensating destroyed items by weight ridiculous. We could never replace a leather couch for the $162 we were offered. Would never recommend Matt's to anyone.

Not great.
A friendly woman took the initial call and recorded our special schedule request for unloading a moving van. In spite of that there was miscommunication between their office and the movers and they arrived way early and couldn't reach my husband (our request included he was NOT available at all until the scheduled time). When they finally talked to him they chewed him out - he felt abused. I was still in another state so called and tried to help resolve this and it was very uncomfortable. A different team came later and they were great. So our conclusion? Hit or miss in a big way. Won't use them again nor recommend them to others. They really need better internal communication. Yuck.
