   No refund

   I paid Move Smart a deposit of $1148 via electronic check on 6/11/21 for a move from Rochester NY to Houston TX. I cancelled on 6/12/21 within the 72 hours guaranteed for a refund. On 6/14/21 I received an email from the company that I would receive the refund within 30 days. It’s been 4 months and no refund. I have called customer service several times and they route to accounting who never picks up or responds to vmm. Customer service says they have no control over accounting. I want my deposit!!

   Organised crime ring, RICO Conspiracy

   This company operates a RICO Conspiracy as is likely part of a larger organized crime ring. They are a legal company but operate as a criminal organization. They only want to take your deposit. That's the first part of the scam. The second part is when the people they send to move your stuff jack the price up or hold your stuff hostage for ransom. If they do deliver your stuff it will be partially stolen, never arrive, or arrive completely destroyed. I got a quote for 9500 had to pay a 2500.00 deposit. They keep the deposit and the people they hired wanted 22,000 dollars to move me. They told me they were the moving company, they are a broker. They no longer answer the phone or respond by email.

   Move Smart Scam

   Please do not use this company. They quoted 2500.00 for a move and then 2 days before changed the quote to $2,900 and then today when the movers got there, they said it will be $3,800. We had 19 boxes and the quote was for 24 boxes. 2 beds and 2 dressers and 3 barstools. We never changed the items and when we called customer service they said that we had more cubic feet than what they quoted. Please do not get scammed by these people. Michael said they had to raise the price to get someone to pick it up. Almost double!!!!!!

   Waiting for refund No one showed up on moving days

   I had contract with Move Smart back on May and they scheduled pick up day were 06/28-06/29 ( note: at the time of signing contract they are very nice. So I thought this is good company) They said they will call me few days prior to moving date. But no one call me. I made many phone calls tried to confirm my moving date. But no one answer the phone calls went to answer machine On 06/28 I got email from the company and they said they will pick up furniture on 06/28. But no one showed up. No one called me have no idea what is going on On 06/29 Move Smart sent email said they were sorry for the delays and for sure they will picked up furniture on 06/29. I made many phone calls but still no one show up. I make many phone calls again tried to know what is happening But no response no one showed up Finally on 06/29 late evening I sent email to the company to request my deposit back because no service was provided, no phone call response, no one showed up to pick up my furniture. Move smart sent me email and they said they can offer 75% refund or tried to schedule for next day. But I needed to be somewhere next day so I was not available I sent them email let them know I am not available and I should get full refund because there has no service provided ( I can provide the email info from Move smart if needed) I file dispute for my deposit 930.00 I am so disappointed for all the issues with Move Smart company Now I am still waiting for my refund I would give the rate = 0

   Move Smart is nothing but a scam...not sure how any decent human being can spend their days lying and deceiving people to steal money. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night! This company is nothing but a broker and a disgrace to the moving company industry. They cheated us out of $2,860.00 with no services rendered. One can only hope that karma comes full circle!!!

   Scam company

   I learned my lesson the hard way. First of all don't ever let a moving company withdraw the deposit from your checking account. Always use a credit card so you can file a dispute. I got no return phone calls after I placed the deposit. The morning of the move the dispatcher called to tell me that they did not have a crew for that day. I explained that I had to get on the road because of my husband's health condition. At 7 PM that night as I'm driving in another state, I got alerted that the moving van was in my neighborhood.One of their operations managers called and promised to refund my deposit based upon my incredibly bad experience. Of course she never called me back. They make a lot of promises but don't deliver. They haven't heard the last from me.

   The moment they got my deposit, the chase was on. Horrible, Horrible customer service. Can't get anyone on the phone, they NEVER return phone calls. When the company picked up my furniture I ended up paying $200 more because their contract cost didn't match mine. Move Smart assured me they would reimburse me. As of today I still don't have the money and am STILL waiting for my furniture! Use another company.

   I don’t even have the words to describe what kind of sick, lying, scam, fraudulent company this is. I hope they get shut down one day. Stole $ from me. Quoted me a price for a move, took a deposit and then my price jacked up 3x once my stuff was loaded onto a different moving company’s truck, Bc Move Smart NEVER mentioned they were a brokerage to me.

   Stay away from these scammers

   I hired move smart in Feb 2021 to move my stuff from Chicago to Washington. Unfortunately I trusted the telephone representative and gave advance but soon realised they are not trustworthy so I canceled my order and asked them to eturn my money. They said they will refund my money but so far have received nothing. No one answers the phone and they dont care about BBB or FMCSA complaints. Please stay away from them and hire a proper mover. I hope this review saves someone their hard earned money.

    The move was terrible all they are doing tripping out people never told you that they were contract took my money stop contact with me shoot me off to instant movers which ripped me off as well but I am Stephanie suing them I have a lawyer working on it now just wanted to let them know you got to stop ripping people off
