   Removal that made me smile!

   I am so happy that I went with Removals with a Smile for my recent house move. Sam was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Our initial quote was provided after a viewing at the house and was very fair and reasonable and Sam was always very fast to reply to all communication (both over text and email). Our moving date had to be rescheduled due to a hold up and this was absolutely no issue at all which really took a lot of the stress off. On the day of the move Sam and his team were on time, very professional, very quick and most importantly very careful with all of our stuff. Nothing was too much trouble for them (including the dismantling and reassembling of items and carrying heavy things up and down the stairs). If I were ever to move house again I wouldn't even think of going to anyone else and can highly recommend Removals with a Smile. Thank you Sam and team for making what would usually be a stressful day as easy as possible.

   Removal

   Sam moved me from my house and he did a wonderful job, very friendly, very careful and very professional.I had some large pieces of old furniture that he took absolute care with (i was very worried about them before the move). Top marks for him and his team, he also had a little four legged friend who was a lovely mascot for the company. Will definitely use him again in the future. Cheers Sam!

   REmovals with a smile.

   Sussex doesn't seem to exist on your website?! So had to put London as delivery destination! REmovals with a smile were incredibly professional. Dennis came round to view our property and we had a quote within a few days. He also had lots of tips on how to pack up, as we were doing some bits ourselves. All in all, what is a very stressful experience turned out to be very stress-free. Our 3-bed house was packed up in a day, and all delivered safely and promptly the next day. Everything unpacked and  reassembled in just under a day, couldn't have gone any better. The team were polite, helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. We would definately use them again.

   Fantastic service, excellent cost.

   Fantastic affordable removals. They were very flexible with time as we didn't want to spend more money than necessary. We booked the minimum 3 hours with the option to add extra time if we needed it, suited us perfectly. on the morning of the move they arrived before our 9am start and cracked on straight away, they managed to on load and offload within the 3 hours. They took care with our furniture and gave us the option to help us rebuild furniture in our new property. I was also offered packing boxes on booking but didn't need them.. Wouldn't hesitate to use again or recommend. Brilliant company at a fantastic price.

   DONT use this company unless you want damaged items and lies.

   We used this company in september 2018, the writing was on the walls. They are not a member of the BAR or National Guild Of Removers, so I should have seen this coming. They damaged our furniture and were clearly untrained, and then when I tried to compIain, their response was full of lies. I found this company through 'Really Moving' so I would steer clear of them too. RM said they would refer to the Ombudsman and were awaiting a response. After weeks of chasing them they told me they hadn't passed my complaint onto the ombudsman! I have no come back as RWOS are not members of the BAR and NGoR. The whole episode was a nightmare and I'm still fighting to have my furniture repaired of which I have in writing they will do, but they refuse to respond or actually come and fix it.

   "Removals with abuse" I would stay well clear of this company. My move was from London to Oxford over three days at the end of June 2018. The quote of £1,800.00 was competitive because they did not charge VAT. I arranged parking at both ends, and paid half the price (£900.00) by bank transfer. I supplied all the workers with tea and selections of biscuits for the whole operation. The weather was perfect. Dennis and his mate did a great job of packing on the first day. What a pity Dennis is retiring and arranging for his son to take over the company! Sam and his mates came on the second day. Things went reasonably well, although some of the men and vans came and went without much of an explanation. But on the the day of the move itself, oh dear! Sam was so abusive and inefficient! The men had lifted the new blinds right up and they were stuck. I thought they were faulty. When I asked gently "Why do you think I could not let them down?" Sam replied: "Because you are an idiot". I was stunned and did not respond, as I felt stressed and close to tears; I never expected such rudeness from the boss of a company I was paying to help me! I was stuck with Sam, as I had already paid £900, and most of my belongings were on the van, otherwise I would have sent Sam packing!! He came later to apologise, prompted by one of the men who had witnessed the exchange. A couple of hours later, when Sam decided he had packed everything, he jumped into his van and started driving away. I ran and asked him to go round the house with me. He refused, saying he wanted to get away before lunch. When I went round the house one last time, I discovered that the living room was filthy with squashed snails and damp earth; I cleaned up, then resumed my inspection: my washing machine and drier had been left behind in the utility room. I phoned Sam but he refused to come back and pick them up. I had to spend most of the afternoon arranging with my estate agents, my buyers, and Sam himself, by phone, a way of retrieving my white goods. Fortunately, I had arranged for my son and his family, at the Oxford end, to supervise moving the contents of the van into my new house. By the time I had finished negotiations at the London end, let in the new occupants and driven to Oxford, Sam was waiting and demanded the other half of his money. I gave him £500 in cash and arranged for him to bring the white goods to Oxford from London the following week, when my daughter in law gave him the £400 balance in my absence. I have now finished unpacking and am missing four essential tampered glass shelves for one display cabinet. Did they break them and not tell me? Have they still got them? I have not heard. They did not bother to wrap protection round the leather sofa, and it is badly scratched; the brown stains are hard to take off from the paintwork of my new house! I found grass and small leaves stuck to sheets and towels. One plant pot, one crystal glass arrived broken without anything being mentioned. I won't bore you with other small details but recommend that you stay well clear of this company.
