   Rent-Son is incredibly professional, responsive and FAST! One of the best moving experiences I have ever had. Would recommend in a heartbeat! They were on time and incredibly efficient. Moving supplies were very helpful with larger and harder to pack items like paintings, tv and mattress. They took care of everything.

   Our family recently did a renovation and needed help to move to another house while our home was under construction. The Rent a Son team was very professional and organized and really helped us in a very stressful time. The guys were very careful and professional and took care to ensure all our stuff was handled properly and delivered to the right rooms in the house. When we were ready to move back in, we called them and we were happy to have the same experience! Hopefully the next reno is very far down the road for us, but I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an experienced professional team to help them move!

   I don’t think I would hire them again

   My quote was for 2 guys and moving blankets and mattress covers (i paid for to protect my recently purchased 4 month old new mattresses) to do an internal apartment move from one floor to another. They didn't use the moving pads or the mattress covers. My new mattresses were both all dirty from the move. I complained about this and the person reimbursed me $250 to have them cleaned by a company I call and hire myself. It was also understood that they would take apart and reassemble two beds. They left out/lost 6 long screws/bolts and I had to reorder from the manufacturer and put together myself. It was also confirmed that the guys remove a set of roller blinds from a window, which they did but the work order didn't mention it even though it was confirmed with the guy on the phone when we went through all that was needed for services. The young guys did the move but it was casual and not so professional overall. The confirmed quote was aprox $450 and the actual bill came to almost $800. So that was a big difference. Even when I called the company with my complaint the lady i dealt with didnt seem to care that the work was done poorly. I appreciate that they reimbursed me for their negligence but all of this was a big inconvenience. I hired movers to make it easier on myself and these issues were disappointing.

   Damages/Missing Items/Ignoring my phone calls and emails

   My contractor, highly recommended Rent-a-Son. However, they have been a total disaster. After two months in storage, my furniture was returned to my condo. There was significant damage along with several missing items. My black cherry wood bed was gouged and scraped. My dining room table could not be reassembled because of a broken leg. Our six foot floor lamp was broken in two and was deemed non repairable. Many other pieces were scratched and chipped. It took six weeks to get them to inspect the damage and do some cosmetic repairs. I was offered less than 1/3 of the cost of the lamp, because they said that the insurance I had purchased only paid by the pound. Since I had payed extra to purchase their “premium” insurance package, I asked to see the wording in the policy. That request along with my phone calls and emails to Erika have been totally ignored. I was asked to waive the unpacking, which I did. My only request was, because I am a senior, that my extremely heavy bed be reassembled. Almost three months later and several emails, the bottom section of the bed is still not reattached. All of the above has been extremely frustrating, but our greatest concern is with the missing items. Our leased Bell PVR ($499) is missing, along with an IPad and two older IPhones. I’ve asked them to check to make sure a box wasn’t missed, but again my request and my losses are being totally ignored. My wife and I are very concerned that both the IPad and the phones contain personal information. My advice is use Rent-a-Son at your own risk. Sam Roberts
