   DO NOT HIRE! STRESSFUL NIGHTMARE!

   It's a shame MovingReviews doesn't offer a negative scoring system. I can't begin to explain how awful my experience was with this company and I'm sure you do not have 30 minutes to read all the details. 1. When they moved us out they refused to finish the job and charged us a second time to come back and finish what they had not originally taken (Luckily our buyers let us keep items in the garage for a week). They forged my signature for charges I did not authorize. 2. They continued to charge our credit card while we were trying to sort out issues from the moves. 3. They did over $6,000 worth of damage. 4. Some of our things ended up in other peoples' homes and we had others' belongings delivered to our house. Please see the attachment. Our $700 Sonos Soundbar was misplaced and never returned and the owner admitted to it through email. 5. I spent hours jumping through hoops in order to file an insurance claim and after 4 months I was offered $124. Mind you, I paid $80 for the insurance during the 2 months our belongings were in storage.

   !!!WARNING!!! Never use RMS for your moving or storage moving need here you will find a true and useful review as to the RMS Movers and Storage. I usually only review companies if it merits a review, and RMS is one of those companies that merits a review. Contacting RMS for new service is very responsive, I talk to Dante and he was very attentive and requested a full list of items that were being move along with scheduling went great. Once the movers arrive we noticed one on the crew members was so drugged that his smell and demeanor showed and his work ethics he was slow and clumsy. Being prepared for then to be able to move your belonging with doors removed and everything ready for a simple move. The movers were not prepared to move the heavy items on my list I had to provide them with casters as they only showed up with a cheap dolly they had no idea how to use, so they decided to slide my refrigerator down the stairs and dented the back of the refrigerator. To add insult to injury when we receive this refrigerator they managed to break 2 shelves and 4 drawer from the inside of the refrigerator. Once I made it clear that we need to address these item RMS became very unresponsive Malcolm Rogers Owner of RMS referred me to his claims department and his claim department is very unresponsive to the point that you can only communicate with them via email after you submit a claim. Also submitting a claim is very hard as you do not know what is required to submit a claim. I had to submit my claim form 5 times and followed up with an email for the claim department to respond and verify they receive my claim. List of items Damaged or Destroyed by RMS Movers and Storage 1. They manage to drop my Dishwasher and break a tile on the kitchen floor and the dishwasher was also leaking after that and I was not able to verify that until a few days ago when I tried to connect it in my new home. 2. They dented the back and scratched the lower front stainless steel drawer, and somehow manage to break several drawers and shelves internally. 3. They heavily dented and scratched the Refrigerator 2 on all four sides. 4. RMS during storage manage to dent every corner on my dining room table and bench. 5. RMS also return my well wrapped queen size mattress completely dirty as it looks to have been dragged through their ware house. 6. They lost the rails to the queen size bed and scrapped the wood on one side as it appear to have been dragged across their truck or warehouse. 7. They also chipped the bunk beds and rails and bent several screws that now the bunk bed is garbage. 8. There is a minor dents both stoves. 9. And Last but not least the scrape and lost pieces to the dishwasher and dryer.

   I have learned that they've actually just gotten their moving license revoked for the sixth time, have been fined for defrauding customers and are currently are banned from making intrastate moves. So if they attempt to move you within the state of Illinois- report them. I've had a terrible experience with this company. They were supposed to move my family but everything went wrong. The movers arrived and smelled of marijuana. They brought a truck that was way too small and refused to complete the move even though there was space left in the truck. They then attempted to leave with our items and we had to threaten to involve police so that they wouldn't take our belongings away. Finally they moved some of our items to our storage unit and presented an invoice that was $600+ the agreed upon amount. We refused to pay and came to an agreement with the manager to pay the original price over the phone. We paid over phone with credit card and received a receipt. Movers were supposed to come the following day to complete the move. They never came. However, RMS did make a sneaky and unauthorized charge for the additional $600+ after hours. They then forged our signature on the invoice. Wild stuff. This company also deletes negative comments from Google and have several 5 star comments that appear fake. Check other review sites and you will see the truth.
