   Teleport Movers.

   My move was a 200 mile relocation. The movers arrived promptly and well prepared. They loaded, drove and unloaded my belongings in the allotted time with no damage. Both the driver and helper were professional, courteous and friendly. I recommend these movers for anyone needing moving services. The service was great! Priscilla.

   Deceptive Business Practices

   I had a disappointing experience with Teleport Movers, and I want to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. Before purchasing their Groupon deal, I carefully read all the fine print about additional fees. I even emailed the company directly to confirm any extra charges before buying. Despite my diligence, I found their pricing to be misleading and deceptive. The actual Groupon deal was $70 for two hours of moving, plus a $99 fuel/transportation fee. That was all fine. However, they later tacked on a $40 Heavy Bulk Item fee—even though I had no heavy bulk items. The heaviest thing I had may have weighed 50 lbs if that. When I questioned this, I dealt with Brian, who seemed to be reading from a script rather than actually addressing my concerns. He first insisted the fee was for "heavy bulk items," but when I pointed out I had none, he shifted the explanation, saying the $40 was a required minimum charge and refusing to remove it. Here’s my issue: If the $40 is a required minimum charge, just be upfront about it! Don’t disguise it as a “heavy bulk fee” when it applies to every customer. The amount itself wasn’t the problem—I was still getting a good deal. But the lack of transparency and integrity in their pricing made me uncomfortable entrusting them with my move. I ultimately canceled because I prefer to pay more for a company I can trust. I don’t blame Brian personally—it was clear he was just following instructions from management without any real decision-making authority. That said, their business practices raise red flags. Buyers, beware!

   Different experience this time

   I have used Teleport for years, referred them, and they even moved my mom recently. This was by far the worst experience with them. The move started at 0752 the afternoon rolls around other are not done! It is a one small-bedroom apartment! The cost went from $175 to over $400. At some point during the move, there is only one person moving everything, he even asked me to assist with getting the sofa onto the dolly! When trying to explain to the office there was no compassion because of course I'm lying and trying to avoid paying. That has never been the case previously. He instructed them to "lock the truck" with my some of my belongings on there. I went out and started moving my own things from the truck. The only furniture that required disassembling was my bed other than that everything else was boxed and ready to go. No major appliances, not even a dining room set. The dolly sat in my kitchen unused for the majority of the move! feel like the move was unnecessarily prolonged for monetary reasons. I will never use their services again. The guy over the phone from the office found it funny and laughed. I wish Teleport Movers nothing but the best, definitely took me out of character yesterday but never again.
